      You can not tell who's healthy or not just by looking at them. Look at the studies that this virus throws up, look at BMI, smokers and everything else. BMI plays a huge part in this, how do you know you're healthy? You might feel like you are but you can not be 100% sure that you are.

Extremely effective at destroying viruses and bacteria including your micro gut biome ....it has recently become obvious that alterations of these gut microbial communities can cause *immune dysregulation, leading to autoimmune disorders.* You may destroy the virus but it equally inhibits ones immune system leaving the individual completely defenceless and susceptible to reinfection. Sadly when Peter says there is no correlated reductions in death rates when countries lock down is false.
      All the data from countries in lockdown vs those that did not respond fast enough shows clear correlation in number of deaths.
      The estimate is that roughly 15% who get it have respiratory problems. So a higher death rate implies a higher spread rate which happens when you do not isolate.

    • @kaymei1995
      @kaymei1995 4 роки тому +3

      @@SnuggLeona the problem is the only people being tested are people who are highly symptomatic. And out of these 15% have respiratory issues. What about the potential millions of aysymptomatic c19 people who will never be taken into account when publishing these figures?

      @Rimadim dim the guidance given by the Government covers a range of activities and precautions.
      Washing of hands, wiping down of object brought into home, isolation etc.
      It seems like you havent read the guidance, I recommend you do.
      Sadly the data is correlated to less restrictions means more deaths.
      Less restrictions means higher rate of spread, which means an increase in hospitalization, which means less available care, all of which translates to more deaths.
      It would be nice if it weren't so, sadly it is.
      The 'lockdown' is necessary. And the greed and interests of wealthy people should not come before peoples lives. The economy will survive because the economy is people.

      @SnuggLeona 4 роки тому

      @Rimadim dim the rich make a packet either way. The thing I read was specifically in relation to the nordic countries. Google it in good faith. I dont save everything I read.
      Look at the united states deaths, they did nothing for so long, and their death rate soars. Similar stories in all the other countries that did not take immediate action.

    • @rickylocock9068
      @rickylocock9068 4 роки тому +17

      It makes perfect sense and the best way of defeating a virus. Quarantine is only used for those who are healthy, to stop the spread of any virus.
      If everybody got this virus in the UK, let's say 20% of those people needed hospital treatment. That's 13 million people who would need some type of medical intervention, too much for the NHS to deal with. Out of those 13 million nearly 2 million that would die from this just because there would be no help, but also that number would jump significantly because doctors would have to let people die because there isn't e ough beds or equipment for people to use.

    The last time I felt something fishy going on was on the Friday 12th of February 1971. I went to bed on that Friday night with a virus and 240 pennies to the pound in my pocket, and bank account. A small bar of dairymilk chocolate cost sixpence. I was in financial clover! Well, when I woke up on Monday the 15th of February 1971 I got out of bed, feeling great. Went to the little shop on the corner and asked for a small bar of dairymilk chocolate, and to my surprise, it cost 9 pence. And!!! The change from my pound was 93 pence. "What!!!" I said. "Where's my other 140 pence???" The little old lady, had no more idea where it was than she knew where her 140 pences went. By the middle of the week...I knew exactly were it went. It was stolen by a Government that bankrupted the country, and got away with it. How, by flimflam. Decimalisation, and joining the European union. The pence in the pound (240) went down to (100) and the cost of every item went up. MY POINT? WE'RE ALL GOING TO BED WITH A VIRUS, AND WHEN IT'S ALL OVER...EVERY POUND IN YOUR POCKET, AND IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, WILL HARDLY BE WORTH THE PAPER IT'S WRITTEN ON. This government has f..... up! What they're putting us though?...Well, read some history and you'll see what governments are capable of doing...when the shit hits 'their' fan! FIN.

      I wonder, have you ever been wrong, or talked shite? Then why should anyone take anything you say seriously? You see the problem? Think on it some more, you might manage to understand if you don't fly into an emotional sulk.
      Any remotely intelligent person would know one doesn't address or bother about the individual. The person is really irrelevant. One addresses the actual argument or point/s being made.
      Unless one happens to be an overly emotional mental midget.
      Though I also suspect you might be exaggerating, and slightly misrepresenting what Graham said.
      Then again, I wouldn't expect an actual quote or accuracy from some who can't be bothered making even the slightest effort regarding punctuation.

