I just installed the Vega Pro from 729. What a huge difference ! It’s more bouncy, spinning and easy control ! Loving it. Now considering to change out my H3 for another Xiom Vega Pro
Thanks for the great explanation. Must say I do miss the fantastic, however sadly discontinued, Vega Def. Haven't found an alternative for that one yet. Now playing with the equaly hard sponged but much faster Victas Triple Double Extra on FH
I’m new in the sport, I’ve been playing for more than one year and a half, I play 3 or 4 times per week (2h per season, mostly training season, I still need to improve my technic). I’m using Butterfly Dimitri Ovtcharov innerforce with Battle II Provincial orange sponge (39) unboosted and Joola Ryhzen 43 in the BH. I’m looking for a rubber that not need to be boosted to be good for my FH and a replace for the BH one since is discontinued. What would you recommend me? Thanks for your time and congratulations on the video.
Yes please, and perhaps also the Omega V range (although i think the Vega, Omega V and Omega VII naming is similar: Europe is soft and spinny, Asia is just fast, Pro is a good all-rounder, Tour is extremely fast and hard, China is a tacky/hybrid rubber, and then there are a few more). I believe from Vega to V to VII they all just get faster and more expensive. Correct me if I'm wrong
Hi Steve, I'm old school j-pen player. Since I use a single rubber with a Hinoki blade, which of the Vega series you would recommend as a nice all around rubber? Thanks for the great video.
Wanted to buy vega asia but my local supplier had none, so i landed a vega japan Indeed a strange rubber, heavy and slow -ish, doesnt do the new plastic ball any justice
Vega Europe, Vega Asia, Vega Korea, Japan, China... In the future, Xiom will launch new rubbers with names from America, Oceania, Sweden, Taiwan, Germany, etc. So I hope.
@@CustomTableTennis M3 Steve. I haven’t now played for 5 years properly and heading into Vetts. I’d say more control on the backhand and faster on forehand. I like a softer feel as well. Im probably better known for placement and feeling that out and out speed with my shots so I’m very much happy to be guided on what to try while starting back :)
The M3 is quite soft at 40 ° so if you’re looking for more control you could try Euro DF for the backhand which is 37.5 ° and maybe Asia DF for the forehand which is 42.5 ° if you want more speed. You could potentially try the Korea for forehand as well which is 45 °. Feel free to give us a call or drop us an email as well.
@@CustomTableTennis Steve I'm very curious, what is the main difference from Vega Asia DF and Vega Europe? because they are both 42.5 sponge hardness... also are both "easier" in the same way?
Can’t even compare with quality of the dignics or tenergy after 1 month with all the xiom that I had ball slipping, and with the butterfly ones some last more then year , but hey don’t forget that the butterfly rubbers cost double the price very expensive not everyone can afford but quality top notch

Absolutely amazing explanation. One of my favourite table tennis videos
Agree 100% about the Korea rubber!!! Wow!! Have tried it briefly and its a belter!!!

As a korean, respect calling the rubbers “x-siom”
Rather than “xy-om”
Vega Europe and Vega X probably are the best for durability, performance and price.
What are your thoughts on the Xiom Vega China?
We will be looking at that one soon in a separate video about Sticky Hybrid Rubbers 👍🏻

Can you do the same for the omega vii series?

Could you do one of these for the OMEGA series. Xiom has a lot of Omega series rubbers as well and they have hidden gems like the China Guang.
It's on the way soon, hopefully Friday. We will be looking at the Omega VII range.
@@CustomTableTennis Thank you very much!

You didn't consider the original Vega Asia (47,5°) i'm currently using, that is in my opinion the harder version of Vega Europe, why?
Which rubber is similar to Donic Acuda S2 ?
We think the closest would be Asia DF
@@CustomTableTennis Thanks. Might try it.

very well explained Steve thank you very much.
Always used Donic blue fire thickest rubber. Looking to change to Vega. What would you suggest?
Which Donic Bluefire do you use as they all have different sponge densities? Also are you looking for more speed or more control?

Vega Pro H?
It hasn’t been released in the UK yet but we will be hopefully getting it in the Summer.
vega china ❤
Vega lasts longer than Tenergy. Jajajajajaja. I left the video there.
