Great harvesting, I own a Henry bigboy 44 mag, brass, had to change out the factory sights couldn't hit nuttin with those sights, kept shooting way high, I put a set of brass skinner sights on now ,dang it turned out sweet ,I'm gonna take my henry deer hunting, lol, congrats again, hopefully, I'll harvest a deer this year. Shakyjake out.
I have a remlin 44 magnum 1894! The rifle is perfect, feeds any ammo, loves 240 grain hard cast semi wad cutters! Feeds them like butter! The wood is very good and is fitted perfect! By the way it is a 1894 cowboy produced in 2015 have had other marlin 44mag, 4570 , 22 lr and a 357. Made by marlin! This remlin will stand on its own beside any rifle produced by the old marlin company!
I'm saving up to buy my first henry which will be a side gate all weather .44 magnum. I live in the mostly flat farmland of central Texas so my .44 will be absolutely ideal for dealing with hogs (which are a major nuisance around here) and maybe some coyotes.
Love my .357 Henry Big Boy Steel. It doesn't have a side gate either & that's perfectly fine for hunting , where reloading isn't a very common thing ( unless you are a very bad shot ).It's a lot faster to unload after a hunt with the tube mag as opposed to cycling every round , & doesn't scratch & damage cartridges while loading/unloading.That said I would still like a side gate Henry , but would always load/unload using the tube with hunting ammo.
Would love to see the Henry X or All weather in a 350 Legend or 450 Bushmaster for those of us in Michigan who are restricted to straight wall cartridges between 1.16 - 1.8 "
Savage Sooner sorry to bust your bubble but the last 7 out of 8 Henry’s I’ve bought had to go back to the factory. I’m waiting on a check now for a side loader that had to go back twice. My new marlin is the best gun I’ve bought in a long time.
The only bad thing about the 1894 in 44 mag is it bruises my arm, shoulder and evil my neck black blue and green, I am sure due to heart attack triple bypass and now live on blood thinner! Thinking of a recoil pad, any ideas!
Not sure about some of the negative comments on the Henry. I have had Marlins and Henry's, and found my Henry 44 Mag to be veriy accurate and reliable. The quality of build is outstanding. Rate of twist is much better in the Henry 1:20 vs 1:38 for the Marlin. Not hitting on the Marlin, as they are fine guns, but I chose the Henry and am glad I did. Super smooth action. I am not in any waiy affiliated with Henry, but I challenge you to find a company with better customer service... made in the USA.
Do you think a 44 mag with 24" is a good option for hunting 16 kg deer at a maximum 100 yads? The only option I have is something between .22lr, 17hmr, 38 spl, 357, 44 and 44mag - Once I was on the field I spot some deer up to 50 yads but never more than 100 yads. What is is the best option?
Good Show! Good Shot! Good deer! Praise the Lord for baby girl! All of my daughters have hunted with me. All but one harvested multiple deer. Mostly with 44 mag. Rifle. When Henry releases the All Weather side load in 44mag I am getting it. Dozens of deer harvest with 44mag in our home. Mostly rifle but I have used handguns in past.
Hmm. Well, can’t say I’m not a little bit disappointed in the performance of the cartridge (or the particular ammo you selected). Smacked her in the chest with a .44 mag at only 60 feet and she ran off. Guess I was expecting her to drop in place. Maybe my expectations were unrealistic.
Hunting deer from a practical perspective doesn’t make sense. The taste of the meat is nothing special and the time and resources involved relative to just going to Walmart for a pound of hamburger is also illogical
I'm an avid deer Hunter but I can't stand watching videos where grown men are giggling and excited about shooting a deer from 20 yards with a rifle. That like it's amazing but every deer hunter in the world can do that and has done that. Watching people shoot does with a bow is not near as bad but still not impressive
I respect you harvesting that injured doe. Always take the cull ones first.
Beautiful family and great doe.
Can’t wait ‘til Texas rifle season! Been using a Henry 30-30 for years.
I just got one. Was scope would you recommend for deer hunting

Nice shot, you’ll have many a good meal there. Thanks for sharing your hunt, be well, and God bless you and your family.

Love my Henry 44 mag best rifle ever and I have two safes full six Henry's so far. Got my eye on another already
U need to share
Sorry I may have missed this but .. what ammo was used for this hunt? Hollow point or soft point? Grain weight?
Great all around values.
I love the original tube loading Henry rifle.
I have the 45-70 tube loader and I love it. Wouldn’t trade it for a side gate.
Great take. Nice rifle. The All Weather versions are my favorite.
Beautiful Family God Bless
This dude has the best rifles from Henry,,,, i want to work for henry, any position hahahaha

Great deer. Those old does can be pretty chewy. Beautiful family.
I'm a doe hunter... Good food for old folks. 🦌
Got an injury to her front leg, yeah a 44mag will do that. lol.
Congrats on the deer and the new baby
Once I buy the 4570 octagon barbell brass reciever i will do a review, already know it's going to be excellent t

Ah, 44 magnum is a straight wall cartridge
You are correct…..but I would like it in 350 legend…hence my comment. Don’t read too much into it. But now we have the 360 Buckhammer.
Awesome video, were you able to figure out what injury she had to her front shoulder.
Hey Henry ... I've been begging for an All Weather in 22LR for a long time! The suspense is killing me! Make it happen already!
Yes it would match my other all weather Henry perfect.
That would be neet
Did they ever make one?
@@ghilliemanreviews no
@@tacocin that’s a shame.
Reese: Can't wait for my Henry Youth Model!!!
Nice video ... BUT I wish Henry would bring back the less costly ROUND barrel .22lr pump ! :-)
Nicely ✅ done.🇨🇦
Henry! Where’s that side loading 44 at? I’m patiently waiting to give you my hard earned money as opposed to another junk marlin.
The marlins I’ve seen lately aren’t junk. Just got a 336c and it’s slick and as good as or better than any marlins I’ve ever owned.
John Smith
They’re trash! Get yourself a Henry!!

@@oreopuppydawg1564 What problems were you having? What model Henry?
I watched your sight in video, which ammo did you decide to hunt with ?

What load were you using.
what kind of bullets did you use ?
Nicely done 👍. Looked like the 44 mag did put a big hole in that doe. Did you use a hollow point bullet? Those seems to do the job well.
How much did the doe weigh?
Nice rifle!
I will be using the single shot 308 this season
That’s the rifle I’m wanting
@@shannonhondo260 its awesome. really fun to hunt with
Cody what optic are you using and dimension on your Henry
What size grain bullet are shooting
Congrats!
What ammo were you using and what ammo butt cuff is on that rifle?
I just got the 45 Colt lever 👍

I saw the at 3.25 and it does not even look like it near the front shoulder that was a spine shot.
One shot one kill!
would like to see what that rifle can do a little farther than 20 yds.
What rounds where you using

Grow up. Who cares what he shoots his deer with or from how far. He needed meat for his freezer and he got it. End of story.
Avid deer hunter? Sounds like avid bitcher to me
