So what about installing them before adding the siding to a house that way when ever you do add the house siding they will be built in can you show us hot to install it that way bc I plan to do something like that
Thank you for your question, that sounds like an in-wall or in-soffit installation. It can definitely be done, but it would be a bit more complicated. We are working on making new videos for situations like this, but for now, please email us at sales@rollac.com and we can work to find you resources for your installation.
I have these shutters, when I open with the remote it stops halfway and when i close it overshoots, the motor doesn’t stop even after it’s all the way down. How can i fix it?
But if you truly want to go in can't you just unscrew the whole thing s you screwed it to the wall in the first place to get to the door? I'd prefer the shutters be behind a double wall
I have these shutters, they are manual and I’m having issues with a few of them not rolling down. The universal free spins. What do you think? Trying to do on my own to save $$. Thanks for your help

The pricing of Rolling Shutters can vary greatly depending on what operator your choose, your slat type, and any extra security measures you may wish for. As for where to get a rolling shutter there are many dealers across the United States that we can help with locating if desired. If you are in the greater Houston area we can serve you directly. For more direct information, please call in at 281-485-1911
The shutters are indeed water proof so long as water does not find its way in. The most concerning place for water to reach is of course the motor, to mitigate the risk of electrical failure we use a j position on the motor wiring so that any water that does get in drips away from the components. We also apply silicone caulk to the wiring entry points for a sealed finish. Feel free to visit us at www.rollac.com for more information or call in at 281-485-1911.
+Linda Mayer Please contact us at sales@rollac.com for assistance on your shutters. We can send out a repair person if you are in the Houston area, or help you find a company if you are out of state. Thank You!
Chances are the Slat hangers are broken.. They attach the roller tube to the shutters. They can be seen at 6:28 in this video. They look like upside-down T's... Hope this helps
It's for weather and shade, we have similar in European countries. Very commonplace in Spain, usually not with a motor but a belt under spring tension (coil spring) you pull up or down on. You can pish up or pull down on the shutters themselves with some effort.
Very nice! This is what they use on pricey homes in the Riviera Nice, France due to burglaries. Complete burglary deterrent! Now is there any place I could buy some tambour doors for my RV cabinet restore cheaply? No one makes them so small, and if I can buy some material wholesale, I could create rolling shutter type doors for my RV and home cabinets.
These rolling "persianas" should be on the inside, not the outside. The inside type are ALL over South America. I wish they had people installed them in the USA. They actually are installed while the house is being constructed so you don't have that ugly, clunky box. The clunky box is INSIDE the wall so your eyes aren't assaulted by the ugliness.
Hello Jane! We agree that installations where the shutter box can be hidden are ideal. We work primarily with existing structures. This video serves to educate viewers on that style of application. We have on occasion worked with construction companies and architects as they build. If an end user would like we are also willing to work with them and their preferred contractor. Together we can see if completely integrated rolling shutters are an option.
You could create a soffit, which would hide the big, ugly box. Alternatively, install your curtain rod as high or higher than the box, which could mainly conceal it. Or even simpler, a box pelmet, if you don't have curtains.

Hello! Are you referencing the box angle at the bottom of the slats near the ground?
But if you truly want to go in can't you just unscrew the whole thing s you screwed it to the wall in the first place to get to the door? I'd prefer the shutters be behind a double wall

I thought exactly same. Why screws are not under the shutter? Is this curtain for severe weather conditions?
