this is one of bjorks most beautiful and haunting pieces of art ever. her voice just effortlessly blends with the moody soundscapes and hip hop style break beats. she is a true visionary
A veces digo que Vespertine es mi disco favorito pero la verdad es que cuando vuelvo a escuchar toda su música me quedo con la idea de no saber cual es mi preferido, todos son tan buenos!!!
This album is so genius. Every single track is haunting and beautiful, and I love what she does with odd time signatures. Virus has always been my favorite with Moon, Cosmogony, Dark Matter, and Mutual Core.
i listened to the entire album on my first trip alone i did to the south of perú and north of bolivia. now, everytime i listened to it, it takes me back to those moments and places. thanks bjork.
Been down with Bjork since "Debut" the first CD I ever purchased and played. Love her! This is my first time hearing "Biophilia" and because of this post I just bought it on AMZ.com. Thanks Luca de Pasquale!
possibly my fave bjork album if only because the videos are the most beautiful... I actually have only heard "Moon" "Crystalline" and "Virus" before listening to the whole album now. it's just so pure and sweet
This is a piece of art and a poem to nature in all of her forms, I just love the cracking of the Pendulum Harp's wood on Solstice and it's rotating earth-like sound (btw this song was recorded live on MIF)
probably one of her best albums. usually the least accesible albums by her are the ones i find most accesible, the most out there ones are the ones i like most. the masterpieces like homogenic and vulnicura are ones i like too. the industrial and electro stuff with a wider appeal in Post and debut is OK but its not my fav although to be honest some of my favourite songs are from those
underrated i think, always seems to be near the bottom of the list for peoples favourite bjork albums but i think it's really good! = to vulnicura - in fact i probably prefer this album because it was the first one that was released after i got into bjork and i listened to it a lot plus a couple of the songs on vulnicura i skip (but still really like the album lol)
Bjork is the gateway for beings from outer space to interact with our species (or not) They are already here amongst us and bjork is the catalyst that will determine our fate based on how we as an advanced species of mammal react to her.. 👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👾👼👼👼
Hoetaco you should give it a few more listens, and give Biophilia live a view. This album is brilliant.Thunderbolt, Cosmogony, Virus, Sacrifice, Mutual Core are all standout, excellent tracks
its alright. I enjoy a couple songs off of this one. There is something about this album that i dont enjoy as much as her newest one Vulnicura. Vulnicura is soooo much better to me. I dont know how to put it. It just has better flow and more emotion than this album does. Vulnicura is to me the best thing she has put out since Medulla.
Yikes!!!!!! SINCERE Apologies to the, "Brightest Gem of the Constellations!!!!" after Cd's were not sold in music stores. I do not own this album and only based prior comments that I'm ashamed to have made. I only listened to 2 songs via You tube. I said your hair was was headed in that Lady Gaga direction and the videos of the song that were only the first 2 were of more effort than the quality of the DYNAMIC powerful "Ass Kicking Thunder," and "Clarity of Mind/Trance of Thoughts," songs of every song of albums of each and every album that I am SOOOO GRATEFUL to have absorbed mentally and physically. I don't know the fate that happened when I went alone went last minute and obtained a second row ticket to see you at the Hollywood Bowl concert for Vespertine, via last minute box office purchase. I saw your eyes with all clarity as you sang to me. Deepest apologies and Best regards to you and everyone in your heart. This is the first time that I am listening to all these enchanting songs via this entire album. I am "All" ......you know what that means!!!
This 29:33 reminds me of demonic stuff. I have never listened to Bjork but I scanned through her albums fast and she has a very weird style. She is a good singer but I am not a fan of the style(s) she chooses. Its very very dark.
What? You probably only listened to Dark Matter and Hollow, those two are the only two really "dark" songs in this album. The rest is very heavenly. Vulnicura is her darkest album, Vespertine is her most expressive and emotional album and Utopia is her best (personally) love and healing (as a concept) album. Medulla is primal and very expressive in terms of ancient humanity I guess. I would type more but I'm tired! :^D
+sbalo14 69136913 I like both of them. Why does liking Britney Spears make you unintelligent? The type of music you listen to doesn't determine your academic value, man. It's just fucking music.
+skyquakes Same! I like both. I can't say her music is excellent, but I simply like her. Is it wrong to like different types of artists? Is it wrong to listen whatever the fuck I want? I guess OP didn't watch Björk talking about snobbery.
Well, as Bjork said: …if they listen to stupid music, it’s because they want stupid music. And then if that makes them happy, that’s brilliant, you know. And people shouldn’t be so snobby. Because, um, it’s just not that simple. It’s like saying, “Filet Mignon is brilliant food, but bananas are stupid to eat.” It’s not! You need all the different things. You should chew it, all of them. If you wanna eat toast with jam for a week, and that’s all you wanna eat, do it
I can see why most of the fans always put this and Volta at the bottom. Outside of three to four songs on both... Most of it's weird, and not even in a bjork type of way just a bad way. I thought I was listening to pure noise at some points. Still love Bjork but don't love this. Hope Vulnicura and Utopia are better.

