And even more recently, and more relevant to this discussion- places like Timbuktu and Northern Sudan, which in particular is undergoing a process similar to ancient Egypt. The native population is being exterminated by invading Arab forces, and those who remain will either integrate/assimilate/intermarry or be relegated to the lowest of castes. 700 years from now the people living in Northern Sudan will claim ancestry to the ancient Kushites - while relagating the African populations remaining and those to the South as having very little to do with this most remarkable civilization. Stop spreading misinformation and false claims: Pyramids, embalming, husbandry, mathematics and many shared traditions and linguistics were and are NOT found all over Africa. The only place outside Egypt where you find pyramids in Africa, is in North Sudan that borders on Egypt. The thing is, that Ancient Nubia was located in present day Sudan. During the New Kingdom Nubia became a colony of Ancient Egypt. Hence, the Nubians adopted many cultural things from the Egyptians, such as building pyramids, etc. Besides, people fail to understand that Africans are diverse people, and not one group with one history, language and culture. Furthermore, the Ancient Egyptians were geographically Africans but culturally and genetically rather Middle Eastern. That being said, the Egyptians also copied some cultural things from the Nubians, too. The Nubian wig for instance, is a form of headdress worn by ancient Egyptians which is thought to imitate the thick hairstyles of the Nubian peoples, who were at various times incorporated into the Egyptian kingdom. The wig partly resembles the modern Afro hairstyle, but is most typically represented as a built-up series of layers of tightly curled plaits

Any egyptologist that worked with the stargate and the mummy return movies was a disservice to the study of ancient egypt. The efforts to take blackness out of egypt have failed and will always fail.
Henry Louis Gates is sadly missing the point. The point isn't the specific coloration the AE used in their art for various African ethnic groups in the Nile Valley. The point is the hypocrisy of Europeans to claim that African populations in America with any amount of "black" blood are black people, while claiming that full blooded Africans in Africa are somehow not black. This is all about the power to define terms in ways that are useful for imperialists and racists and has nothing to do with observable facts on the ground. Morton was making up all sorts of pseudoscience to basically claim African skeletons as somehow European in origin. But instead of starting with that, as he should, he actually claims that the coal black paintings of some Nile Valley Africans means that this is the only kind of "true black" African in the Nile Valley. If that is true, then that means Henry Louis Gates and his very light brown skin isn't black then. I mean this is the kind of discussion you would expect at a cocktail party with no facts and reference versus a serious scholarly discussion. Most of the portraits that the people of KMT left of themselves and the other populations of the Nile Valley are all MUCH DARKER than Henry Louis Gates. Not to mention that among all Africans, Sudanese are some of the darkest Africans on the continent. But of course that would only come up if this was a serious scholarly discussion. And if you want examples, just look at the following tombs: Amenhotep III tomb (KV 22), Thutmosis IV tomb (KV 43), Merneptah tomb (KV8) among plenty others.
Thanks some good observations. I think Gates is well aware that all the Egyptians were black but he is asking whether there was some form of colourism like what existed in parts of black America especially former French Colonies were “ Mulattos” or light skinned blacks had a higher status than dark skinned blacks. Also the issue of different shades of black and brown in Egypt have been used by white supremacists to claim tow different races. My theory is that this is the “ elephant in the room” and Gates wanted it tackled.
@@othellom6493 Sorry gates is implying that the 25 dynasty Nubians depicted themselves as how the Egyptians always depicted them. Meaning that they did not depict themselves in similar fashion to the Egyptians, race , color etc.

