Hullo Samuel, I Live in a ranching area in northern California and I have never seen a dilapidated loading chute. This is how ranchers get their livestock to market. In fact, I repaired fences and shoots during summer jobs. It’s the first place the rancher look to repair when looking at repairing a fence! I understand your desire to create a more fun composition. Maybe this land is been sold to some developer and it’s been years and they haven’t quite developed it yet, so this could be a cause of disrepair, yes? Yes. I enjoyed the video and I like how the trees look too! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, experience and an amazing painting!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the trees. In real life the fence was intact, I just made it look like it was falling apart for the purposes of the composition 😊
@ yes, caught the fact that you were changing the painting to fit your composition, you wanted a better picture I was just trying to create/match a story to explain the the disrepair!
Amazing. I need to say a huge thank You, for video with mountains. Large brush, your colour mixes. I currently use similar palette as You and Andrew Tischler and it's amazing. Also I'm moving to Blue Ridge paints. I found them to have exact consistency as I love. I love greens, but can't force myself to go outside to paint. And best part is nearly lack of green in your palette (except Thalo Green and questionable Cobalt Teal as it's between blue and green).
Samuel, the painting looks wonderful. I have a bach at Coopers Beach and spend 4 months a year in New Zealand. I was wondering if you are near by and have lessons? All the Best!!
Hello...that is a loading shoot for cattle, or other livestock. A truck or trailer back up to the opening. The animals are gathered to the corral there and then loaded and sent off to somewhere....Thanks for the lesson, super good 😁
Very good , thank you. Can you paint over paint that has Liquin in it that isn't quite dry with more paint with Liquin in it ? Hope that makes sense ... lol
You would want to paint over with fatter more oily paint to prevent cracking. Better to paint over with paint straight from the tube with zero medium. Fat over Lean is the rule for this, lots of resources to look up 👍
These channels that make everything easy for you are the worst garbage on UA-cam. Painting something more or less visible without experience is like playing the piano without knowing how to differentiate it from a violin and also in the dark of night. One more stupidity to support a despicable channel.
You do make it look so effortless Sam. Thank you again for sharing your years of experience with all of us.

Just starting with watercolour. You've made it look so easy. Wow!

Magnifique et merci pour tous ces excellents conseils .

In NZ or Australia we call that a loading ramp, for loading cattle onto a cartage truck. Thanks for your post, Dan. Another informative one.
Thanks, glad you found it helpful! 😊
Thank you Samuel. Greetings Ron.
Thank you 😀

I agree with @RumoHaslt who made the comment about the fat over lean rule. Thanks for watching 😀

Thank you, I had no idea what it was called 😂

Hello! You don't understand? Russia already blocking UA-cam not working video. I was upset UA-cam not working. How are you doing?

Ah, e as pessoas já nascem sabendo? Que eu saiba as pessoas precisam aprender primeiro antes de pintar. Comentário sem noção!
