Great to see you having a break from the bike and happy time in amazing scenery. All in all good for the soul and the heart. I hope that your recovery is progressing well. ATB.
Went to Iceland with my girlfriend five years ago, and decided to go on a road trip along the ring road in a campervan almost exactly the same model as this one. Still the best vacation of my life (so far). Seeing this makes me incredibly nostalgic!
I was not prepared for the change up in the intro portion. Thank you for sharing your adventure in Iceland and all its beauty. I wasn't sure about the non-cycling material, but I'm sold; please do more videos like this. I really enjoyed the music overlay with the video, and the montages too. Hope you are recovering well.
Awwww you girls are so cute; what a lovely adventure. I think that this was meant to happen Maddy. You did a great edit on this; the music was perfect. One my affirmations is "I relax and surrender to the flow of life", and this made me think of that immediately. #Iceland I see a new tourism ambassador! Hugs and love to you both.
Saw a shot in your Rift video that made me realize you were camping just across the road from me at Hellishóllar. Turns out, across the road and a few spaces down: my tent is behind your head @8:48 🙂 Glad you had a good trip despite not being able to race.
That looked like about as much fun as you could have without a bicycle, well done the pair of you. Camper van travel is remarkably liberating, and it looked like you were making the most of it too - good to see you driving :) Funny, I never thought of Iceland as having good food, thought it would be all kippers and moss, but my eyes are open now. Quite enjoyed the scenery, must be amazing close up; the black beach and the weather are like the inverse of Cottesloe, I guess, and there are volcanoes! I hope you are recovering well and not battling too hard with the enforced quiescence, being patient and mindful and not too much of cow to those around you.
This reminds me that I’ve always wanted to bike tour Iceland. It looks like proper rain gear is a must. Though it seems like when I rains it’s a good excuse to find a hot spring. Hopefully, I don’t anger the little people and have them play tricks on me.
Oh I totally thought it was you guy camping accross from us. Should have popped over to say hi. Sorry you couldnt race madz. Iceland is totally rad isnt it? Love you content by the way
@@thedoginside yes!! We actually packed most of the food from home which is the main cost. Flights were affordable. And if you bike packed and stayed at campsites and made your own food. Totally doable on a budget. Food out and in supermarkets can be pricey, but I would say one can do this without spending ludicrously!
Vanning, walking, eating, lagooning... what's not to like? A great adventure.

It’s such a special trip and country for sure! Without a doubt the best way to see it is by camper too!
A new adventure, great company and memories for a lifetime! Who can ask for anything more? 😊

If it were winter, could you ride across the ice to Greenland, and then to Canada?
Wow, it's looks mint there. Silly question, but is it possible to go there & ride on a budget?
