I’ve been told by some retired pilots, the coolest thing about flying for the USAF is walking to the jet.
sounds about right
paco291 Oh yah, forget afterburner, blowing shit up and/or saving a SEAL team on the ground. Give my that walk every time. R u stupid or something, Forest?
thats what my dad has said
I've seen many walking to the plane and it is very cool lol
Jet*
Army here, we always tease the airforce. Picking with them, they called us names as well, was just what we did. At the end of the day we are all brothers & sisters. Those Flight Suit Insert's saved my ass on a few occasions. I have mad respect and that's real talk. 100th Fighter Squadron is no joke. They provided a sense of security to us on the ground. The sound of those support jets was music to our ears.
RP47 Thanks for sharing! Thanks for your service!! Much love much respect!!
All family in service
What A Great Man, Thank You For You’re Service
As long as you're sitting next to me with a weapon shooting at the enemy I don't care what branch of service you're in you're still my brother
you prolly dont give a shit but does anyone know a method to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
Man the relief you feel when you hear these boys rolling in
No matter what branch of the military you are in, I salute each and every one of you! Thank you all for your service!
Are pilots allowed to go on practice flights in there own time, or are they only permitted to fly for sorties? I've been wondering that for a while.
He’s asking for a like by the owner of this channel but doesn’t get one 😂
Yes, God bless all our military men and women.
As do I!
Amen to that!
For those who complain about how hard they work…
Great video. As an infantryman It was always comforting to have a jet scream overhead and hear the calm voice of a jet pilot over the radio.
what conflict did you serve in if i may ask

People don't realize the level of stress an active fighter pilot goes through. One of the most difficult jobs.
Antonio Saidiani true
Yup i heard heart rates go up to 180 190bpm which is insane ngl
Not as much as the stress the women, children, and unarmed men that they are killing go through in a land that has no air defence system whatsoever. These pilots are nothing but glorified cowards. Let's see them fly over China or Russia, that would sure be a sight!
Yeah you gotta resist almost 9Gs and at the same time you have to think, and judge during the dog fight.
Thank you guys for being who you are. This was my dream. I threw it all away for drugs and my environment sure didnt help but that is no excuse at all. Now, all I hope for in this life is to do something good for this world..
May you have peace in your heart, I hope you will succeed in making one of your dreams come true

only jet pilots, dads and gays are allowed to rock such a moustache
and firefighters
And woman like yourself
That’s so many people
Firefighters* not gays
Why does a red blooded male want to manicure himself. 🤮
I dont get it, why all these guys looks like Goose From top Gun ? Is that a part from the riquerements ?
@Tyler Lindahl Military folks are easy to pick out. It's all the damn rules about dress and personal appearance. It's been 20 years and I can still remember a random ass code AFI 36-2903...PS the mustache is the only facial hair you're allowed as having a beard/goatee/excessive side burns interferes with proper fit/function of gas masks. We used to see other people's military on our base with their full beards and wonder if they were under a chemical attack how they would survive.
@@rpenri that's because it doesn't actually interfere with the gas mask, it's a myth.
@@hellfun1337 And how is it you know this? Ever grown a beard and tried putting on a gas mask or just repeating what other people are saying?

