100 percent not a factor. The key is balance. With more even combustion you can fine tune the engine far more than when it's imbalanced. Also, the EGTs are completely within your control when it's all balanced

I know this is 2 years old, but I was a huge doubter on the Dom mod. After I finally got talked into getting one by IIRs own Joshua, I bought it, had it installed (too busy with house repairs) and ya. I absolutely love it. Temps are down, knock is down, cyl 4 ruffness (or whatever that is called) is way down. Definitely worth every penny.

I will be picking one up for my build in the next few weeks. Like Dom stresses, it's all in the RnD. Random size fitting might fit the hole in #4cyl, however the amount of flow out of that cylinder is critical for the overall flow of coolant through the engine. To much flow and you cause other problems, CEL, hot/cool spots in the head/block. $90 is an insurance policy that makes sense vs $3k for a blown ring land... thanks for all your time and energy into this product Dom!

Not sure why any one would think 90 bucks is is a lot if money for a quality product. Plus it's a product that can save your engine. So money well spent. Go Dom for the time spent on fixing an issue we have with our cars. 👍👍🤘🤘

I'll be picking up one for each of my Subarus. People complain about the clamps because they don't understand they're single use, and they don't have the proper tools to deal with them when they try to reuse them. Thanks for explaining further in depth on the work you put into each product though!
After installing this mod, would the coolant flow rate or proper cooling to the Right head/rest of the cylinders be affected at all? That’s what I was trying to understand before Dominic, in regards to the measurements (1/2, 5/8) I was posting..
If you make your own yes. I spent months working and testing internal diameters to get good balance. The other head still gets more flow with this size, but it's improved for cylinder 4.
Hey Dom, i just installed my cyl 4 cooling mod and have a quick question. When Adding coolant conditioner, do it while the bypass hose is pinched or wait until i fully bleed the coolant system then add the conditioner?

Yes. Especially if it was never fully burped. I recommend pinching it off and giving it a few revs to help force any bubbles out of the heater core. It's much worse with the copy kits as they almost completely eliminate heater core flow.

No problem. I did change the design since this video. Now there is a worm clamp that goes in that location. I did it to make installation easier in the head. Turns out it can be hard to find a 1 inch crows foot. So please, don't forget to install that clamp!
Now combine this cooling mod with a good radiator and a mishimoto thermostat, yeah you may get P0128 CEL for coolant temp being too low for thermostat (ecu thinks you have stock thermostat) Right now I’m seeing coolant temps of 160-170 while cruising, now imagine what that’s doing for cylinder 4
@@GetaDomTune Guess I should have included it was cruising on the highway, 2500 rpm with outside air temp 68 degrees. Oops lol, she warms up more about 185 driving around town, get up to 200-210 while at a stoplight in the Florida sun

Read the Moss act and find a dealer that's tuner friendly. Hendrickson auto group is extremely tuner friendly, sales manager even gave me a tuner/engine builder's business card at the end of signing my paperwork.
@@boilermaker4740 I dont know where you are from but in the US Subaru powertrain warranty is 60k miles or 96,500 km. I want the car to last more than 96,500 km because after that its all on me no warranty is going to cover my engine, and if I can prevent wear and tear from mile number 1, thats a win. I did the getadomtune and added an aluminum radiator. I trust this to be a good upgrade to the cooling system, IAG performance does it on every build they do. Thanks Dominic!!

I made a video using an engine on a stand, so it would be easy to see the plug and hose. However, even though I stated that I used the engine on a stand only to get a better view, I still had people trying to cancel their orders because "I didn't know I had to pull the engine to install this". So I deleted the video

In the description on the website it states pre-08 WRX, STi and Legacy which use a shorter hose than the 08+. On the other hand, the instruction page shows it can be used for GR. Just want to make sure, does this product work for 08 STI? Also, can I email you so that you can send me the install video privately (i.e. I saw your comment that you had to remove the install video as some people misinterpreted it...)
You obviously didn't pay attention. The fitting isn't off the shelf, it's custom machined so that it will have the proper internal diameter. If you use an off the shelf fitting for the head, you will overcool the left head and the heater core will barely get any flow. Plus, he had to do the development work and that's amortized into the cost. It's clear you have no idea how businesses or products work.
I ended up getting the Torque Solutions C4CM as a Christmas present from a close friend of mine. I wish he would’ve bought yours but he said it’s the “same thing”. Idk. The torque solutions one has the following: - CNC'd 6061 Billet Aluminum Fittings - Black Anodized - Multi-Layer Silicone Hose - Stainless Steel Clamps - Limited Lifetime Warranty
I just ordered one of these and I've seen a few videos saying it takes 24 hours for it to cure. What does that mean and am I able so just fill my car with coolant and start it up and go once the part is installed??

Subaru MAKES this fitting not made out of cheap brass either. You can buy it for $3.81 so no I would never buy the kit. The model number is 21170AA020 you can do this for under 20$ 😂😂😂
My fitting is 6061 aluminum, anodized gold. The Subaru fitting is too large and makes your heater not work. Mine has a special inner diameter to balance cooling flow in the engine.

As long as you bleed the system correctly as the instructions say, you won't have issues
Would this fit on EJ253 heads? I don't know if it has this plug or not. I can't see it but maybe not looking in the right spot.

Also car does not need to be moving. It just needs a tad more RPM.

Is this applicable for NA ej25s? I have a ej253 in an 05 forester and always on the lookout for mods that will help with longevity.

99 percent are installed with the engine in the car. There are numerous install videos on UA-cam from other users as well.

No and there's no point. The FA20 has a perfectly designed cooling system. Completely symmetrical and balanced.