Oh my God, this album is a masterpiece!

Bjork is in a musical universe of her own.
We are lucky that she gives us these glimpses into her genius............
Thanks for uploading this.

+Michael Smith I uploaded these full albums just for this purpose, I guess it worked! ahah
I love Moon, Crystalline, Cosmogony, Virus, Sacrifice and Mutual Core. This album is beautiful
She speak to my soul!!!
+Cassandra Delapp me too, ever since 1993 when i bought her CD from @ Aaron's Records in L.A.! Love Bjork!
possibly my fave bjork album if only because the videos are the most beautiful... I actually have only heard "Moon" "Crystalline" and "Virus" before listening to the whole album now. it's just so pure and sweet
This is really an incredible awesome release from her.
Thanks for the upload!
Love bjork, a beautiful consciousness, experiencing her live was actually the best thing ever.
George Thom I agree with u, I did it days ago and was an incredible experience
Virus is incredible, and Sacrifice is amazing. Moon and Thunderbolt are also favourites.
madonna santa, bravissima non c' e ' che dire, ma la sua musica mi manda totalmente in massa il cervello!!!!
cristian81267 ci vogliono tanti tanti ascolti 😊
A LIGHT BEARER!!!
This album is an ode to all the wonders Mother Nature has to offer
Weon, el drop de drum n bass en Cristalline. Es demasiado, que obra maestra.
Es Breakcore propiamente, pero sí, muy bueno.
Gracias por la aclaración!
Yo también creía que era Drum n Bass :O
Thank you luca. why are you so wonderful?
he is a porno star
It really speaks to me.

Amazing
Choose the song that suits you best. Mine is hollow.
+Haruka moon here
+Haruka I'm probably Crystalline
+Haruka thunderbolt
Mutual core
Hollow too

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
this one really doesn't seem to stand out to me, except for crystalline and mutual core, which I really love

Yes, because everything "different" and "weird" is somehow demonic. Also, this isn't the first album to dive into if you're new to Bjork.
Because Crystalline, Virus and Cosmogony are so dark! I appreciate variety in everything she does.

¿ Y Náttúra ?
it's not on the basic version of the album which is the one I've got, but on the deluxe version
¿Do you like Náttúral?
komo que te hace recagarrrrrr
que te da diarrea
Ahem... Biophilia is from 2011
Damn, doesn't feel like 4 years ago already. I want this vinyl box set soo bad.
I agree.
Galion Silevion you're right! I corrected. Thank you :3
Luca de Pasquale You're welcome ^^
checa
Is it just me or does Thom York need
to stop giving himself haircuts!
There are two different types of music fans. There music fans that like Britney Spears and there are intelligent music fans who like Bjork.
+sbalo14 69136913

StrickenWithFear it's influenced by noise music
Shy Stone ...I can tell. It's not for me.
StrickenWithFear ok! anyway vulnicura and utopia are more listenable 😊
Shy Stone I agree, haven't gotten to Utopia yet but I can't wait. My favorites are still her first four but I'm excited to see what utopia brings.
StrickenWithFear ok!
Mine Vespertine, Biophilia, Homogenic and Vulnicura 😊