The problem is that Egyptology deliberately suppresses the type of depictions that show phenotypical affinity between ancient KEMETITES and NUBIANS.
There's this unfortunate trend to say we are all "human" when it comes to Black history, science, and accomplishments of the ancient world. Then why dont we treat Greek history as Mayan history? How about Chinese history as Native American? There is a systemic denial of the Black African. And yes, it is racist in origin.
Ultimately it's nationism. There were specific nations of people in the bible who wished to rule over other chosen nations. Nation isn't a piece of land, it's a separation of official family lineages who descended from Noah. They've done a great job in trying to convince us that the bible is bullocks, and has nothing to do with us. That we are the cursed descendants of Canaan meant to serve Shem. I too fell for the okie-doke. It wasn't until I began hearing from and speaking to Bantu elders from the tribes we were said to be taken from, that a completely different history began to come to light. Europeans didn't go into Afrika looking for any ol' melinated, nappy haired Afrikans. They went looking for specific tribes of people, who they knew were Hebrew. The mass persecution of Hebrew people in Afrika dates all the way back to the Islamic invasion of greater Afrika. Our ancestors were called "Bantu" by the other tribes and nations, which translated something similar to "wandering people" or "lost people", depending on the dialect of the tribe. Essentially, thanks to the internet being made more widely available in West, Central and Southern Afrika, a can worms have opened up in the past 4 to 5 years, which more clearly answers the question as to why our true history was erased, and why our languages and culture were forbidden in the Americas, under penalty of death. And why the rather large remnant of the lost library of Timbuktu is being held hostage.
@@Hegilian You may have been fed this nationalistic idea. But is a modern one. Its called racism. Ancient Egyptian language and culture is united with Africa at large. Research has already been completed. Just takes a lil effort from you to realize.
@@dematidesigns5444 I know my peoples history very well as I have studied it for the past 15 years. So you could say that I put a lot of effort into it. You say I've been fed "nationalistic idea". No I was fed the idea of "race" and "racism". The silly notion that we are divided by the color of our skin and not our actual lineage. This is not about colorism. That was just a distraction invented by the Gentiles. They wanted all Melinated peoples to think they are from the same "race". Again, up until about 400 years ago, the people of the world were divided by their nation. Their biblical lineage. Not a "race". The Bantu peoples are not the same people as the Nilotic peoples for example. We may look alike, but we aren't the same Nation of people, which is why they and other indigenous Tribes have persecuted Bantu people in Afrika for over 1600 years. I assumed European powers targeted all "Black" people in Afrika. This is far from the case. They actually have long standing treaties with many of these non-Bantu tribes, with the common goal of eradicating, and or oppressing tribes who have a acknowledged or forgotten Hebrew lineage. The Tutsi people for instance, are actually biological descendants of the biblical Israelites. So are the English speaking southern Cameroonian people, who are being terrorized by the Northern French Cameroonian government. People of biological Hebrew heritage are being k1lled and oppressed all over the world. So again, they aren't targeting "races". They are targeting very specific biblical lineages. As hard as it is to believe, those biblical prophecies of what would happen to the descendants of Jacob, are real, and is unfolding right in front of us. This is the real reason why our ancestors were re-enslaved by Chittum (Rome). They sailed past millions of nappy haired, charcoal skinned Afrikans, that would have been much easier to capture, in order to target tribes who were known to be Hebrew descendants. Every other reason they will give you as to why they chose to target our ancestors, is a lie and a distraction away from the true history that is just now coming to lite.

It is supported by geologists, archeologists, astronomists and other scientists around the world.
@NILE VALLEY TELEVISION You are absolutely right. I know that KEMET was established hundreds of thousands of years ago. During the Neolithic/prehistoric era, ancient black folk was surviving in the Sahara desert which was viable and vegetative. They watched the skies day and night because of that, they started to eventually chart the stars positions building small ceremonial rock formations based on those star positions. Thousands of years later,, their descendants the Africans who continued their rock formations of the stars built NAPTA PLAYA. During that time the Sahara Desert was growing becoming very arid so those people started migrating trying to find more livable areas and they took the star worshipping ceremonial rock formations along building them in different places. Later their descendants thousand of years later, practicing the same, migrated to the Nile and with their advanced monolithic rock creations, built there apparently over thousands of years advancing that technology using geometry and other math to create the Sphinx, then pyramids as well as the greatest ancient society of antiquity. Of course, that began the Pharaonic dynasties ruled by Black Pharoahs which was eventually invaded and deceitfully assimilated by Asiatic and European whytes who stole not only the KEMETIAN Pharaonic dynasties but also the people's identities. Those prehistoric black people also founded sun worship.

