I was 16 that day, it happened on June 17th, 1994. The summer between my junior and senior year of high school. As the chase unfolded my Mom suggested we order a pizza, so we sat and watched the OJ chase and had pizza that night. Definitely one of those "do you remember where you were" moments in life if you're old enough to have been there when it happened. 405 congestion was just as bad in 1994 as it is today. They had closed off the entrance ramps ahead of the chase as it was happening so the freeway was empty, except for the growing crowds who lined it and were above it on the overpasses with signs and cheering him on. The original Naked Gun is one of my all-time favorite movies. It came out in 1988 and my Dad took me to see it. I was 11 and right around the time I started to understand adult humor. Not only was he literally swimming in evidence (that Mark Furman and the LAPD totally fuk'd up) but there was not another possible suspect who'd ever want to do that to Ron and Nicole. The Goldmans and the Browns to this day have suffered tremendously without justice being done. So Unfair and it still burns me up to this day.
The kardasian's fame and fortune exists becasue of this tragedy and it makes me even more angry. Because of the corrupt and racist LAPD, they were so stupid and unlawful, they become responsible for one of the worst cases of missed justice this country had ever seen. Would've been hilarious if you looked back into the back seat and said "Ready OJ?" Ha..that was an awesome episode. The Daddy Doug appearance was completely unexpected.
I was 9 years old at the time of the "Big Event" as your Grandfather put it, lol. He was acquitted but the LAPD flubbed the investigation so badly we'll never know with absolute certainty who did it, though I think it's likely he did it. One theory I find interesting is that his son did it and OJ messed up evidence to protect him.
More like their was all the evidence in the world to convict, however the defense tried to convince the jury that if detective Mark Furhman was a taco supreme asist then they shouldnt trust any evidence and not convict. It worked.
I find it such a disgusting American thing to do all those true-crime documentaries and shows giving those murdering aholes all this exposure (and eventually generating lots of cash from them). Instead those maniacs should be locked up forever and not remembered by anyone, the people involved and those who lived through the period will know them anyway and that's enough "celebritism" in my opinion!
I had a 89 with a manual transmission and it was a tank ,,, one winter while the plow trucks were off getting stuck in my neighborhood I was out in 2wd because I had no idea how to lock the hubs , didn't even know that was a thing , so I thought I was in 4wd but only in 2wd and thinking wow this bronco gets around flawlessly in 2 feet of snow like a tank , ... years later I find out about the locking hubs and I was blown away to think back on how great that bronco truly was
I had a '81 white Bronco. Straight 6 engine and 4 speed manual. Keep the stock size 15" tires...handles great and goes anywhere. I learned to drift in that truck back in 1989.! ❤️
Everyone trolling Hoovie’s “weekly towing test” 🤣😂 things like this is why you gotta love Hoovie. Not only cool, very unique vehicle choices but extremely informative as well. The entire episode isn’t all about the vehicle and gotta love when he gets a car with a story and tells it over the course of a 15-20 min video. Doug has his crowd as well but become very boring rather quickly. And both are not like every other UA-cam channel that follows the “buy a tuner classic or super/exotic car then mod it” recipe. DDE is getting to the point that the same recipe is just boring. It’s sweet to see someone buy regular cars and fix em up properly.
OJ Simpson was at one time considered to play the Terminator in the movie by the same name, but he wasn't cast because the producers thought that he was too nice to play a killer believeably.
Hoovie! I saw you on I-5 southbound on your trip to San Diego. At first, I noticed the old Bronco and appreciated the vehicle, and then I saw the Kansas plates...which made me think that this could be Hoovie. Wow, what’s next? Going to get Dahmer’s car?
Would've been hilarious if you looked back into the back seat and said "Ready OJ?"
Ha..that was an awesome episode. The Daddy Doug appearance was completely unexpected.
it was totally expected, he mentioned going to San Diego to visit an old friend like 5 times.
@@OnyxCobra Thanks Captain Obvious.
We all know who did it.......
@@jimk59
Yeah it was Glenn Rogers.
More like their was all the evidence in the world to convict, however the defense tried to convince the jury that if detective Mark Furhman was a taco supreme asist then they shouldnt trust any evidence and not convict. It worked.
I did it guys. I'm so sorry.
Furman was a screw up
I find it such a disgusting American thing to do all those true-crime documentaries and shows giving those murdering aholes all this exposure (and eventually generating lots of cash from them). Instead those maniacs should be locked up forever and not remembered by anyone, the people involved and those who lived through the period will know them anyway and that's enough "celebritism" in my opinion!
I had a 89 with a manual transmission and it was a tank ,,, one winter while the plow trucks were off getting stuck in my neighborhood I was out in 2wd because I had no idea how to lock the hubs , didn't even know that was a thing , so I thought I was in 4wd but only in 2wd and thinking wow this bronco gets around flawlessly in 2 feet of snow like a tank , ... years later I find out about the locking hubs and I was blown away to think back on how great that bronco truly was
Needs some of those bloody handprint decals all around it
Excuse my language, but I FUCKING LOVE IT!
Tasteless
I don’t agree with what you have done there mate! In poor taste.
"(The tailgate) is a good place to take off your gloves and clean your bloody knife..." 🤣
Oh...Hoovster. You're gonna get mail.
I knew you were going to visit daddy Doug!!! So coooool!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Doug!!!
Parking a white bronco outside the house where it happened is creppy as hell. Hope the current residents didn't see that outside.
There aren't any residents it been knocked down
@@RagdollRacingInc I said 'where it happened', which was Nicole Browns home.
He's around the corner on less trafficked Dorothy St. in front of some ugly stucco building.
Oh no, no. I'm sorry but this is tasteless and tacky. It really is.
(I’m not normally one to care) but this is in really poor taste Hoovie…
Bad taste telling the details on how the woman was murdered
OJ Simpson was at one time considered to play the Terminator in the movie by the same name, but he wasn't cast because the producers thought that he was too nice to play a killer believeably.
yeah after bombs CAPRICORN ONE and the Police Squad series well you decide
Hoovie! I saw you on I-5 southbound on your trip to San Diego. At first, I noticed the old Bronco and appreciated the vehicle, and then I saw the Kansas plates...which made me think that this could be Hoovie. When I pulled alongside you and glanced over, I was happy to see it was you. I honked, gave you a thumbs up, and continued on. Thanks for all your automotive stories!
Amazing how that 1 guy got all this publicity but 1 of the longest reigning leaders death was glossed over relatively quickly
My Granpa John lived in Oregon, he drove cross country in his 1990's Bronco to visit us in Pennsylvania one time 🙂 may God bless him. He was my favorite.
every bronco made is 4wd fyi, tailgate trim you can snag from every f150 of that gen!
Hoovie, you did a great job of showcasing the Broncos quirks and features.
I literally just LOL'D like a crazy person when I saw who the Al Cowlings replacement driver was at the end! 😆
Tyler's grandfather seems so wholesome
I knew it! I knew you weren't going to go to OC and not reunite with Daddy Doug! Love it!
