- The Titleist GT3 was brought to the PGA Tour for the first time at the 2024 Memorial Tournament and I got a chance to look it over. The Titleist GT3 is one of the Titleist GT drivers that should be released to the public later this summer. It appears to have a moveable weight to create a draw or fade bias and likely has less spin than the GT2.
Don't Titleist say the weights aren't for fade or draw bias, it's for mishit tendencies--if you tend to miss toe or heel the cg shifts via the weight to help correct those off-centre hits.
Is there an option for both since I can mishit on toe and heel?
@@enzy6434 You can shift the weight to either side, but if you just added weight on both sides the centre of gravity would just balance out back to the middle. The idea is that the weight shifts the CG slightly so that it centre a little more behind your main tendency--toe or heel.
You are correct. The weight isnt so much for draw or fade bias as it is for strike stability, heel to toe. I hear mixed results on the effectiveness of this but titleist is always zigging while others zag in terms of technology.
Correct
Had my fitting last week, it’s amazing to hit!
I went for a fitting today. The face feels so much better than the TSR's
I love titleist drivers. Ive played the TSi3 & now the TSr3. My only issue with them is that EXTRA GLOSSY finish. Bro, if i even breathe on the crown of a titleist driver, it gets scratched.
Can we tone down the gloss for future iterations? No...maybe its just me.
That’s insane
GT3 fore me ❤
Another 600 plus dollar driver I'll keep mine
I still game my razr fit xtreme 8.5 and 9.5 I love them
Is this breaking embargo?
Nope
@@DavidDusek Why not?
GT3 remind me of Porsche
Whats the release date for general sale?
No official release date has been given from Titleist, but I suspect it will be August or September. - DD
@@DavidDusek Pretty sure you're wrong re. fade/draw bias. The weight is for mishit tendencies to alter the CG and place it more directly behind the spot in the clubface where you tend to hit the ball. It might have a knock-on effect of reducing fade for heel tendency and reducing draw for toe tendency, but it's not designed to create a draw or fade bias, or at least that is what the fitters etc. say at tpi.
$800 ?
Doesn't hit any better than my tsr3
When did you get a chance to try this?
Meh not really liking the face or design top looks good tho