I'm surprised Nabta Playa is not mentioned more when it comes to Nubia laying the foreground for monolithic Osirian alignments. This means Osiris, Isis, and Horace (Greek names) were in place in Nubia long before Egypt was colonized. Also the fact that the Sphinx is in the likeness of a "black" African with distinct prognathisn and what clearly would've been a broad nose and thick lips or as Napoleons translators Champoleon put it "typically Negro in all its fashions" proving that Nubian and west sub Saharan African "types" were not just assimilated into Egypt but were there at the dawn of the rise of Kemet and were of high respect and authority throughout pre dynastic early dynastic and the old kingdom. There is more than enough current evidence to say that sub Saharan Africans created and developed Kemet by the things most well-known as the holy trinity, cattle worship, pyramid building with Osirian belt alignments, etc. We're not talking about a black buy not black black African colony but a full on Black civilization that was later diversified by inner marriage, migrants, and conquests. I will definitely apply modern definitions of race despite their known scientific untruths but to support the social construct of American concept of race and say YES the Pyramid builders were BLACK African people!

Thank you! someone with some knowledge. That was exactly the reason moses was misidentified as egyptian. I would also be lenient in agreeing that they may have had various skin tones just like any race but def had black features as we know it. There was def major cultural differences as moses did anger some jews due to him taking an Ethiopian wife but I think that's mostly due to the fact that Jews have had very strict rules to keep the bloodline separate but on the flip moses wouldn't disobey gods laws so it was within reason for the jews to allow it and not make much of a huge fuss. Jews have been spread across the world so they really don't have a color per se but I strongly believe even Jews had predominantly black features at the start with say Abraham and more lighter features later due to Roman rule. It's just that one has to remember the Jew was technically it's own race at the start and Abraham was pulled from the African region so who knows? It wasn't until the Egyptian decline that more European people started mixing and occupying the region.

Yes their true Hamitic origin is proven even in the bible. As far as the skin color of Nubians being represented as black, there were also brown skinned Nubians represented. There were Egyptians and Egyptian gods who were painted black as the Nubians. Any black family in the US would be able to identify very light skin to very black skin and every shade in between. They are all the same race, however. There is a group of very black people in the Sudan today, (Old Nubia) and there are those with lighter brown skin. Gates is confusing the issue and seems too affected by American racial distinctions. 51:50, so he admits Sa'idis do not consider themselves Black African (and DNA agrees with their self-identification), and that is what Stuart Tysom Smith means by Egyptians would have been considered "black". Thank you, and I even emailed him about this issue which was confirmed, Modern Egyptians are the descendants.
The Ancient and Modern Egyptians he clearly stated, and he is just adding his American perspective, the world is not just black and white, Sa'idis are very proud people Sir!
The Modern Egyptians are the Descendants of the Ancient Egyptians, of course. In fact, the only Descendants that we know. However, Modern Egyptians also have ancestries from other peoples, so that are more "mixed" than their ancient ancestors. That said, what is even more important for me is the recognition of the 2 Facts: 1st, Ancient Egyptian Dynastic culture is African, fundamentally and thoroughly 2nd, the ancient Egyptian civilization originated directly and fully from the saharo-nubian pastoral neolithic culture, which is African rooted.
An iconic figure in imperialist thinking, Napoleon Bonaparte, once wrote that: “History is a set of lies agreed upon.” That pretty much sums up traditional Egyptology, which was/is essentially a racist, sexist white male supremacist cult. Rarely in the course of historical scholarship have a group of academics - so called “Egyptologists” - been so wedded to cultist ideology, and so little concerned with weighing the evidence objectively. The problem for them everywhere they looked was their major premise that Africa was a non-historical part of the world. Once you take that as your starting point you run into tremendous difficulties to explain away the powerful evidence to the contrary before your very eyes. Traditional Egyptologists are as discredited today as those who once thought the sun revolves around the earth and burned “heretics” at the stake for saying that it was the earth that revolves around the sun.

