    I love my Henry’s. I got 9 of them!
I just purchased the .410 lever action just to find out that ammo companies do not make 2 1/2 inch non lead ammo. Very important info for people who live in CA.
So I just went ahead and added on and bought the 3” single Shot and threw in the 12 gauge single shot too.

Brings back memories! My first hunts were tramping through the woods with an H&R single shot. You almost never get a second shot at a squirrel so one at a time works fine.

My first shot at a squirrel was with a single shot, and I didn't have my sights adjusted properly and missed. Ran to pursue it into the tree (with a safe backstop of course), and realized I had to reload! Can't believe I got the second shot, but I had kebabs that night.

I bought #5 & #6 to try my hand at squirrel with my .410. What are you using? I don't have a Henry, but a Stevens break action with a red dot. I do have Henry in 45-70, a little too big for squirrel! 😁

I thought I’d watch this video this morning. I’m about to go squirrel hunting here in Tennessee with my new Henry lever 410 in just a few minutes. I like Henry’s, I have the classic 22 mag, a Frontier 22 and the 410, all good for small game. Thanks for the American made guns!

Love small game hunting especially with my Henry 410 also works great for rabbit's were I live in the woods. But the Henry's are my favorite firearms I hunt deer with the Henry 44mag great firearm as well as is all of there products I have five total and I am looking in to getting me the 45/70 next. You just can't go wrong with a Henry that's for sure when you love lever actions.

I love the 410 its really the perfect squirrel gun I just don't use it as much anymore because it's become the most expensive when it comes to typical 12 20 and 410 ammo due to lack of popularity
Also with #4buck it makes a really good home defense gun. Mosburg for years had that little defender pump out with a pistol grip stock.

I wish Henry would make the mini bolt in other calibers like 38 Special or 243 or 22 Hornet
Or offer 22 Hornet in their single shot line of rifles as well

I grew up on a farm, in Iowa. Took my first squirrel when I was six years old. I'll be turning 67 the 22nd of next month and I still look forward to the first Saturday in September (opening day for tree rats). All of my life, I've heard that people that used a shotgun, whether a .410 or 22 gauge, were slob hunters.
Do you really need anything beyond a .22 rim fire? Are you actually THAT bad of a shot? Henry makes great .22 rifles. All of my grandchildren have one (against the wishes of one of my daughters). They all love them and have harvested many tree rats with them.

I'm just a mite younger my friend (63 on 10/29), and I know what you mean, I love hunting everything, but hunting squirrels has always held a favorite place in my heart. Matter of fact, I went out this morning; I only got one, but saw a dozen I couldn't get shots at. Still an awesome morning. 👍🏼🤟🏻🤠😎🤘🏼✌🏼☕🇺🇸

@@christophermehlenbacher4613 Hi, Christopher Mehlenbacher. Oftentimes, I'm asked my favorite game meat. Number one is quail and number two is squirrel. And, yes I do use a fowling piece for upland game birds. I didn't make it out, today. But, I did make it out opening day, and thanks to a Henry .22 lever action (accurate little boogers, ain't they?) I came home with six tree rats. Love this season. Today's low was 41F and the high, around 58. Sunny and calm. I'm up 'n out tomorrow. Hope to have as much luck as you did today. Nothin' wrong with a onezie. It's the skunk days that take a little ... JUST a little, mind you, of the fun away.
You would be surprised how many people won't even try squirrel and, as many of us say ... GREAT. More for me.

Even using a .22, I've still had to pick out buckshot where someone tried to kill a squirrel with a shot gun that was a little out of range. Not very sportsman like when a hunter can't make sure of a clean kill.

As weird as it is to say, normal rats are fine to eat as well, same as pigeons. The difference is that those that live in more rural areas not only have cleaner diets, but are cleaner overall.
If ppl are willing to pay top dollar for Spanish ham that fed on acorns their whole life imagine what squirrels taste like.
