Good luck and be careful. When male Capybara matures they feel the need to dominate and take over the pack. You may wake up to horribly injured or dead pets. I know friends who had this happen to them.

Steve is no doubt very happy with his life. Another capybara might be viewed as competition for all the goodies and he has plenty of friends of other species to keep him busy and happy. This is an amazing household. Thanks so much for sharing the fun.
Thank you for your comment! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed Steve's story and agree that he seems very happy with his life as a member of their family. While we know that capybaras are social animals and thrive in groups, they do their best to provide Steve with plenty of socialization and enrichment through interactions with his animal siblings and his human family.💚🤗
You are such kind wonderful people Steve has struck it lucky, I’m not sure he will be missing his fellow species too much! He’s living in a 5 star resort. 🥰
We like to think that Steve is living in his own little 5-star resort, complete with plenty of love, cuddles, and all the delicious food he could ever want! 😜
Steve is the most fascinating hunk, I wonder what he’s thinking among all those animals - it might be heaven! You’re doing such a wonderful job raising these rescues, thank you❤💛💚.
It's amazing that all these animals play together and get along like they do. They get great care and lots of love!!! Thanks for sharing your story. Love.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Steve is to cute! What a cutie pie. And he's beautiful! I'm happy to see that all the animals get along with eachother. They're so cute together. Lots of cuddles to all!! ❤❤❤❤

Youre right! Animal companions are the true rulers of their homes, and we are just their dedicated servants. Steve certainly has a strong personality and a lot of charisma, and he has definitely made his mark on their household - we can see it! 😜
Wonderful. So much love for your animals and they are just loving it. Steve looks so happy and so spoiled. He looks like such a nice sensitive guy and his name is just perfect. I would like to give you a big hug for being so kind and generous to animals. I know it's a lot of work and usually not much reward except their undying love.
Aw! (The wheeking cry sound is one I have only heard from babies, when they are crying for their mommy to find them. He must think you are his mommy, after all. What a loving family. Capybaras are not a cheap pet. The vet specialist care, the diet.. is $$$$. And they are made to be in a family herd. So it is a major commitment. It is heartwarming to see how well he has adjusted snd how caring this family is.
What a sweet boy, he blends in perfectly with your family. I see that he like pig pig, lol he might think he's one. It's amazing of you and your family to have him as a family member. Great family, thanks for sharing.
I have alwys found these animals so cute they remind me of a giant Guinea Pig and now I know that sound like one! All the best to your family human and furry.
This was so heartwarming & fun to watch! I'd never heard one make sound before, I was so surprised how similar it is to Guinea Pigs (even knowing they're related). They honestly look (& act, minus any aggression) like a combo between a Guinea Pig & a Hippo. Steve looks very happy & healthy with your family, such an awesome opportunity to experience an animal most of us can't. 😊
I love the disclaimer at the end of the video about doing your research before adopting an exotic pet. So important to make sure you have all the resources to care for them properly. ❤
Thank you for your comment! Yes, it's important to do proper research and make sure you can provide the necessary care and environment for any animal you plan to adopt, especially exotic pets. We included the disclaimer because we want to encourage responsible pet ownership and ensure the best possible life for all animals. 😊 ♥️
Poor ole Steve. He may not have other capybaras for company, but he really doesn't know any different, does he? And he has LOTS of other buddies and family for games, hugs and snuggles, plus he has his very own couch to snooze on and how many capybaras can say that? I'd say Steve is quite content with life. LOL! 💖
Oh my goodness, he has ferrets, cats, ducks, a pig and people! He might not have another capy to be with, but Steve is def not lonely, lol don't feel bad! Yall are doing a great job!
Totally agree with the end message. Steve is adorable, and the video makes it look so easy. But any animal, even domesticated animals require work and care. Exotics so much more so.
Absolutely wonderful what you are doing ❤ I've always been captivated by the Capibara from the first time I saw one as a youngster at the Omaha Henry Doorley Zoo. Always thought they looked like a overgrown Guinea Pig 😂
Capys are great with other animals. Thank you for providing Steve with a fulfilling life. Even though he is not with other capys, I am sure he is happy to have so much enrichment from other animals and from time in the water.
So great from you to rescue and care about some wild animals . Can t wait to see you guys release them to their natural habitat when they re all fixed up .

Capybara always seem to get along great with other animals, they are just super mellow. Amazing how big he is but he still sounds like a itty bitty guinea pig.