55:20: Re: Professor Gates' question about the skin color of Egyptians (“ruddy”) and Nubians (“black”) in art: in Egyptian art men are routinely represented with darker skin color than women. Although this has sometimes been explained as reflecting a culture in which men were more often outdoors and exposed to the sun, while women remained secluded indoors, the consistency of this color pattern reflects the fact that Egyptian art is based on conventions rather than optical observation. The convention of using color to distinguish different ethnicities in artistic representations parallels that used to distinguish gender. The images were never intended to be “realistic” in the sense we have come to expect from photographs.
He was saying that the darker skin made the distinction bc he was alluding to the fact that the captured Nubians are the same as Phillip who was worshiping in Jerusalem as was Jewish custom.
"In utilizing Egyptian reliefs and paintings to assess ethnicity and racial characteristics, a cautionary note is in order. In the Old Kingdom period (c. 2755-2230 B.C.E.), artistic canons governed the color for people shown in statuary, relief work and painting. Reddish brown was used for men, yellowish white for women." "By the Middle Kingdom, and more certainly in the New Kingdom, the color strictures of this artistic canon partly gave way. Often in these periods, people were depicted with their actual skin color, men and women alike, and with distinctive facial features. Not surprisingly, most tomb owners in the Theban New Kingdom necropolis are depicted with brown complexions, as we see among their modern-day descendants. Foreigners in this period are depicted realistically, in both features and complexion." "Some modern Afro-Americans, particularly those with mixed racial ancestry, will find that they look like some ancient (and modern) Egyptians. Should they travel to Egypt, they may find that in terms of their complexion they resemble people of a particular region of Egypt. This is no accident; there has been racial or ethnic intermingling in both instances. For the Afro-American, it has been relatively recent; in Egypt it has been a slow process lasting thousands of years, as far back into prehistory as can be gauged." -Were the Ancient Egyptians black or white (Yurco, 1989)

The Question is, Is Egypt in Africa, Is Nile River from Bottom of Africa or in Middle East?. How is did African Immigreted ? From North to South or South to the North?
In old Africa, colour coding never was a way of differentiating race but rather different people e.g. Nilotes are generally *black* whilst Bantus & Puntites are generally brown. The *Book of Gates* uses the word *"Nehesu"* when referring to the Nubians. This happens to be similar to the Swahili word for *the colour black* i.e. *Nyeusi* which is of Bantu origin emphasising that Ancient Egypt indeed may have been a native African people.
The Nilotes thing was introduced by white people. Africans classified themselves as Yorubas, Hausas, Mendes, San, Kikuyus etc. Even the countries we have now was introduced by colonizers in 1844.
If a race from the north 15:39 brought in writing, building in stone, sculpting etc, where is the location of their development of these skills before they came to Egypt? Dr. Ivan Van Sertima asked this question, and I'm asking it too. Africans have different head shapes, some have broad noses, narrow noses, textures of hair and skin shades.

