I have a question, don't ㄱ,ㄷ, ㅂ,ㅈ also have sound changes if they are in the beginning of a word? I remember seeing somewhere that when ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ and ㅈ are also in the beginning of a word sound more like k, t, p, ch instead of g, d, b, j respectfully

Friend, i have a question when korean people call someone's name then they put 'ah' or 'ya' right i can understand that but i heard some korean people call someone's name then they put 'shi' right? The question is why they put shi what is the meaning of shi can you please make it clear for me?

How I have understood is that mostly batchim is almost silent when pronouncing, like you make a break right in the start of the letter, is that correct?

I’m using a Korean app to try to learn language. But it has confused me now. For instance, 가구 according to the app it says it’s pronounced kagu not gagu. But according to you it should be pronounced gagu. According to this app it says that ㄱ is pronounced as a k if it’s at the beginning of a word or phrase. But you’re saying it doesn’t change unless it’s in the position of the batching. I’m so confused, which is it? Please help!
