- My first 'how to' video is timely. I just happened to sell a pair of matching tea cups and saucers this weekend. So I thought I would use the chance to show you how I bubble wrap, pack and protect my ceramics for shipping.
Others my have a different way of doing it. But this system works for me and I have yet to have any issues with Tea sets - and I've sold a bunch of tea sets!
Save 5 minutes of your life and watch this at 1.25 speed. It's not exactly riveting entertainment. Cheers!

wish i could spend less time packing items too..it does take some time
Wow! ***** Five Star packing job! Thanks for the demonstration. I will be packing up some cups and saucers to send across the country to my daughter, this has been very helpful. I need to get some of those acoustic foams.
Thanks Bonnie! Shoot me a DM on the Facebook page and I'll send you the link for the foam tiles. Cheers!
Hello,
I just came across your video while researching how to pack tea cups and saucers. Great information, ty
Nice packing thanks for uploading
Nice uncle thanks
Thank you so much for the video. You are the best!
You’re the real deal, subscribed .
Great advice!
👌👌
Need to think of wrapping fine ceramics in terms of an egg drop exam. Always assume somewhere along the delivery process someone will drop kick the box into a wall. I am just getting into selling off my grandparent's china sets and I'm worried about this. Thank you for showing us how you do it. I will probably go overboard with bubble wrap, paper and pellets the first few times.
this was amazing! thank you so much. i just sold 10 Hermes cups and saucers. i am terrified about the packing. i think I will make two packages of 5 each and then pack both small boxes in one heavy duty box, unless you have another suggestion?
Hello Brian,
Thank you for sharing your video. Would you mind sharing the website where you ordered your egg foam padding please.
Thank you,
Arman
That is a WOW! So much packing materials and our Can Postal system is so expensive! I can appreciate that you are a master packer but we always have to keep in mind the size of the box as well as the weight influence the postage. I wish i was better at finding the right mix of package size and protection vs. cost. Nicely done Brian! How much to ship?
Final cost was $15.50 Cdn to go USPS Priority through my shipping company from southern Ontario to California. Ended up at 1.6 lbs. Not much of that is the packing because it's just foam, bubble wrap and paper. Cups and saucers alone were 15 ounces so no way to keep it under a pound. Canada Post would have been over $21 - so with four packages to go from the weekend I definitely saved money.
you probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a trick to get back into an Instagram account??
I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Zakai Henry instablaster ;)
@Lawson Conner thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
What depth are the acoustic foam tiles? 1" or 2" ?
How did you send it? Ground or economy etc?
Great video thank you! How would you pack a ceramic tea pot?
Same concept. Definitely cardboard around the spout and handle.
@@TheMotleyMixMerchant Thank you very much! :)
Hi Brian; I re-watched this for your sage advice. May i ask, where do you get that plain white paper ; i think you said it was the U Haul paper?? How much was it? Also you have over 1000 views with this video; that should be good for increasing your subscribers?
Hi Claire - Yes it's Uhaul wrapping paper. Although I just last month had to buy a box for the first time in 6 months after getting some great free hauls just from posting on FB Marketplace that I would take people's plain newsprint off their hands. One house gave me two full boxes of Uhaul paper. I think they cost about $16 for 200 sheets at Uhaul. Subs are definitely on the rise which is great. Thanks for your continued support.
Just curious. I see a lot of teacups in the thrift stores, but I would never think that today's consumer is a tea drinker. Or that today's consumer wants fancy plates and teas. Who would buy teacup sets these days? Who is your foam supplier in HK?
I think most of them go to people collecting certain makes or themes such as roses. There's still collectors out there. Or maybe replacing a broken cup or saucer so getting the set. I've also sold a few to restaurants believe it or not. British-style breakfast and tea type places. My foam supplier has changed each time because I get them from Wish usually for best price, and the suppliers run out of stock all the time and remove the product. Search on Wish and a number of suppliers come up. Most recent order only took 2.5 weeks to get to Ontario Canada from overseas.
cant find the foam! that foam is awesome and the only time i get my hands on those is when someone ships something in them
Best source for me right now is Wish (dot) com. Search acoustic foam tiles. Good prices and the shipping from China is only taking 2 to 3 weeks.
In covid time you can not cut the tape like that. 😥
It's an older video - I have a packing tape gun now. Cheers!
Bubble wrap should have bubbles against the item as explained by the bubble wrap manufacturers. If on the outside they can be popped and this defeat the purpose of using bubble wrap.
You are correct. Learned the error of my ways awhile back but was too late for that video. Truthfully - the number of times I wrap each piece it wouldn't matter which way they were facing...lol.
Well done! But I cringed every time you cut the tape with your teeth! 😥
I have purchased one of the rolling dispensers with the jagged cutter since back then.😁