The last few weeks, hardly any. You might say well they might not be using their sirens.Well I live near a major junction so they have to us them because they jump lights. We need 2 numbers. One showing covid-19 admissions who died and one where they were in hospital already or went in with something else caught it and died. My guess it's 50-50 which halves the numbers.
    No virus hangs in the air for 3 hours. It might land and stay on a surface for 3 hours but nothing heavier than air (like water droplets) hangs around unless there is a force holding it there like a thermal uplift.

Older males, smokers, asthmatics, cancer patients, health officials (who are exposed the high viral loads), are the ones dying. This begs a couple of questions. if we expose a healthy female with good respiratory system to a very small level of virus, can we reliably predict she will only experience very mild symptoms? Can we artificially improve that immune response, for example by injecting with another persons antibodies?

People are not touchy feely anyway, but now have added social distancing, masks are mandatory, large gatherings banned, schools, colleges, closed, take your shoes off on entry to a home and often workplace, shops open, no food or toilet paper shortages. Manufacturing open, people asked to work from home if they can. Restrictions are now starting to be lifted. Austria and Denmark are similar. UK seems to have gone full on authoritarian when I thought it would be here that did that.

    Why is Mike so disrespectful? He often lambasts his callers who are concerned with British people becoming a minority too I've noticed. And he calls himself an "alrernative" he's just like the rest of them.

    Stopped by police last thursday, me and two friends, for walking our dogs around an empty area in the derbyshire dales.
    Took our details and gave us a lecture, with one actually saying "you can't just do what you want you know". In a supposedly free and civilised society, I have been told by a police officer, with no sense of irony or shame, that I can't do what I want.
    I always assumed that in a free society it's my right to attempt to commit a crime if I want to. I just have to be ready to face the consequences, and deal with my conscience about any victims of said crime.
    When I asked if they thought it was right that they are stopping people, fining people, and arresting people for walking their dogs in an empty countryside, they said "yes, it is absolutely right that we should do this". With no sense of shame at all. Not even "well, I know it's bad, but it's only temporary".
    Now I like the police. The police officers. And these guys (well, except for one who seemed a miserable dick) were mostly really decent with us. My cousin and his wife are both police officers (in nottingham no less, saint annes area of nottingham at that), and my previous neighbour is an ex-para who teaches unarmed combat and self-defense to the local police.
    These people do an almost impossible job, and they (for the most part) do it because they want to do something good for their community and country. Nobody joins the police to be a cunt. They don't allow it for one thing, they weed out people like that pretty quickly in the exams and interviews these days.
    But the fact that these officers weren't too bothered about what was going on, as if it's fine that they're forcing people to stay home, pretty much at gunpoint, has me worried
    And with no word from Boris the plonker or anyone else on even IF these restrictions will be lifted, let alone WHEN they might be lifted, this is not a good sign

    Peter Hitchen uses measured and reasonable arguments. He represents the thoughts of many people and he should be listened to. Unfortunately there are too few people in public life who are brave enough, or sensible enough, to speak out like him. Even worse, there are virtually none in Parliament (of any political persuasion). This is a very bad situation, where there is NO debate allowed, no political opposition, not a squeak of protest from the civil liberties bodies......nothing.....It is "comply or be ostracised or demonised". I believe Mr Hitchens will be proven to be correct, but we will only find this out next year when the public enquiry is held?

    Trouble is, Peter, no-one knows who is and is not infected as some can be symptomless - so there is no alternative to keeping everyone apart. As for Graham's point below, the poor doctors have to make a choice between the danger of wiping out someone's immune system with radio or chemotherapy against the danger of the cancer treatment being delayed. In my local hospital brain and spinal cancers are still being treated but a doctor I spoke to about this became emotional because she had come into medicine to save lives, not to make terrible choices like the dilemma facing her and her colleagues at the moment. On a cynical note, you can apparently acquire immunity from coronavirus by buying a second home in Cornwall and then going to live in it.

      There is no test for an imaginary Common Cold-19 virus. Most people will test positive for 1, 2, or 3, corona viruses, since we all produce them, but share them with nobody. You may test positive for bird, swine and cow viruses, since that's what they injected you with.
      The *DEAD* tissue, exosomes, endosomes, viruses, call them what you like, contain the DNA of animals are toxic and dangerous for humans. !!!
      (p.s. The *Mock* virus was named nCoViD19 at the meeting of GlaxoSmithKline, the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organisation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (World Government) on the *18th. October 2019. @ EVENT 201 John Hopkins Centre* .
      The WHO changed the name in February 2020 to COVID-19 in case the flock was panicked . !!!
