You are missing an important information in the Video at around 1:58: DO NOT fix the spring attachments in the area of the motor unless there is enough room for the screws between tube and motor (And even than you should do it with the motor installed as you will need to remove the drill resedue from inside so it doesn't damage the motor).
Not nice to drill into the motor ;-)
Therefore measure before where it ends and fix the springs besides or use clip on spring attachments or push on Anti-push up devices.
