I like the neatness of the acrylic thread and I'm worried dt the cotton thread would be too tight on the hair especially if you are making this style on a struggling one year old like me. So I would say when doing thick portions of hair, use acrylic thread. Acrylic thread might overwhelm thin portions of hair so cotton thread would be better for these. I also think take down would be easier with acrylic thread. Cotton thread might get lost in old messy hair. Thanks for this tutorial. I hope I feel bold enough to try this style soon
Perfect... I did cornrows on my daughter yesterday and it took long and they are not as neat as I would like.. I can’t wait to try this Thankyou for comparing the two threads
This is amazing! I’m just learning of these technique. What happens if your thread runs out in the middle of a cornrow? How do you continue without seeing a seam in the braid?
Leave a little longer than 5 inches thread and tuck it in with the hair, and start a new thread but go over a few stitches to maintain the neatness. I hope that answers you 😘
I like the cotton thread. How long did it last? Have you considered using gel to help keep it neat? Just learning about this method so I enjoyed this video. Can you do a take down video with this thread?
Meca Smith thank you! For the kids I wouldn’t use gel because I’m not trying to glam it, but if it was for me I would definitely do, to have that snatched look. And I already have a take down video on my channel, not too long ago 💕
My (African) daughter has 4C hair and I think this would be great for her! What do you do to prep the hair and make it easier to part and thread? I struggle to part my daughter's hair, unless it is soaking wet and full of conditioner. Thank you for your wonderful video!
Thank you Sherie, and congrats with the work you are doing with your daughters hair, it does take patience.. I have along the way collected tricks that work, especially a mixture of certain products that are my staples. If you watch especially my latest “wash day” video I have briefly talked about that mixture that I use to moisturize, I have talked about it in most wash day videos. If you have more questions, feel free to ask as I have raised a kinky daughter as well.. and you are right, this style is perfect for kids, especially those with 4c hair as it is painless
I have a question can I combined both threads and get the longevity together with the neatness? I'm looking forward to your answer because I'm very excited to try this method. Thank you for this video
Hey Kezia, I’d say you can experiment with it, however, you need to pay close attention to how much you tighten the cotton one, because it gets really tight! For the length of time I had the cotton one on for my daughter, her ashes were intact because I did not pull. So you can try that.. let us know how it goes
God loves you and will never stop loving you! Repent of your sins and want to give your life to God. God sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. John 3:16 tells us how much God loves us.❤❤❤🙏🏾
Braid at the frontal to start before using the fine thread. It's just our opinion I would stay with the yarn. If I were to us the fine thread it would be with the older person. But I still would not sart too close to the frontal.
Me: watching to see the technique at 3:09am Lady starts over Me: she start it over ,lady I want to sleep ah nah Me: then again the woman not holding your eyes open🥴😅 Looks really nice👍
It’s hard to keep it neat if doing it in your own head.. but there’s a different sewing pattern that I did on myself, the video is on my channel if you are interested
Your daughter is simply beautiful 💕..thanks for the video!
Thanks love😍😘
This is new to me i never shaw someone braid with a needle. You have skills nice good.

Nice hair style
How do I get this needle
I can't find it anywhere
From Nigeria
it's beautiful ❤️
The hair is neat and beautiful 😍
Thanks
Such a lovely protective style! I like both but I wouldn't like the knots, lol w cotton though. Awesome video 🦋❤️😍!
This is lovely Judy. Good job
Thanks gal, it was so much fun too