Good Luck!
Well how’s it going after a year
Good luck hopefully you get the f-18 or f-35
Hopefully you are doing good man
I was in the RAF and based at Coltishall, England when the Alabama Air Guard deployed over in F4s. It was a fantastic experience working with them, sat out at the end of the runway in the 'caravan'.
R.I.P. my cousin Maj. Carl B. Light, USAF retired. Two tours Vietnam , shot down over North Vietnam and rescued.
Wait I confused did he die a long time after that incident?
@@thiccieredd9606 that or they rescued or recovered his body
@@thiccieredd9606 yes,he survived that incident & retired from USAF.
I was surprised by the vibration when they showed the view of the pilot in the cockpit when the cannon was firing. I know the pilot can feel the plane shake when firing the cannon but never imagined it was so hard that it would shake a camera like that.
Too me fighter pilots are the rockstars of any military branch.
It really is like meeting a movie star lol
Everyone complains about how the air force is a dumb branch but who do the troops go calling when they're pinned down?
Robert Kite they don’t call them a dumb branch, military members make fun of other branches, it’s part of their culture
They insult the air force calling them chair force because majority of air force members work desk jobs
And majority of the Air Force is not pilots, the marine corps and army isn’t infantry either
I can already tell that you don't have any siblings. Military branches are just like your siblings, you respect and love them; but you'll be damned if you don't make fun the shit out of them. It's a morale booster, also it gives you bragging rights.
Tank 4 just wanna say that the majority of Airforce jobs aren’t desk jobs but maintenance and security forces :p
Robert Kite .. the Marines and the US Navy fighters and dive bombers...
The A-10 the gun go wrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Salute, these guys are badass. I wanted to be a fighter pilot as a kid. The most amazing job to have.

I wanted to be a fighter pilot, but I have oversized testicle phenomolina, basically Air Force said my balls would be a hazard to efficient flying. I was very disappointed

I really don't see why. They do NOT look good.
POOOLICE THAT MOOSTASH
Oddvard Myrnes started in Vietnam and nickname the “bulletproof mustache”. Look up Robin Olds he was the mastermind with his out of regulation mustache. It was a religion and superstition
everyone is always makin fun of the air force even though the pilots are always the ones to save infantry on the ground. I have mad respect for the air force
Other branches do that all the time. It's kinda like a sibling teasing you, it's nothing more than a joke and not to be taken seriously.
My grandfather flew the P-47 Thunderbolt or simply The Jug during WWII and my dad flew the RF-4 in Vietnam he couldn't help the guys on the ground because he shot everything with a camera. He didn't even have chaff to protect himself against a SAM. Growing up hearing those stories I didn't want that route so after law school I became a JAG lawyer for 23 years and I joined the Army.
Alabama has always been known for football and fighter pilots. Theres a legacy to uphold in both and our young men do a fine job.
why does it always have to be some sort of representation of a state or country, just be a good individual that's all you need to get respect, you don't need to "uphold" some tradition of a certain area you originated from.

he never became one.
I had the absolute honor of flying both with & alongside Lt. Col. McGinn call sign "Homie" & what that man can do in an F-16 is simply amazing! I remember 1 training day in the states he & Hollywood took out our whole class in dogfight training he can do an F-16 do things that you would only expect to see in a movie. I've flown the F-16, F-15C SE, F-18, & recently had the chance to have some fun in an F-22 & while they're all different in their own ways the F-22 is in a class of its own I can say that. Some of the stuff that plane does defies the laws of physics I loved every minute of whipping that aircraft through the Mach Loop in the UK during the big air show held annually over seas. I don't think I'll ever get a chance to experience the new F-35 Lightning but in the event I do I can only imagine what that bad boy is like in the Mach Loop! I have a buddy who I watched grow up & he is now a fighter pilot his self & he was fortunate enough to get selected for the Lightning program & said that "it's a feeling like no other! Especially with the tech that it is equipped with"
What exactly was your intention with this reply? It doesn't matter if 99% of the time they're simply on alert, because when the time comes, these highly trained intelligent service members are there for the ground troops.
The reason the US is powerful comes down to total air dominance, whether that's aircraft from the air force, navy/carrier groups, or marines/expeditionary groups. Also, as pointed out specifically in this video, they're flying very low on some attack runs.
The enemy has more than rusty AK47's, but even the AK47 can get a lucky shot causing damage to the lone engine, especially when the enemy knows how effective the aircraft are and the fact they'll be dead or will be forced to retreat if they don't attempt to counter the air support.
So, you're either a jealous member of the armed services on the ground, which I find highly unlikely due to your disrespect, or you're an asshole. Either option is terrible.
That’s cool. I’m 13 and since my grandpa is a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. He has been taking me for a week every three months since I was 5 to fly the sims. I have around 30 hours in the T-6 and around 25 in the T-38. I hope to get into the Air Force academy and go fly a-10s. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to fly the F-22 with the maneuverability and vector thrust.

