Korean cuisine is celebrated for its variety, with each restaurant often putting its own twist on traditional dishes. This means there’s no single “correct” way to enjoy Korean food. Korean BBQ, for instance, is generally divided into two main types: pork and beef. When it comes to pork, it’s usually eaten in the “ssam” style-where you take a piece of grilled meat, wrap it in a lettuce leaf along with some kimchi, vegetables, and a bit of ssamjang (a savory dipping sauce), and eat it all in one bite. Beef, on the other hand, can also be enjoyed in a “ssam,” but it's just as commonly eaten with a light sprinkle of salt, a touch of wasabi, or a bit of ssamjang. Many restaurants also offer their own unique sauces to pair with the beef, often served with fresh vegetables on the side. Experimenting with these different combinations is part of what makes dining out in Korea so enjoyable!
If you ever get the chance, you’ve got to try samgyeopsal (Korean pork belly). It’s incredibly delicious when you wrap it in a lettuce leaf with some kimchi, vegetable side dishes, and ssamjang. This kind of “ssam” is honestly one of the best ways to enjoy Korean BBQ

Hanwoo is the highest quality beef in Korea. It is NOT exported. I wish I could buy it in Canada. In general the meat is only cooked for you if it is very high quality. Kobe is very rich, fattier, and costs about 4 times the price. That was likely hanwoo fat that they used to grease the grill. Koreans use every part of the animal. Seasoning: For many soups salt is not added because a lot of banchan like kimchi has sodium. Also sometimes the soup/ stew ingredients have sodium in them. The soy sauce you had also had sodium. Luke was very liberal with his salt use - you only need a little, but to each their own. Lol.
Correct, Hanwoo is not exported due to shortage of supply. I wish it was exported as an alternative to wagyu and Kobe which is very fatty. You can eat too much and it's way over priced IMHO.

I consider myself a beef snob, sore and I can say where best steaks I've ever had in my life and where. When I was a kid I was no more than like 7 years old I went to Pennsylvania and one of the young Bulls broke its leg and I had to put it down. That's just the way it is on the Farm in Pennsylvania. There was no malice it's just what needed to be done but it was the best steak I have ever had. Fully cooked it cut with a fork🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 second time was Howe's Market San Fernando Valley. Oooh that sounds incredible Chris! Thanks for sharing, we hope to make a series travelling across the USA eventually! That would be interesting. Thanks for commenting 👍🤤
I sent you a list of some Korean dishes to try. Did you see it? Jeju Black Pork was on the list. There is a video on EATER channel about how the pork is made from farm to butchery. The quality of everything from the feed to how the pigs are treated to the use of every ounce of the animal is beyond impressive. I am guessing the process of Hanwoo production is similar. Korean food standard is high. My friend had Hanwoo in a Seoul restaurant that cooked it on cast iron and with hay. He has had Japanese Wagyu and said Hanwoo could compete with it. Honestly for the quality Hanwoo is a good deal. If you love it that much I would have it again. The green vegetable looked like shishito peppers. TIPPING: You don't need to tip. Maybe just say "mas-iss-eoyo" (it's delicious in Korean), thank them and bow when you leave.

Thank you 🙏 ❤️
The waiter said they allow minimum 2 orders per each menu since you guys are 2 people. That is why she said 2 and 2 and 4. (2+2=4) It is quite normal in Korea.
that meal looks like one of the best I have seen...I am a beef lover but I bet I have never tasted anything like the beef you had First time I have never seen people making love with their food..💌💑
Really great food 👍❤️
Tipping in Korean restaurant is not rude... just you do not need it ..Korean does not feel they need get tip when they serve the food to others...

wasabi is for fatty cuts as it cuts the grease.
I hope you guys try different types of Korean bbq including pork, entrails, eel, and seafood (usually mostly different types of shellfish).
快來Taiwan吧

I am your next step is not Russia, but Japan!!! prove me wrong!
It is neither of these places haha 😜 but we want to visit Russia in 2025 👍
24:47 It’s capsicum annuum. It’s not that spicy compared to Korean chilli species. In Korean, it’s called ‘
❤❤❤❤from China!
😊😊😊😊😊😊
It’s a bean paste stew
If the West has cheese, Korea has soybean paste stew made by fermenting soybeans. It is a very healthy food.
You must have traveled to China before because there are a lot of Chinese comments on your Korean videos.
Please praise China as the best in the world so that the Chinese don't get angry.
good advice👍
😂😂😂😂 so true. I don't get why China gets so angry and butt-hurt. I mean, everyone gets it but still 😂😂 so childish. No wonder why the whole world doesn't like China.

The steak fully cooked cut with a fork🎉 the next time. At a ski resort at the top of the mountain. In Albuquerque New Mexico they had a Smokehouse. They cut steaks out of that Smokehouse that were fully cooked and pink.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 smoking magic goodness🎉 I've had a few of come close but nothing compared to those three steaks. Another great video enjoy the great food thanks again🎉
I recommend a place called Jinsa Galbi to you. it is a place where many common people in korea go, and it is cheap, delicious, and clean. you should go there.......
by 청구역?
👍❤️👍❤️👍
That's Korean macaroni.
