A couple other of my Irish Angels lost their dads before their time as well : Mairead Carlin and Margaret Keys e.g. A few years back, the late,great George Donaldson passed at only 46 as well. What is it with all these fine Irish gentlemen leaving us too soon ? I would love to hear you sing Phil Coulter's wonderful song sometime: "The Old Man" You would be perfect for that. Keep it up sweet Daughter Of Erin.

I always miss your live concerts Emer- because of work. Oh my goodness I just wrote about my dad who passed in 2005 and then tears filled my eyes cause you shared and sang for your Dad ! And my Dad and I were very close and when I was a child like you I have a good memory for music. I remember being very young when I Dad asked me to write down the words to Piano Man and we are all big fans of Billy Joel. But then Emer my goodness you sand my Mother's favorite song for Dad after he passed by Josh Groban. Wow I freaked and if course "I feel pretty a classic of sisters in I since we grew up loving music and musicals a gift from both my parents we all could not live without music ! Thank you Emer for raising me and beautiful dedication to the parent and child bond 💞

Emer, I missed the program "live," but listened today (Sat, 2/6) to you alive with Life itself. Not only is the music well chosen, the very sequence of performance worked wonderfully with your personal stories of their significance. BTW - For the next revival of West Side Story, you make the perfect Maria - feeling pretty and sounding beautiful at the same time. "Goodnight My Angel" was doubly powerful. I lost my Mom 16 years ago and held her hand even as the warmth of life departed at the moment of death. The ordeal of loss is accompanied by the memories of their love and impact on our lives. You make your Dad proud. Indeed, the Lord of Glory who "raises us up" assures the redeemed that when "we are all gone the song will go on.." Heaven's melodies await. THANK YOU.
