Great! There will be some landscape and wildlife during the bright season. As I wrote in another comment - a nice contrast to all these dark and freezing cold videos (you all must think that I live at the north pole) 😅
Andromeda will have to waight but, m45... Wauw i absolutely love the pleiades. Such an iconic starcluster to see. Even with the naked eye. Thank you verry much. There is one upside to switching to a 130 refractor i guess, you wont have to use the gym counterweight anymore😂 Enjoyed it a lot👍🏽
Thank you! Aurora is pretty common here. I was out this Friday and experienced an even stronger aurora that will be featured in next video. It's beautiful (when not obscure the target). Agree, looks as brush strokes!
Great video David. Fantastic image of the Pleiades, was a warm night then! Hope you get your mount screws sorted out ok! I think in your summer months, it would be good to see your other activities, landscape and wildlife photography is a favourite of mine as well👍 Clear skies
Thank you Simon! Pretty warm yes! Nice to to freeze each time! The mount screw makes me a little bit worried, we will see whats happening.. Landscape and wildlife is on to do now! It would be pity not to release something during a couple of months. Clear skies!
I was out a few nights ago finishing up my Rosette Nebula at 8F(-13C) in Hubble Palette. That was my limit!!! My EAF stopped working, but I believe it was the belt connecting to my SpaceCat. Again, great video and love the journey you take us on. Thank you!
Thank you! -13 is a great temp for astrophotography. Not too cold, not too warm. 😀On Friday I release my longest video so far, stay tuned and Clear skies!
Nearly tropical temperatures in Swedish Lapland.. How did you solve the problem with the focusser? - I would love to see Swedish landscape & wildlife photography!! Yes please. - As always: Beautiful final Image. Clear skies!
Yes, if the sun had been up, I could have sun bathing in that temperature! 😅 I modified a dew heater strap. Have not had any opportunity to test it yet though so we will see how it works. Landscape and wildlife is on the plan now! Will be very fun! On Friday I release the longest video so far btw so stay tuned!
I love the cold, blue colour of M45 with all the dust. Beautiful image David. I can understand your desire to sell the Mak-Newt. It is a nice telescope but very bulky and heavy. With all the travelling you do with it, switching to a 130mm refractor will eliminate the need for collimating all the time. I love the comments about reindeer poop! I am a biologist and have studied caribou (reindeer) in Manitoba. I’m very familiar with wildlife poop! I am curious why you set the focal length of your refractor to 0mm on the ASIAIR app before polar aligning. As the polar alignment is done through your main camera and refractor, shouldn’t the focal length be that of your refractor, not 0 mm? Looking forward to you landscape and wildlife videos in the off-season! Dr B from Manitoba, Canada
Thank you! Interesting that you are a reindeer poop specialist! 😀There were two big reindeer that run away when I came. I did not have time to film the😀m though. I sat the asiair to 0 because it was the first time I used the refractor for a while. When you set it at 0 mm, the ASIAIR automatic calculate the focal length (and came to 522 mm). Yes, there will be some landscape and wildlife. It would be a pity not to do any videos during the bright season. Not good for youtubes algorithms either, it took a couple of months to gain momentum again last autumn! On Friday I will publish my longest video so far.. stay tuned!
Thank you Bill! I don't know if solar interest me yet, maybe I should try! But I also have a lot of other things to do during the summer, so it could also be a little relief not to do astro because of all heavy equipment, planning and such. 😀
Nice picture at the end of the video! Also, I’ve watched more videos on your channel, and I want to tell you that you do a really cool job observing and capturing the night sky at your location. Minus 30 degrees Celsius… Brr… It’s awesome! I’ve found your channel when I was looking for videos with ZWO 2600MC Pro (I got the same camera recently), and I got fascinated when I saw your videos and conditions that you shooting in. Subscribed!
Thank you and welcome to my frosty place in the astrophotographic universe. 😀It could be pretty cold here, but the skies could be world class and I love to combine astrophotography with my outdoor interest and go out to these remote and dark places!
A 24 hour time lapse is on my to do! I think I will bring my tent and hike up on a mountain with beautiful views over high Sarek mountains. Could be very nice!
Snyggt som vanligt, fantastisk bild på M45.
Tack så mycket Göran!
Beatiful Pleiades photo
Thank you Fiorenzo, the Pleiades is a beautiful target!
All the dust in Pleiades is mind blowing. A very nice image. Good to see your Refractor telescope back in action.
Thank you! Pleiades is a great and pretty easy target. It felt good to be back with the refractor to gain a little bit of self confidence again. 😅
Landscape & wildlife photography would be great to see. Great picture David!!
Thank you! Great, I think it could be quite nice with some summer landscapes as a contrast to all dark and cold videos! 😀
Lovely Pleiades. I think seeing some landscape and wildlife would be excellent - so that's a yes vote from me.

Nice image David, landscape and wildlife videos would be great 👍
Thank you! Great, there will be landscapes and wildlife this summer! Looking forward to film without always thinking of keep all batteries warm! 😀
Your videos are fun and beautiful. SQM of 21.64. WOW!
Thank you very much! Quite dark place and only abut 45 minutes drive from home!
Love the Pleiades! I'm gonna revisit that target as well when I have the opportunity.
Yes, it's a great and quite easy target that's possible to do with short amount of time! Love the bluish tones in the nebulosity.

Enjoyed it a lot👍🏽
Thanks, yes the Pleiades is a very beautiful target. Very iconic! And yes, with the refractor I don't need the gym weight anymore! 😅
The shot of your rig with the Aurora in the background was eye candy. M45's nebulosity reminds me of brush strokes.

@@NorthernPanorama I look forward to seeing your spring/summer activities 👍

Pleiades always makes me think of Billy Meier. I have been studying him for 9 years. LOTS of astronomical info in the contact reports.

Another great video David!! Would love to see more of the Swedish landscape and wildlife!
Thank you! Yes it would be pity not to do videos during the bright season when I can't do astrophotography!

Looking forward to watching new videos on your channel.
Do you see noctilucent clouds at all in late summer or early autumn? They would make for interesting time lapses in the twilight sky. Thanks!
Yes I do sometimes! They could be very beautiful! I write down a time lapse on my to do! Good tips! 👍
I respectfully ask for a time lapse of the change of Landscape scenary or a time lapse of a 24 hr Sunlit day
