    I love the BOA system, thank you for putting the dial on the back of the boot! I have a pair of adv boots with the dial on the front and it rubs up against my engine cases making it awkward to stand up on the pegs. I wish other manufacturers would actually ride test their products and figure this stuff out.

    Sorry, one more question: I have used the BOA system -- or similar on my Solomon hiking shoes. The cable broke and I had to ditch the shoes. If I were to take my adventure boots on a real adventure -- Miami to South Africa -- how would I replace the system should it fail? I'm not in looking for faults in your boots -- I want to see how they would work in a failure should I be off the grid for a month. Or are these boots not meant for that? Clearly latches can be replaced or repaired -- the strap is more of a mystery. Sorry for all the questions but I am really in the market at this very time for a boot and yours came at my purchase point.

    So i bought this boot. It is very well made. However the toe box is soo big it doesn't fit under the shifter of my GSA. I have adjusted my shift lever up all the way and it still doesn't work. This is such an issue I wish I hadn't purchased the boots. I love Klim stuff, I have helmet, two jackets, water proof outer, and pants. All my other gear has been designed spot on. I wish I had just skipped the boots, very expensive mistake, now I have had them too long to return.

    Me again... Hey Jayson, not sure if this is the correct channel, but, why the outlanders don't have a protective layer on the left boot to avoid harming the boot when shifting? 🤔

    • @scottrtomlinson
      @scottrtomlinson 3 роки тому +1

      The Outlanders do have a leather overlay on the left boot specifically to protect the boot from the shifter.

    • @DiegoAstorga
      @DiegoAstorga 3 роки тому

      @@scottrtomlinson Yeah, but it seems it's not enough. I use an aftermarket gear lever without a rubber cover, I added a leather cover to the lever but it was more painful to the eyes than the harm it made to the boot. Now I 3d printed a rubber-like cover for the tip and it seems it's working pretty well.

    How would this boot perform for dirtbiking on my KTM 300 xc-w 2 stroke dirtbike. Mostly single track and just basic dirtbike riding. No racing

    Its just kinda sad we can not get these boots here in Germany. I get that not the biggest market for Klim but I just want this stuff. Have the jacket and the pants and the gloves. But boots, just impossible. There isnt even like a sales rep here in norther Germany. Thats whats my retailer is telling us. He has the jackets but you have to really have luck to get one in your size or wait a year like I did. Too bad.

      Hey man, if you break the boa wire or dial on and boa boots, you can go to the boa website, and if you send them a picture of the boot they will send a free replacement. You can also buy replacements there. I hope this helps.

    Make a version without the BOA system then i will buy them.
    Every single pair of work boots i have tried with boa system on has broken....4 pairs. different types/manufactors.
    My faith in boa system for this use is very low.

    Hi, like everyone else, we're all looking for comfort in a boot for adventure travel. But why wear a boot if it is not protected super well, right? Ok, so if I were riding off road fire roads and water crossings -- tons of drops -- how protected are these for your ankles and feet? I get they are comfy -- no problem -- but I care equally that if I drop my BMW F850GSA loaded on my boot -- it will save my feet and the primary reason to wear a boot. Can you comment on your testing process for safety, protections and hard drops on a bike? Were all looking for a balance, but I am looking at the Sidi Adventure 2 and the Forma Evo Adventure for my next big adventure boot -- They seem safer with more protections -- But I am a KLIM Fanboy and would like to buy your product -- but not at the expense of protection.

    Seriously, I hate them things! I bought a pair yesterday and the fact that they have so much room in the front makes it a pain in the ass to get my foot between the foot peg and the shifter. It seems that some people suggest adjusting the shifter, which can be a problem later when you change boots or you decide to wear a different pair of shoes or boots. I know because that happened to me with another pair of boots. I adjusted the shifter for those boots, and when I try to use other boots or even some tennis shoes because I was going to a local park to work out, I couldn't flex my foot far enough to to shift . So I think that I'm taking them back to the store. They are nice looking boots but a lot of people have had very negative experiences with the BOA system. Mainly with the cable breaking. For repair of boots that cost about $450 dollars I expecting more.
    I know a lot of people rave about Klim products. But I also bought a Klim Badlands Pro Jacket, a 1,150 dollar jacket and I really don't think he's that great. Not for 1100 bucks I think doesn't have a liner inside, it's more like a rain jacket. A very expensive rain jacket. The neck opening is somewhat adjustable but not enough for my neck so if it's quite loose around my neck, if I were to write that jacket in the rain, rain will find its way down my neck and I will get it wet. Another Klim product that he's going back to the store.
    I'm starting to think that Klim is the equivalent of BMW motorcycles for the gear market. BMW motorcycles over engineer, over priced, and overrated motorcycles in the market. With 40% of the owners reporting mechanical problems with the motorcycle, make it at one of the top two least dependable motorcycles. But BMW has done an amazing job at marketing. Their motorcycles has some of the best motorcycles in the world. Klim reminds me a lot I'll BMW it seems that Klim has done an amazing job at marketing and when people buy the products they're paying for namebrand. I am sure that a lot of people disagree with me, but for the cost of the products, I think they leave a lot to be desired.

    Shouldn’t have put a BOA system on it , they’re a bugger if the lace breaks (ok if you’re close to home but would suck if you’re in the middle of nowhere ) I went with SIDI instead because of this (have a BOA system on my work boots , absolute pain in the butt when it snaps )

    I love my Klim gear, Latitude and Baja S4. But these look as soft as cheese and should probably only be worn for Starbucks runs. Reinforced sole and toe box aren’t enough for true adventure riding. They have no real ankle support.
