See! There are technicians, there are mechanics, and then there are detectives. This was a well evaluated investigation. Too often I see part pullers who just swap expensive parts and yet problems don’t go away. Repair costs sky rocket and some people just sell the car. This was a little hose and presto! Proper job there chap!
I have exactly the same problem almost every 8 to 10 miles. I found turning off and on again gives me a chance to get home. I will replace my hose and let you know. Great help mat. Thanks
I have exactly the same problem and have fitted a new map sensor £277. which has made no difference. Will try a new hose next and let you know if this solves the problem.Great video by the way
Hi Matt, had a new suction control valve fitted , does it need to be relearned series 4 2015 warrior,, how do you do it if it does... as traction control , dpf flashes then abs then limp mode, just wondering if the valve has been put on wrong... does the plug face the engine or the battery ...I'm having a nightmare...hope you can help😊, thanks ahead
Hi mate, i owe a 2007 L200, i already spent alot on my pick up, just when I thought i got it in brilliant working order? It started loosing power, 1st and 2nd hear is absolutely useless, it take a while until picks up speed. Driving small hills? Again looses power, i always end up stopping and changing gears from 3d to the 1st,, not even 2nd gear pulls up hill, no smoke coming out of exhaust when driving, no warning lights just looses power,, i already had it in 2 different garages they don’t seem to find the fault.. any idea what can it be? Any advice or help it would help.. Thanks
Found your channel via this vid as I've an identical pickup (even the same colour) on an 06 which is putting out more black smoke than I'd like. Helpful to see this healthy one made 7 psi of boost just being revved at a standstill, mine only makes about 3 psi according to live data and I've found the wastegate actuator is seized solid so I wonder if it's stuck partially open. Given me some direction to proceed in at least so many thanks 👍
Hi Matt. Im in Fife as well and came across your vid. Very impressed, i also have a similar vehicle with 2 common annoying L200 issues 1. Abs light and traction control on 2. 4wd flashes when in 2wd How do i contact you to book my L200 in for you to work your magic? Regards Brian
Hi Matt .. Great Video I have exact problem with my 2009 Raging Bull too.... First time it happened couple of months ago I changed the MAP sensor out for a Cheap Amazon job and it worked ... Its just done it again so I assumed the cheap part failed ... switched out for one from Milners but the problem persists ... Is it likely to be the Vacuum hose ?? I guess its a cheap enough part just to check before I need an expert 🙂
@@mechanicmatt871 Hi Matt Changed out the Vacuum Hose as well as the sensor and still getting the issue ... I am no mechanic so was not sure what you meant by the Filter ? ... is there something I am missing here ?
@@mechanicmatt871 Phew ... thought I was thicker than normal then ..... one more question ... having made these replacements the warning lights are still coming on and power is still limping .... someone told me that it will keep doing that until I have the codes cleared on computer and the problem will persist ... is that right ?? or should it clear on its own if the fault is resolved ?
I have the same lights come on abs traction control and EML light. It's driving slightly low ok power like turbo is not coming on. Changed to map sensor and checked all vacuum lines still same fault

Great video 👍👍 wish we had a mechanic that's keen to solve problems with sensors where we are. They plug in and go when no codes pop up😂😂.

Your press/vac tool must have paid for itself many times over. Nice work picking out the relevant code Cheers Matt
Definitely, if I lost it or broke it, I'd buy it again. It's been very helpful. Thanks mate

I had the exact same problem.. My hose was just blocked . A quick clean cleared the codes and good as new ..
It's great when no parts are needed to put out all the lights on the dash. Thanks for watching.

Thanks Brendan thanks for watching.
Good find I wonder how many would have put a map sensor in it first lol 😂
It's not usually just a hose, guaranteed if it was my car I'd need a sensor. Thanks for watching and for your comment
What is u1101 timeout not equipped?
Hey mate have a l200 warrior, I’m properly being thick but when is the map sensor located?
It is on a bracket connected to the bulk head, you'll see a small hose attached to it. hope that helps

The map sensor filter and hose can both split

No mate, I was thinking the hose going from the intake manifold to the map sensor had a small inline filter. I must be thinking of something else.
