Not sure what I will watch next weekend now! Thanks for sharing all your experiences and perspectives. These videos helped show exactly what we will be getting ourselves into! Kudos to you and your family for completing this epic hike around Mont Blanc. Wish you all the best for your future travels and look forward to more videos!
Thanks for checking them out! More comeing soon - and have a blast on your hike! Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have... will do a "what we packed" video soon..
Thanks for taking these videos. They were amazing. Thanks for the narration and the humor. Thanks for being honest about the difficulties. I did it with my wife about a week after you. We did 7 days with some skips, we slept only in hotels, and our luggage was taken from point to point. It was an amazing !!! trip, can only compare it to the EBC I did 10 years earlier. We are both over 60 and we are extremely proud for doing it. So thanks again for sharing !!!!!!
Loved watching all 10 episodes. Enjoyed the way you presented, and the information and content provided. It will help us with our planning for our TMB attempt in July this year. Thanks again , all three of you👍
Any chance y’all would do a ‘now that it’s over, good bad and ugly’ sit down? Like what was the best section of trail, best dorm, thing you wished you packed, thing you most happy to have, etc. anything you’d do differently? Different length days, different refuges, etc. do you wish you had physically prepared more, etc. would love to hear your thoughts.
Wow, you guys are the best and the narrative throughtout was funny, sad, full of life and fantastic. So, great travels and congratulations on the completion of it all. What a family. Great stuff. I am heading out in 50 days for my own trek of TMB and at 72 want to hurt and enjoy and love it as much as you all did.
Wondrous vid series. Brought back so Many memories. THANKS. The ladders scared me - but only the first 1-2 runs. The rest was non-scary. Just Strenuous. Stayed at Lac Blanc, overnight, in Thunder/rain [2012 - before the (Temporary) hiatus in the quality of the Refugio]. Then s****y hard rain, all next day, which made us descend to Chamonix, 1 day short. But overall, a life-memory. Thanks for sharing YOURS, so vividly ! (and kudos for scoring)
These videos have made feel so much more prepared for our hike in Aug. We absolutely love the honest approach in these videos. No glossing over the challenges you faced. Instead of creating worry this honesty just made us feel... ok, now we know and we can prepare. Looking forward to any future videos you put out.
You da' man Angelo! You did a great job on these videos. They were very entertaining. You have a great sense of humor and a great family. Keep the family adventures going as long as you can. If you like this kind of hut to hut hiking, consider the W trek in Patagonia and Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites. Thanks for sharing these videos and for all the editing you must have put in.
You did fantastic. Twice: With your TMB and this series. Now I'm even better prepared for my tour later this year. I know there will be pain and agony, but I know I'll make it. Believe in your goals and keep the spirit high!
Thank you for your last TMB video! Loved every minute of your trip. I am not staying in one single accommodation you stayed in, but learned a lot from seeing what you did. My daughter (24) and I her mom, (64) will be going the first of Sept, though we will be missing the alps wildflowers (which we always love seeing in spring there), I won't have to be freaking out over those snow pack areas wondering if they will let go...of course the areas between the ladders is now what scares me, but I will do it. Thank you again!
@@OurExitStrategy, yeah, falling through would be horrifying. Yes, as long as my vertigo/balance doesn't make me misstep on all those weird footings after each ladder, I will be ok, if not...a tumbling I will go....down, down the mountain side, a tumbling I will go!
I’ve binge watched this whole series! You all did amazing…where’s the next adventure going to take you?! And when? I’m going to be rewatching the series with my hubs. Best TMB account so far, well done.
We've got lots of stuff filmed (japan/sweden/newfoundland) - but the editing just takes forever. Thank you so much for watching - hopefully we'll post more soon!
Yes! you guys finished it! What an epic adventure, so beautiful. This section looked like one of the tougher ones...and then you just stroll into town 🙂. Thanks for bringing us!
Well done. We go this summer. I'm anxious and excited. I love your quote about stringing enough painful steps together to achieve the goal. I'm sure your family will cherish this memory forever. Thanks for sharing
Congratulations 🎉 what an incredible achievement. I've loved watching your videos on this adventure and I'm thankful for your honesty. I've postponed my plans to do it this year due to a knee problem but hope I'll be fighting fit for next year. Thanks for sharing x
This has been my favorite UA-cam channel for gearing up for the TMB! thank you for being so real!! I hope the TMB content can continue in some other way, it’s been so fun to watch
I’ve watched the whole series through twice now, and have referred it to the other 22 hikers of the group I’ll be going with in July. It’s loaded with tips, insights, humor and gorgeous views throughout. Thank you for providing a polished yet unvarnished take on the TMB. It’s a real treasure! I’m also wondering where you exited the Grand Balcon Sud on the last day, and had you considered taking the Tram/Gondola down like you’d wanted to do approaching Courmayeur?
Thank you so much! Polished but unvarnished- I like that! I'm not 100% sure where we started heading down from the Grand Balcony Sud - I think we were sort of winging it. We did consider taking the Gondola and we probably should have. The Grand Balcony Sud was gorgeous - but once you enter the tree line it's just a long slog through the woods. Pretty - but a bit anti-climactic. My daughter and I really wanted to hit the 103 or 110 miles of walking or whatever it was. Kind of dumb. A gorgeous ride down in a comfortable gondola honestly would have made for a better ending probably!
I discovered your channel when I decided I was going to do tour de Mont Blanc a little over a month ago. Thank you for setting a realistic expectation for me. And congratulations.

It's a good feeling to finish it - right? What a trip...
I'm 79 days from the start of my TMB. I've enjoyed watching this series, thanks guys!
Stay tuned for a packing video on Sunday . Enjoy your trip!

Thanks so much! We'd started to plan a Patagonia trip a long time ago - would LOVE to go there!
You really captured the ladders. You were cheated to not have a nice day for the balcon sud. Love your show. Well done
Nice video 👍❤ very beautiful
Man, around that ladder section, it's just amazingly beautyful, your videos are always great, commenting and editing is perfect, thanks
Thank you for the kind words!

You'll be glad to miss the snow - I wish we had! The ladders were a bit scary - but really - nothing to worry about - you'll all do great...

Thanks so much for saying that - we appreciate it!

Make sure you stop by Rifugio Elisabetta and Bonatti
@@limiao8131 很幸運地有預約到這兩個住宿點
@@limiao8131 Thanks for your suggestion
I happen to stay in both of these refuges.
已平安順利完成TMB 謝謝你的影片
Well done sir!
Thank you!
😊👏 Thanks
Can I ask how you got from Geneva Airport to Chamonix? When and where do you book the transfer? Cheers
We used mountain dropoffs - www.mountaindropoffs.com
What kind of hiking shoes was everyone wearing?
We all wore altra lone peaks. They're pretty great...
Amazing achievement
Thanks for coming along!