I work right down the road from these guys. I always love seeing them fly. Never get tired of it! During their open house, they let me photograph their planes as much as I wanted! Man I am so curious about this one thing! ...lol... I want to know, is it possible to suffer a hang fire or squib load in your gun set up in your fighter aircraft? I'm trying to imagine if the wing explodes? Does it cause all the guns to jam on that one side?

I’m taking my first flight for a Private pilots license tomorrow. Super excited and hopefully can carry it on to the airlines or military after I graduate college.
how’s it going bud?
@@isideyou6018 welp I got a call from the instructor asking if I wanted to reschedule due to poor air quality and visibility from smoke and I agreed. I live in Oregon where there are those massive forest fires going on and where I live the smoke thick enough to only let you see about a half mile to a mile out which would just about ruin the experience. Today was pretty damn disappointing but I’m rescheduling it as soon as it clears out and I get my new work schedule.
Don't give up and strive on!! Itll be well worth it!!🔥🔥🔥
"Drop ordinances." 💣💣💥
The guilt I feel is insurmountable. I wanted to be in the Air Force from a young age courage, but let the young life get ahold of me, and now I'm 27 and desperately want to be a fighter pilot but never went got my 4 year degree, despite my potential I wasted. It sucks to watch them fight without more support. I should be there.. I feel like that was my calling all along.
I've wanted to be a fighter pilot too, there is a conflict inside of me. Join a war that has no part of my life, for a moment of fulfillment, or to join another career or path. The military is a big deal
You've got 5 years to start working on it. If you want to fly fighters a great place to start looking is the National Guard. As an example the wing in this video is National Guard from Alabama. If you go through the Air Force you compete with others in your class and other UPT bases for a fighter. If you get hired by a guard wing you know exactly what you are going to fly before you even go to flight training. Find a fighter wing in your state and get to know them. One smart way to get on is to go enlisted with them first while you are working on college. A private pilots license is a plus too. At this point your biggest thing to work in that direction though is getting the degree. I took this from the US Air Force website....."Becoming an Air Force Pilot requires you to meet strict physical, medical, vision and academic requirements. Applicants must achieve qualifying scores on the AFOQT exam, meet all requirements and pass a selection board prior to age 33.Becoming an Air Force Pilot requires you to meet strict physical, medical, vision and academic requirements. Applicants must achieve qualifying scores on the AFOQT exam, meet all requirements and pass a selection board prior to age 33." You've got time.
I’m going to try to be completely politically unbiased but considering the geopolitical state of the world at the moment and coupled with the economic & societal strife in the United States ( and obvious weakness ) , It’s actually the best time to give your talents up to the government if that’s what your true desire is . There’s currently a well documented pilot shortage on all fronts and that opens up the opportunity for ANYONE with fixed wing experience to try to get a reservist spot at a base in your state .
This looks so exciting and cool, and also scary as fuck.
If you have a motorcycle, the song for you is "Machinehead".
Another infantryman here, as much shit as we talk, I've had F-14/16/18 and A-10 pilots save my life. Today I get to sit on my ass and watch my kids grow up and become their own people....and I can't thank you fly boys and girls enough.
7:29 throughout the whole video it's been bothering me. Please tell me his call sign is goose lmao..
Looks like the mustache is making a comeback.

The a10 owns the sky for close ground support in Afghanistan
So incredible. What a tremendous responsibility and sacrifice. I love how much respect they have for the airmen before them and for their unique experiences in battle that they had to face.
I don't think man should have ever created war and in truth there is no reason for it. If division between one person and the next didn't exist, murder/attack/domination would not be a means and there would be no means for counter attack or defense. But as it stands, its a way of life today, and I salute all veterans for their courage and sacrifice to willingly go into the face of danger.
