Need for Speed Unbound (stylised as NFS Unbound) is a 2022 racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the twenty-fifth instalment in the Need for Speed series, the first for Criterion since 2013's Rivals with Ghost Games and the first as the main developer since 2012's Most Wanted.
Unbound was revealed by Electronic Arts on October 6, 2022. The game features an art style that merges artistic elements like cel-shading and graffiti art with the more realistic art style of other Need for Speed games.[2][3] The map is based in a fictional city inspired by Chicago called Lakeshore City.[4] The game was released worldwide on December 2, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Need for Speed Heat (stylised as NFS Heat) is a 2019 racing video game developed by Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the twenty-fourth instalment in the Need for Speed series and commemorates the series' 25th anniversary. The game received mixed reviews from critics, who mostly found the game to be an improvement over the 2015 Need for Speed reboot and Payback but not enough to be a full return to form for the franchise.
Heat was Ghost Games' final game both for the Need for Speed franchise and as a lead developer. In February 2020, EA shifted development of the franchise back to Criterion Games-the developers of the Burnout series, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) and Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)-and reduced Ghost Games to an engineering studio for the Frostbite engine, reverting their name back to EA Gothenburg. The game is succeeded by Need for Speed Unbound, which released in December 2022.

What do you even mean dynamic hud that switches perspective I dont understand all I really remember is that your camera would kinda fly back when you accelerated which was pretty cool
1. Im saddened that some customization was removed (due to brand licensing)
2. I expected unbound to have newer customization to certain existing cars that where in heat
Overall I still like unbound but if this flops then when they make a newer nfs game they add back the realistic flames from heat and add brand new brands of wheels and a selection to customize fitment
Unbound HAS newer customisation for cars from past games, not all tho. Can't remember specific ones.
Also, Heat flames weren't realistic at all(ofc Unbound flames aren't). It was extremely exaggerated, and present in all cars, even a 100hp Volvo. It didn't make any sense

@@JINX-RSA Objectively speaking, heat's soundtrack it's and absolute piece of garbage. Now you may like it, in the end music is like colors mostly a matter of opinion, but that music genre it's just terrible and just calling it "Music" is a disgrace to actual music. Other than that, I like most of Heat, really fun game despite all the mixed reviews online.

I likes Heats Reputation points whenever you confront the cops and do activities to earn and it’s racing event to win a tuning part ,why is it not in Unbound, it would make it better
I might have to buy NFS Unbound it looks like it’s pretty fun, I have NFS Heat and I like a lot. I just wish they made it a little bit like Midnight Club.

NFS Heat looks good if you don't look at little details but character detail is also better on nfs heat the anime thing in nfs unbound aint it.

Heat shows just how in gaming in general how cutting corners and downgrading for very much simplified coding process is the normal across the board, basically since 2020.

Just noticed today in unbound that the brake pads heats up when you're breaking after doing like 195 through a speed trap

The problem is heat is 30fps and with lower resolution on the ps4 and pro version and there is not native version for the ps5 so that’s why heat look like sht on the ps5 but unbound with 4K 60fps HDR

although the unbound looks much better than heat without 3rd party tools the reflections are still bad. they definetly shoud add a better SSR on the car or even raytracing reflections, at least for photo mode
they still use the frostbite engine, which is quite old now. thats why reflections look bad

Unbound is better in every way. From graphics and customization to handling. Whats even more amazing is that they made this in such little time.

I'm gonna be honest. NFS heat looks overall graphically superior. The only things unbound does better with is texture quality, and the resolution of reflections.
You can especially see how much better Heat looks at night.
But let's not forget how truly graphically superior NFS 2015 was.

If you Divided the fan base of a franchise you have done something wrong. Even so why Is MW still the best Need for speed almost how many yrs later. Heat and Unbound need to be step up! You would think by now the city would feel alive. PvP cop and Arivel. Different game modes like cat and mouse ect. It's not just the game but who's making it. It's called *Talent) and it lacks in days titles.

I can easily buy unbound especially the amount of time it has went on sale, but i still won't it doesn't even deserve sale price. Previously paid full price for Heat on launch date not a single regret worth every single penny. Unbound not so much.
Undercarriage shadows are terrible in Heat. Makes cars look like they're photoshopped in, and always look out of place. 2015, Payback and Unbound did shadows better.

All that's cool but when are they gonna fix the police spawn rate and despawning bugs after chasing in intense mode?
It's so annoying that I escape a heat 5 chase only to end up in another because either the meetup is guarded by like 5 cops or the police from the previous chase are stuck in their positions in front of the meetup.
I literally make all my cash from cop chases, which I doubt was the intention of the game.