When talking about color, one must understand the ancient Kemetites were representing themselves in a symbolic color of Keb/Geb and Nut (royal women--that's why the women are yellowish). That is the real distinction not race nor ethnicity. Diop refers to this. Black also symbolically represents Ausar and Baset (Kushite royalty the Katake were born of the black cat or panther). Someone asked about books on ancient Egypt. It’s amazing how these scholars fail to mention Cheik Anta Diop’s book African origins of civilization. Or Ivan Van Sertima’s work Egypt revisited. Almost everything that was mentioned here has already and more extensively been written about by these two men more than 40 years ago.
1:32:11 Ethiopia was the older term and is Greek. Was a generic term for "Black people anywhere including in Greece" and specifically for Nubia (which doesn't appear until Strabo's writings). So Herodotus in 425 BCE is discussing Kandaka and Nubians as only the term Ethiopians and Strabo is discussing the same region as Nubians. Interestingly is that the Sepat/nomme of Ta-Sety has the capital city name of Nwb.t (Latin: Nubia) and Ta-Sety is the origin of Kush/KSH rulers and the Nubian term for king is Kashta and queen Kandaka. So Ethiopia is Nubia but Nubia is Nwb.t where KSH/Kashta reigned that ironically is within contemporary Egypt's borders as a starting point giving Nubia begins around Aswan southward. So this idea that Nubia and Kush are different is incorrect. Nubia just extends into Sudan and had shifting capitals of Kerma and Meroe but the contentious border of Ta-Sety is both a domain of Nubia and Kemet proper.
Great lecture! A few points that were missed. First, the discussion failed to bring into consideration the Predynastic Tasian, Badarin, and Naqada I II III? And the fact that the people living in the lower Egypt (eg., northern delta: Merimde culture and Buto - Maadi Culture ), were ethnically culturally distinct from those in Upper Egypt (southern Egypt). The Naqadda, for example, were more culturally and ethnically connected to Lower Nubia; while those in the delta had closer ties to the southern levant and well as western Libyan desert. The Naqqdans took over unifying the north and south. In fact on the Namer pallet show in the video presentation, notice that there are two men with Afros with rounded noses subduing the mythical beast ( probably symbolic of subduing the north and south) while at the bottom a man represented as someone from the delta is represented with an Aquiline Nose. Also, if you look at the sculpture of King Djoser he has high cheekbones, full lips, and features that do not seem much different from Kushites? Overall when you look at the tomb paintings depicting ordinary life, what we see is a variety of colors. And I do not believe that the Ancient Egyptians could be classified as a single monolithic "race." As far as Upper Egypt is concerned i have no doubt those people probably more represented Africans living to the south in lower Nubia. But, I believe there was migration of people coming from the drying out of the western desert oasis ( as discussed) and the blue Nile. Also remember the connection to the land of Punt. I think the rise of Ancient Egypt, was not only rooted in Africa; but the "racial composition" of the Nile valley was multiethnic from its foundations? Its just my though, but I think the primary reason why we often see the use of red or brown pigment was not only of religious significant but was used to depict political and ethnic solidarity? The original population of AE probably resembled the same diversity we find in other north east African countries like Ethiopia: both Afroasiatic and Nilotic. upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e7/Narmer_Palette_serpopard_side.jpg

I'm a bit obsessed with this history especially since I found out my father is a direct descendant of Ramsees III. The haplogroup I found out is E1B1A. Racism is such a malignant culture, thwarting our understanding of humanity's truth. Our Afro Cuban religion is called IFA which is an ancient Youruba religion. The Yoruba origin story states the high priests and others left ancient Egypt, fleeing foreign invaders who didn't understand the spiritual practices and were polluting the religion. Folklore says these Nile Valley people brought their religion to Nigeria. Much of the concepts of the ancient Egyptian religion is present in my own tradition today in Cuba and Nigeria. I guess my dad's DNA results proves this story is true.