So cute. I love the style....acrylic looks nicer
They both look nice👌🏽
Please post a video on how to unweave it. thanks.
Liza Yar I already have one up 😍
Black people, we are just magically talented. Isn’t cotton bad for the hair??!! This looks so easier than hand braiding. This is very beautiful.
Thanks you goddess 😍😍
Cotton is more drying and could be too tight for the hair, which could cause breakage.. so I prefer the acrylic
E molto bello , soltanto il capello soffoca così ! E per quanto tempo va lasciato un capello pettinato così ?
Good morning I like both , it will work out well its beautiful.
You can also try synthetic hair kinky twist hair for different textures okay.
She's beautiful and so is her hair 😊
Thank you darling 😍😘
Miss Judy thank you veryvery much here from the sisters from Brazil 🇧🇷
Naomí Leal thank you! Much love sister 💕
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Do we tie both ends to the needle
This is amazing! Does it damage the hair? What a pretty young lady.. 😊
Thanks lovely 🥰
It was not damaging at all, this style protected the hair quite nicely
You can use the chunky yarn...works well with the larger needle
I should definitely try that.. thank you 😍😍
So creative and beautiful
Thank you dear, I’m glad you enjoyed it..
Wish I could find someone in my area who does this style as a great protective style. Apparently not many people do not do this method in the USA???
The one for crotcheting is the best this is excellent wish u could show us more u put yr pondo
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Use some jam inbetween the parts after you are done to help it looks more neat and then tie it down with a satin scarf.
Great job ! This styled ended up being beautiful sis 👍🏼❤
btw What type of hair did you use for the ponytail?
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
It’s just a curly kanekalon from the beauty supply that’s used for braiding, you can really use anything you desire 😍 .. thanks hun 😍
My babies have a channel and i didnt know? Two most humble and beauties in Toronto Canada
Aww mummy! You are not late to the party at all 😍😍😍
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Awesome technique. 🇰🇪 Thanks
Thanks love 🇰🇪
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Nice one my dear 😘
I like it! You do a great job
You can also rub coconut oil on the thread
I love both ways I just need to try it myself or find someone who can execute this 🤔
Let us know how it goes 💕
What does the hair benefit from using this method??
It’s a protective style
Will it be better to use a curved needle? I use a curved needle for sew-ins, but it may be good to use for this style too?
Crystal O I prefer the straight one because it helps me make straight lines when going through the hair, and that gives it a good definition
God loves you and will never stop loving you! Repent of your sins and want to give your life to God. God sent his only Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. John 3:16 tells us how much God loves us.❤❤❤🙏🏾
Thanks sisi
Do this put a lot on tension on your edges?
Not at all.. it looks like it but it’s not tight
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html

It's just our opinion I would stay with the yarn. If I were to us the fine thread it would be with the older person. But I still would not sart too close to the frontal.
I wonder what it would look like with a color thread that doesn't match the natural hair color. Like a bright red or blue for fun.
Its very nice but I would have fear in time for removal, likely to be hard
Very nice, and neat🙏🏿
I like both but prefer the cotton thread
Right!! The cotton one is so neat and lasts longer (while still neat) but the acrylic is more gentle to the skin
C est très beau vraiment
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
What kind of needles are you using
The blunt ones that are for crafting
This is so amazing
Me: watching to see the technique at 3:09am
Lady starts over
Me: she start it over ,lady I want to sleep ah nah
Me: then again the woman not holding your eyes open🥴😅
Looks really nice👍
I’m happy you enjoyed it even at 3am! Thanks boo 😍
😂😂😂 I'm also watching at 2:30 am
Pode colocar entrelaçe com esse método
It's real nice but try out those thread cornrows to do weave
Nice ❤
I like it.
Very nice
Wow 😲 good job girrrrrl...so cute

ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
never seen this before...
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Beautiful
Please where do u get the crochet needle 💉 thanks
Amazon, Walmart and craft stores have them
Go for non toxic materials. Cotton beats the acrylic as far as toxicity
Thank you, I should look at it from that angle
Cornrows look nice but should choose a more natural looking piece for d pinytail
So cute
i like the right 😍
where are you located. I want this on me lol
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Linda essa modelo que fofa🥰💝
Where can I found the needles??
Search Amazon for blunt needles, or your craft stores could have them
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Nice
Interesting! I don't think all of that is necessary. She already has beautiful hair. Oil, grease satin scarf or pillow case. It's creative though.
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
Cool
Ooh you are from Kenya
You already know 🇰🇪😍😍
Lindona🥰
The cotton thread is so much nicer with smaller sections
True, and it held the hair together neatly for longer
I was low-key scared the needle
It is a blunt needle.. harmless
ua-cam.com/video/9cI0iPGoXDg/v-deo.html
I like her hair style. I just wouldn't grab her hair from her frontal forehead. The pulling of the folical.
I will try that.. thank you 😍
You need a bigger needle. Beautiful work though!
🙂
I am going to try it. Thanks for sharing
Lindo
How to undo poz
BUENO Día de RD
😍❤️
Undoing the hair is also a skill or else you cut off your hair
You are very right 😍😍 - I would try not cutting the threads but rather pulling them out
Lets join each other
Baby girl hold her head better than me
She knows better lol.. it’s either that or the scissor 🤣
Causing balding of her edges.
The hair need more moisture man before all that pulling its 2021
Cotton is really drying
Yes I thought so too, and could easily break the hair
Yeah that's cute until your hair line all the way in the back of your scalp 🙃 😅
Music video hair Braids my self Girls kids
I want to see someone do this in their own head
It’s hard to keep it neat if doing it in your own head.. but there’s a different sewing pattern that I did on myself, the video is on my channel if you are interested
