Dulce de Leche Lava Cake

Serves: 4 cakes
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups Doce de Leite
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 whole eggs
- 1/4 cup flour
- Additional butter and flour to line ramekins.
Equipment
4 ramekins
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, mix Doce de Leite and melted butter.
2. In a separate medium bowl, mix egg yolks and eggs. Once combined, mix in Doce de Leite mixture. Add in flour, a little at a time, to ensure everything is mixed evenly and the batter is smooth.
3. Line ramekins with butter and flour. Pour out excess flour. Divide Doce de Leite batter in each ramekin. Leave about 1 cm from the top.
4. Bake the cakes for 220˚C / 425˚F for 12-14 minutes. The cakes should be golden brown and should jiggle in the middle. The more you bake, the less molten the center will be.
5. Run a knife along the edges of the ramekin to loosen and invert onto a plate. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy! All Tasty music provided by Audio Network and Warner Chappell Inc. Used with permission

Maybe cristian only has cups that measure in grams, not any cups that measure in cups :/ either way, you could just use a conversion. It's not gonna be very accurate but it'll work

Thanks tasty. This is too good . I made it without oven and got a great result. The only bad thing is that the lava is too dense.

for any one who dose not know. dulce de leche roughly translates from spanish to candy for the milk

in my country we call it milk jam
wouldn't that be using a different version of 'de' though? i think it would best be translated as 'candy made of/from milk', not candy belonging to the milk. idk just my two cents

All that excess flour must not taste particularly nice. You're meant to shake out the excess so that doesn't happen.

You can make it with condensed milk on can. You just put the can in boiling water so its covered and then leave it boiling in 4 hours. Then cool it down and open the tin can. And Voila! Dulce de leche!

Yeah. You could say that. But it's more creamier and delicious (Think I) because of the milk. The texture is really amazing!

+Κυριακή Τσονοπούλου You can search for that on Google, because it's volume and grams are weight, it's different for each ingredient, so you can't just convert it like ounces in grams. The easiest way would be to order some of these cup measurement equipment online or maybe you'll find something near you, as far as I know Ikea has some (if there's one near you). If you'd like to make more american/cup recipes, I'd recommend that. I have a bigger problem when the recipes have packaging sizes in them, I didn't know how many grams/ounces/whatever a butter stick was...
