This little thing is really magical. I only play with that. I have my sounds, I do not search in complicated menus anymore. The sound is incredible, a real pleasure.
I’m a bass player but I love Tech 21 stuff including the fly rig units. There’s really no need anymore to break your back carrying loads of equipment to get killer tones.
Been doing some research to see if this was a suitable replacement for my live set up, and quite frankly, it was good to see a review of a non metal head. You've got me sold. 🤘
I wish this had an effects loop then it would be perfect for out of state gigs, but you still made me want it with this excellent demo. I've been a fan of your videos since 2008!
I own the Ritchie Kotzen rig ........it's amazing!!!........I can get a great tone no matter what guitar I plug in her .....just a genius preamp .......have a great day everyone!!!!!!
I had the Richie Kotzen version two, then got rid of it to get an MX5, which I’m not so happy with these days. Considering getting the fly rig v2 as The Paul landers might be too much gain for a classic rock, hard rock cover band?
Kinda. It's really more based on the GT2 which has different distortion or drive modes. So, it can do the Rectifier tone, but can also be set to sound more in the Marshall style too. It's not really based on anything in particular.
I have this pedal and I love it! The only thing I have issues with is with the Direct Input through my Scarlitt Focusrite 2i2. Directly recording into my computer I get this really horrible hiss. I have tried turning the drive down to almost nothing. Leaning off the high on the eq. Using a low and high pass filter. Nothing seems to work. I'm at a loss. Any tips or tricks you might have would be much appreciated!
1) Is your 220V grounded? 90% of all cases btw 2) Do you have lamp plugged into the circuit, uhm, like, multiple 220Vs in a row? And you have PC, Monitor, Lamp, Chargers etc plugged into that? I had a problem with a cheap China lamp which had a massive block plugged into the same circuit where my rig was, and my microphone didn't really like it 3) Cable quality? You use thicc cables, or nearly handmade looking ones? Sometimes they bend, you know
MeOwOgai can I use any 220v adapter into the pedal? I am just using the one that came with the pedal. And actually. I’m now remembering without looking at it. It’s not grounded. I’ve looked online for one with a ground and can’t find any. Would plugging into a power strip work? Or what’s the best way to get a ground with the adapter that came with the pedal?

doesn't need an fx loop, you can just run your fx after it and then to FOH or an amp return.
I love t21 gear. Have a rack mount sansamp that records so well.
I wish I had an Explorer exactly like THAT one! Really great! (Cool Fly Rig too!)

Quick German pronunciation guide
Wasser - vass-uh
Feuer - foy-uh
Rammstein - Ram-shtine
Paul - Pow-l
Lots of gain indeed - perhaps a bit much for my taste though overall a cool unit
Long while since you did a Tech21 demo, Brett. Thanx for the video.
Cheers, Pete. That's exactly why I wanted to cover this one. Long and happy history with these guys.
Great demo burg! I think only you and Pete Thorn could make this pedal really great sounding
The Amp companies are looking over their shoulder..for gigs light compact .sounds great ..quick load in ..no brainer
Sounds good and I like the looks =)
Sounds epic!
Super video cool
Can you plug this directly into a cabinet?
You can, but the sound will kinda get diminished in my opinion, it’s great as it is ;)
plug it into a powered frfr speaker or an interface to powered monitors.
How about the OMG dirt with the configuration and functionality of this PL1 version...Would totally go back to the flyrigs!
The Ritchie Kotzen rig *v2* has a very similar layout to this and includes OMG. I use the v1 and love it.
From what I seeing when he uses the pedal it appears that the Compression only works for the clean and not the distortion channel?
Yes
What are you plugged into?
Did the compressor itself lend a bit of breakup or was your Presonus device slightly clipping?
The only problem is that you cannot change from clean with delay to distortion without delay
Wasser should be “water” and feuer Stands for “fire” ...another way to define clean and dirty sounds...
Understood. Some people would consider fire purifying. Hell....water and fire are both nice. Damn fine pedal.
Is this based on Mesa Boogie Recto amp?
Kinda. It's really more based on the GT2 which has different distortion or drive modes. So, it can do the Rectifier tone, but can also be set to sound more in the Marshall style too. It's not really based on anything in particular.

@@TheMetalLife666 you should try Furman stuff, power conditioner or something like that.
Radityo Pramono Adi I’ll check it out. Thanks man!
Try a DI box.
What about "Ambiance" function? I can't sense range and overall quality of that "reverb"...
Feuer: pronounce 'foyer'
Wasser: pronounce 'vusser' with the 'u' pronounced like in 'fuzz'
