Hyundai I20N fast laps!

A second track day for my Hyundai I20N. This time with upgraded brake pads from CTC performance. These are Carbotech XP8 track and race pads.

The brakes are a useful improvement over standard. I bedded them in on the road and then drove around with them to see how they behaved in normal road conditions. Peak retardation is definitely better but they are a bit squeaky from cold. Also as temp gets into the pads the braking force increases.
On the track I experienced no pad fade and was able to do longer runs than with the standard pad ( 7-10 laps as opposed to 5) however the higher stopping power increased temps and so the brake fluid started to get hot and the pedal a bit spongy. So that's next on the list.
Overall a good upgrade.

The brake fluid is standard. I am debating whether to upgrade it.

I lightened 14 kilos by changing rims and tires, supplemented with steel brake hoses and had great results.