Not only was "Ni bia" (Nubia) rich in pasturelands but in wild animals, minerals like iron (re-at), copper (du-mmöd) or hmt (Ancient Egyptian language) with iron smelting that subsequently led to mounds or mountains (mere) of iron, this led to the name mere-na-reat (mr-n-rt):mountain/mound/hill of iron or simply mere (mr). This was corrupted to Meroë.
It’s telling that white scholars tell the history of ancient Africa. If you tell a story 1 million times the story will not be the same in the end. A picture is worth a thousand words
The etymology of "Nubia" has till today not been fully established. How did the indigenous people call themselves? According to the Bari (Eastern Nilotes) of South Sudan who can trace their origins between the 2nd and 6th Cataract, just close to Meroë, "Nubia" is derived from "Ni bia" meaning " (Ni) here; preferable/better (bia), as most found good pasture land for their cattle herds around 2700 BCE. Bari and Kenuz, Mahas, Dongolla dialects share many cognates. Ref. Murray and Roy (1920) on Nubian and Bari languages compared.
First we need to find out the true meaning of Egypt, it language and who the people are. I can say ancient Egyptians are Nubians... pronounced as (ana ibo).. meaning The land of mediators who migrated to upper Egypt. (Egypt).. consonants..(g Y p t).. pronounced as... ago Ya, a pa atu .. meaning.. prays to God and advice from the Almighty GOD. The African origin of modern humans is presumed because of the presence of Mitochondrial Eve which is the main superhaplogroup L. The superhaplogroup L has major subclade: L0,L1,L2,L3,L4,L5 and L6 found in Sub-Saharan Africa..(Africa)..pronounced as (ofe ri aka)..(frk)..meaning (the place of ancient time). So the modern Egyptians can not be ancient Egyptians. through the genetic studies The ancient Egyptians have L1 gene. One reliable approach to tracing the origins of the Ancient Egyptians is through linguistics. There are important linguistic differences between hieroglyphics(Greek: "hieros".. meaning.. "sacred' and "glyph".. Meaning "Carving":.. Igbo Language...iho e ro, e gee olu ife a kaa,..meaning.. The things you think about, when you listen to the sounds.(phonemic clues) of the object mentioned) and English. So Ancients Egyptians are IGBOS that spoke IGBO language. So-called Hebrew language is also IGBO language. Hieroglyphics are written without vowel sounds (a,e,i,o,u) but only written sounds of consonants. This creates several ambiguities, which make it difficult, especially for non- indigenous speakers of Igbo language, from which the hieroglyphs and Hebrew scripts were derived. It also means that, sometimes western Egyptologists may not know for sure what a particular word sounded like, since they can only estimate (usually from the equivalent word in Coptic) what the sound may have been. Western Egyptologists tend to use the vowel "e", to fill in hieroglyphic. which would not the case in Igbo language, where there are many additional vowel sounds. The word Amun - Re was derived from letters.. (m n R" .. pronounced as .. oma Enu Orie, meaning High Temple of Almighty God"). the word Amen was derived from ("m n pronounced as "i meena" .. simply means "Thank you".) There are important linguistic differences between hieroglyphics..(Greek: "hieros".. meaning.. "sacred' and "glyph".. Meaning "Carving":.. To cut it short Hieroglyphics is an ancient Egyptian Igbo language. ua-cam.com/video/b3-coVK-6JQ/v-deo.html. First what is the meaning of the word ( Igbo ) is correctly written as i gbo meaning "to mediate" because they are a nation of consecrated priests to mediate between God and humanity. The Igbo language is the fundamental language of so- called Sudanic "kwa" language. However, The Igbo Empires would spread to Europe, Middle-East, Near and Far East as far as India, China, Japan and Mongolia to establish the great Oriental Civilizations. All these languages have a common root in Igbo language! Before they were called Igbos, they are called ( I zara Eli.) meaning you answered God. The earliest civilization of ancient china in the second Millennium B.C, commenced with the the Black Igbo Africans of china ( Igbo language: Chi ana meaning God's land) ruling Dynasty under Emperor Yu ( Igbo language: Iyi, meaning "water"). before the communist revolution, the so called Emperor Yu was Emperor Iyi, meaning " Emperor of water". to this day, Chinese tradition claims that, the great Yu, was the regulator of the waters and the builder of canals. He also invented wet field agriculture. It is not contested by modern Chinese historians that, the Early Emperor of China were of African descent.
Ethiopia and Kush are used synonymously. Ethiopia is just the Greek word for Kush Nubians. You’re right about Mizraim(Egypt) and Kush being sons of Ham.

Any egyptologist that worked with the stargate and the mummy return movies was a disservice to the study of ancient egypt. The efforts to take blackness out of egypt have failed and will always fail.
Is that where you stopped watching?
Exactly. Unfortunately I think he is intentionally missing the point. He has to know better by now.
Scientific racism is deeply rooted in every aspect of scholarship.
No he isnt missing the point he was like that with the moors of spain he ignored the black presence.

In reference to your first question. They did NOT always depict the nubians as darker skinned. If you look at Egyptian iconography they depicted some nubians as having jet black, dark brown and even lighter skin.
Facts Any body with eyes and truth can see.

