Absolutely! I think this was one of my earlier videos and I did a quick editing job so there might be some slightly inaccurate information, but nothing that you would notice unless you’re a tech. I can’t figure out how to watch the video when I reply to the comments. But thank you for watching and please feel free to reach out if you ever have questions or concerns!
Thank you. This video saved me big time. Was ready to throw out my Maytag and get a new one but 9.99 CAN part from Amazon and its good to go. Respect and keep making these videos.
I love it when they fix the symptoms and not the problem. They'll be calling you again in a month shen it blows again since u didn't bother to find out why the fuse blew.
I'd mention the reasons for the blown fuse and eliminate future reoccurring problems. Ex: Lint clogging up exhaust or vent perhaps. Vaccum out clog. Lol
What about the reason that the thermal fuse blew in the first place? Something caused it to get excessively hot to blow and will more then likely happen again if the root cause isn’t found
I just replaced mine last night, and the dryer worked. Went to use the dryer again today and back at ground zero. Dryer powers on, but will not start, same as before.
I got a new washer and dyer today. SAMSUNG BESPOKE, and the dryer is a broken, loud noise that shakes the house fixed the old whirlpool we had and put it in garage
mine ended up being the connector to the gas coils wasnt making complete contact to the prongs on the gas coils, all i did was bend the connector prongs coming from the dryer and it started shooting flames again 👍🤟
@Victorious Realization just speaking from experience. If the high limit switch goes out then the dryer won't know the air temperature in the air duct. It will continue heating instead of cycling on and off to hold the high limit temp. The element will over heat and blow the thermal fuse. About half the times that I've had to replace a thermal fuse, (maybe 300 total) the high limit switch was the cause of the problem.
@@michaelgasperik4319I can imagine a clogged lint screen might cause this too if the heat builds up in the drum before it reaches the controls on the exhaust.
Question: I see you do a lot of dryers, But do you do anything about refrigerators? I have a question About a refrigerator I've been replacing parts for and yet have no resolution to solve the problem. If you have a moment and you have the knowledge I would like to inquire.
If that were mine, I’d just would bypass the thermal fuses all together. They cause nothing but problems even when you have a short duct run. They had to put thermal fuses in since people got lazy and negligent and didn’t clean their dryer out on a yearly basis then sued once the dryer caught fire because of their negligence.
Hey man I have a Crosley professional washer and dryer. The dryer doesn’t turn on anymore. Have you ever worked on one of these before ? We had a guy check it out and he said it was the motherboard . I have a little experience with electronics and smd soldering so I took it apart to see if I noticed anything and it looks okay. We asked him to get the part for us but he said he couldn’t find one and I couldn’t either. If you can help I’d appreciate it
Hey Derrick I have a Whirlpool dryer and the thermal fuse has never failed for 23 years. I do clean out the lint every wash. Why do you think a thermal fuse fails in your opinion ? Just curious.
Sure just change the fuse don't bother with inspecting why it failed. Great recipe for a house fire. Any time you take apart the dryer take the extra time to clean all the dust and lint mess out of it.
Thank you for saying this. The fuse blew for a reason. Happened to my mother in law. Fuse blew. Found the vent completely clogged. On the verge of a house fire.
hey @derrickwith2rs so i have same basic dryer and i changet that fuse and it still wont heat wats should i do next ur advice would make my wife really happy !!!!!!
@@MasonJarGaming I think that's a pretty strange assertion. Most modern fuses can last for decades without blowing in normal operating conditions. We're not talking about fuses from the 1940s here.
@@davereichert While it's true that modern fuses are designed to last for extended periods, claiming that they will last for decades without any degradation or failure is an oversimplification. Even the most advanced fuses can still be subject to various factors that can affect their lifespan. Washing machines are often installed in spaces that might experience humidity or temperature changes. These environmental factors could contribute to the gradual degradation of the fuse's internal components, affecting its overall performance. Additionally, Like all mass-produced components, fuses may exhibit some degree of manufacturing variability. While modern quality control measures have improved, it's still possible for individual fuses to have minor defects that could impact their long-term reliability.
See it great content like this that makes it easy for us "diy(ers)"jus follow directions and pay attention it's quite simple...hey no power cord either?! Power of the mind it is! Old Jedi mind trick.

Yes, it's true that the dryer is a clean clothes hamper.
best tutorial video!!! I have an issue with my dryer so tomorrow i know what to check first.. i’ll update as i found it or fix it

Lint build up clogging blower duct ,causing over heating ! He failed to remove blower duct and clean it and vent duct!
Bahaha “men use dryers as a hamper” 😅 💯 my guy is one in a million and even he does this 😵💫
im about to try some of you tips, thanks for sharing!

