- The Ducati 1299 Panigale is an Italian sports bike that was first presented to the general public in 2011 at the EICMA show. Its serial production started a year later.
The 1299 Panigale model was developed and put into production to strengthen the company's position in the sports motorcycle segment and to replace the 1198 models. , was the most powerful series-produced 2-cylinder engine with a power of 195 HP! Compared to its predecessor, it was also possible to reduce the weight of the motorcycle. Thanks to these features, the Ducati 1299 Panigale is able to accelerate to around 290-300 km / h. Two development versions were created: Panigale S, which has richer equipment (above all, a better suspension control system) and Panigale S Tricolore with an ABS system and a changed exhaust system. The unit price of a used Ducati 1299 Panigale motorcycle in the basic version ranges from PLN 21,000 to PLN 90,000. PLN depending on the technical condition and mileage.

This 'kit' as it is supplied has terrible faults. Bare coloured plastic, phillips screws where they should be cap/hex/allen etc. Screws where there should not be any at all. A HUGE lack of detail. Joins where there should not be. The wheels are a nightmare as they come split when the real things are one-piece. So much requires sanding, filling and re-painting. I have the Paul Koo detail kit that helps but it should have the full transkit. Unfortunately that costs almost 3 times the kit price.

Beautiful, but you would have thought for such a high quality & expensive model, to be correct, they would have supplied silver rather than black screws for the engine covers, the black ones stick out like a sore thumb!!

Well…. The quality of this kit is not great when you built it…… but the finish is looks very good indeed. It’s a Pocher manufactured….Tamiya is top of the top on models kits , I love Tamiya always ❤️

There is one mistake. The Panigale 1299 final edition has no electronic suspension. You should remove it :-)

When the kilt is fully assembled it looks very good and very nice detailed, but the assembly process it was horrible because many parts didn’t fit very well…..
For final product I agree with 750 Euro but for process of building i think 400 Euro it will be enough….
You should have built it with hex screws not the regular M4/M3 as these are not to scale at all.

Hmmmm as a military modeler looking at this the actual construction of any model is usualy the easy bit, the real skill comes when the paints and washs come out. This model looks ok but its looking like a toy rather than the real thing, its totally lacking any paint washs to get in the shadows and really make it pop, in the hands of a skilled military modeler for a day or two this model would be totally transformed.

First of all, I would like to make some clarifications. Any kit can be built in several ways:
1 Simple 2 As close as possible to the original with all the color codes that the manual recommends and 3 Custom, as you want or as you would like it to look. Either is correct.I chose the first option and not for reasons of laziness as you want to insinuate in the comment, but for the simple fact that when you pay 1000$ for a kit and you are passionate about motorcycling, maybe you don't want to do anything extra. Not everyone who want this kit in the window for this price, they also want to buy paints, airbrushes, primer, etc. and maybe they don't have the necessary skills to improve it.
At the price of 1000$, not being a modeler, I think you want to assemble it yourself without anything extra and enjoy it. That's why I chose the simple construction option.
Fair comment. My comments were not intended as criticism and i think i'm applying my scale modelling experience be that aircraft, vehicles, trains etc where you are focusing on the finish rather than the construction, paying particular attention to light and shadow, one example on your model would be the gold cover with the Ducati name on it, a simple oil paint wash would have the name really standing out rather than disapearing into the background. However i do understand your rationale in not wanting to touch it.