@JonAnthony GenX show the research on what you said.

Thank you! someone with some knowledge.

That said, what is even more important for me is the recognition of the 2 Facts: 1st, Ancient Egyptian Dynastic culture is African, fundamentally and thoroughly
2nd, the ancient Egyptian civilization originated directly and fully from the saharo-nubian pastoral neolithic culture, which is African rooted.
An iconic figure in imperialist thinking, Napoleon Bonaparte, once wrote that: “History is a set of lies agreed upon.”
That pretty much sums up traditional Egyptology, which was/is essentially a racist, sexist white male supremacist cult.

Hi, as far as I can recall , Europeans have portrayed themselves as egyptians. And nobody cared. However When a black person played Sadat in a movie it became a problem. North Africa and the Middle East is racist towards black people we know this. On top of that Racism has been a part of history. Here is the thing.
Reddish brown was used for men, yellowish white for women."
"By the Middle Kingdom, and more certainly in the New Kingdom, the color strictures of this artistic canon
partly gave way. Often in these periods, people were depicted with their actual skin color, men and women alike, and with distinctive facial features. Not surprisingly, most tomb owners in the Theban New Kingdom necropolis are depicted with brown complexions, as we see among their modern-day descendants. Foreigners in this period are depicted realistically, in both features and complexion."
"Some modern Afro-Americans, particularly those with mixed racial ancestry, will find that they look like
some ancient (and modern) Egyptians. Should they travel to Egypt, they may find that in terms of their complexion they resemble people of a particular region of Egypt. This is no accident; there has been racial or ethnic intermingling in both instances. For the Afro-American, it has been relatively recent; in Egypt it has been a slow process lasting thousands of years, as far back into prehistory as can be gauged."

The Question is, Is Egypt in Africa, Is Nile River from Bottom of Africa or in Middle East?. How is did African Immigreted ? From North to South or South to the North?
OMG!!!! Seriously.....PEOPLE get over it. Ancient Egyptians were black people that lived in Africa. ENOUGH SAID
In old Africa, colour coding never was a way of differentiating race but rather different people e.g.
If a race from the north 15:39 brought in writing, building in stone, sculpting etc, where is the location of their development of these skills before they came to
Egypt? Dr. Ivan Van Sertima asked this question, and I'm asking it too. Africans have different head shapes, some have broad noses, narrow noses, textures of hair
and skin shades.

The ancients used symbolism heavily in their representations.
Sea People's (Hairy Barbarians) migrated from the Eurasian Steppes, crossed the Mediterranean, and raided the region the Greeks dubbed Egypt.
Thank you for giving that Astute comment, they were basically the same people who formed Social Polities that sometimes Clash..

Thanks this is really educative.

This multiethnic foundation of Kamit that you are spewing here not only does not accord with The Historiography of Kamit but it is not even supported by sound Anthropology.
I'm a bit obsessed with this history especially since I found out my father is a direct descendant of Ramsees III. He is a Yoruba Nigerian descendant on his father's side from a man brought to Cuba on a slave ship. Apparently DNA revealed deeper back on that male line was Ramsees III.
Your DNA revealed that you and Ramses III share an ancestor who lived in North Africa or West Asia.
@@osselbanna5475 NO my father's DNA revealed, like the study released in the British Medical Journal article published on Dec 17, 2012 that I'm looking at now, that Ramsees III descended from a Central African Great Lakes BANTU man like me and my Nigerian descendant father. African culture, African people. E1B1A is a Central African BANTU genetic marker. Do your research please before you make baseless comments.

Ramsess III was not Bantu. In fact, the Bantus never made it north in their expansion.

Absolutely! Why, why and why again. We know why, we just have to ask the question because their rethorics behind their actions are disturbing.

(m n R" .. pronounced as .. oma Enu Orie, meaning High Temple of Almighty God"). the word Amen was derived from ("m n pronounced as "i meena" .. simply means "Thank you".)