Big props. Mine was a 196f thermal fuse part number.
Best hamper ever!!LOL!!
Thanks for fixing my Kenmore, from Maryland
❤thank you you were right to the point . You saved my job
So honest question.
Would it not be a good idea to determine why it failed instead of just fixing the symptom of the problem?
THANKS FOR THE LESSON

Nice work brother.. very easy repair.
I ve done lots of dyi at home and my rental. Keep up those great videos man😅
that last part is true asf 😅😅
I got a new washer and dyer today. SAMSUNG BESPOKE, and the dryer is a broken, loud noise that shakes the house fixed the old whirlpool we had and put it in garage
That is my hamper and it stopped working as a dryer. Nailed it.
Thank you! I was able to figure out what was wrong with my dryer
lol 😂 good job man
Genius design

You are awesome brother..
That last part is true story.
God bless you for your help and advice😊
The best videos
Thank you VERY much! This was EXACTLY what was wrong with mine. Fixed it for $7!
THANK YOU! Dryer not working the best
This guy's talented. He got that dryer to turn on without a power cord. 🤣
mine ended up being the connector to the gas coils wasnt making complete contact to the prongs on the gas coils, all i did was bend the connector prongs coming from the dryer and it started shooting flames again 👍🤟
Don't forget to check the high limit switch, or you might be changing that thermal fuse again next week.
Wrong. It's about cleaning your dryer that causes fuse to blow. Lack of air causes heat which causes it to blow. What are you talking about?
@Victorious Realization just speaking from experience. If the high limit switch goes out then the dryer won't know the air temperature in the air duct. How do you check that??
@@michaelgasperik4319I can imagine a clogged lint screen might cause this too if the heat builds up in the drum before it reaches the controls on the exhaust.
@rickeykeeton4770 yes, if the lint catch screen is very full it will reduce air flow and the heat can "build up" enough to blow the fuse.
Question: I see you do a lot of dryers, But do you do anything about refrigerators? I have a question About a refrigerator I've been replacing parts for and yet have no resolution to solve the problem. If you have a moment and you have the knowledge I would like to inquire.
can you show how to fix a dishwasher
Thx man 🎉
I only have the Whirlpool washer and the dryer in the laundry room
Thank youuuuuuu! Very informative. Puerto Rican Bobby pit crew. Lmao
I just fixed my dryer after watching this video, saved me the new set my wife wanted,

You don't vacuum it out or make sure it isn't getting clogged up before putting the back back on?
Perhaps you should have inspected the venting that caused the thermal fuse to blow?
At first, I was about to move the dryer, but I decided to unplug it, waited a bit, and now it's fine.
My dryer just makes a humming noise when I push start and does nothing else. Any idea?
I replaced that and all the other parts back there, including the heating element. Still didn't work. Finally bought a new dryer.
I just buy the 29-dollar heat element kit and replace everything 👌🏾 also take the vent cover off and clean it.
hey @derrickwith2rs so i have same basic dryer and i changet that fuse and it still wont heat wats should i do next ur advice would make my wife really happy !!!!!!
Shake and bake , Ricky Bobby. 😂
Thank you
And 2 minutes later it blows again because it is still full of lint which caused it....
Wild dude 😂
I'm going to try this
He’s not lying on that Applebees steak lol
Why did the fuse blow? Eliminating the symptom is not the same as solving the problem.
If a fuse blows, there's usually a reason why it did. Probably be replacing another one soon.
Yes, but fuses also degrade with time and will eventually fail even if there is no other problem.

I watched a man take a dryer apart to repair it and I was so surprised there wasn’t too much to it. Can you buy parts pretty easily?
It’s the ending part for me 😅
My Samsung dryer is turning on and cycling but it's not drying clothing at all. I've done a deep cleaning and a fair amount of lint but still no luck.
On mines I gotta do two cycles for it to properly dry my clothes is this the same reason why my dryer kinda dries my clothes??
What kind of socket did you use?
Hey Derrick have you ever worked on a dryer that used propane?
Haaaaa shake n bake I love that movie
So true
If you need to, change a fuse. You also need to, check why.
If you switch the fuse will it not turn on if you havnt put the back on?
All true!
See it great content like this that makes it easy for us "diy(ers)"jus follow directions and pay attention it's quite simple...hey no power cord either?! Power of the mind it is! Old Jedi mind trick.
I have that same multimeter.
What is it called?
I did this but it still wont start. I also smell burning wire when i plug it in. Any ideas?
Hey...ever showed how to fix a Samsung Front load washer that wont Drain water Out
Why did the fuse blow is my question.
Where do we get the meter from Amazon as well?
Remembering I have clothes in the dryer and I also haven't cleaned out the tube in way too long. 😣
But what causes the fuse to open?
I find these bypassed more often than not.
Yes good clothes hamper. And if my clothes get thrown on the bed I just crawl under them and go to sleep.
