Fun fact. I've talked to the people at High West, and learned that most these are aged in the Salt Lake Valley. So with temp swings from 110 to -10 degrees, the barrel interaction can be quite dramatic.
Great review! Pineau de Charente is a aperitif indeed composed of 25% of cognac and 75% of whites ou red grapes juice (pretty sweet). After blending, it's aged in cognac casks during determined times. It's very refreshing and tasty!
Welcome to the Whiskey channel on a tasty Tuesday. Enjoy the show. Rex rambles on for a bit and finally take a sip around the 5 20 mark. He was making me anxious as Daniel had already tasted and was making weird faces. I needed to know the results!
Gotta love High West's barrel pick program and all the finishes they use. It's fun to collect them and see how different finishes influence the same base whiskey. So far I've got a PX Sherry, Cognac, Islay Scotch, and Macvin du Jura. They're all great, but the Cognac finish is far and away my favorite.
Love the way you talk about the way the nose evolves in the glass without even tasting. A lot of tasters just sniff and swill. I likes me a bourbon air sandwich for a few minutes before sipping. Great review!
Hi everybody. For April fool's y'all need to do a review with no ball busting, no shenanigans, no stories. Only tasting notes and slurps and swishes. Suits or respectable clothing also!
No troll is quite as sweet as reviewing a year old limited release that no one can go buy. “This is really interesting. You should have gone to total wine last fall and bought some. But you didn’t did you?”
I believe asparagus candy canes are real. If I'm not mistaken, the TRY Channel recently featured them on one of their recent episodes of weird Candy Canes.
Had a store pick of this, and while I love the normal American Prairie I felt this was hot garbage. I thought it was “bad”. Tastes stale if whiskey could be stale. It’s going in the pile to give away when I go back into the office, someone will like it.
It is always funny watching anglophones trying to mimic French like you do... Just to help.. Pineau des Charantes would be more like: Peeno Day Shawrante... closest thing I can give you.. lol Second thing, I was laughing when you started saying stupid French words and the first thing you said was "Sucon".. you said it perfectly but In French Canada it would be spelled Suçon and means lollipop... lol
Not that I dislike this video, but its very funny how dislikes aren't counted anymore...what sort of soft society are we becoming? Or is it just Googles way of hiding Brandon's ratio?

Imagine what it’s like in an open air rickhouse in Kentucky. Especially at the top under a tin roof. 0-150 in the span of a year.

Ah the classic episode where Rex gives his tasting notes before tasting it, and Daniel gives his tasting notes solely in facial expressions.

I swear every episode is like a new lesson from Rosetta stone. I learn all the words here. Good on you boys for doing this for free.
I will never skip the full Titans sequence!
Nor will I. I've given up conjugal relations with the wife because the Titans sequence is so much more fulfilling.

If you guys ever slum it in Pittsburgh I can’t imagine anyone I’d love to have a few drams with. Love your videos!
That dry finish is what I love about American Prairie!
The Titan intro never gets old.
Love and light to you all. High west is always innovating doing some killer stuff
I've only had one of their whiskeys. I definitely need to try some more of their expressions. Great reviee fellas.
Just had the peated finished one and it's pretty awesome burnt ends in a bottle
what do you guys think about an update for the quintessential shelf in the background? - test all the Whiskys and explain why they are on the wall?
Can't wait for my 2 week Christmas break. Need to catch up on videos and try to make some room in the whiskey cabinet.
Good Morning all you wonderful MB's :)
GOOD MORNING YOU MB'S... 🥃
“I knew there would be trouble when the safe word was ‘Don’t stop’!”
Good morning!
After watching the titan video it got me thinking. Since you haven’t finished your cosmic bunghole journey are we all just caught in purgatory?
High West does some interesting stuff....
Intro was epic!
This should have been on a rare whiskey Friday!
Really surprised my joke comment got read in today's episode lol
While I adore Rex, sometime I miss the old, 'green' mooch.
archie mcphee used to make a kale flavored candy canes. also ham, clam, sardine, and shitake mushroom flavored ones too.

Rex inappropriately enjoyed a whiskey and its 100% UA-cam safe! I am in shock
When are you guys going to respond to Matt Porter, the World's Greatest Whiskey Taster? 🤔
I believe asparagus candy canes are real. If I'm not mistaken, the TRY Channel recently featured them on one of their recent episodes of weird Candy Canes.
? Is this an American whiskey ( bourbon blended with light whiskey). If so ,that is where the dryness is coming from.
OK then smarty ... how long does it take you to finish?? Is it a short or long one?
I have one that's finished in a peated scotch barrel haven't opened it yet.

Good morning 🔥🔥
Has anyone noticed that Daniel has given up on waiting for Rex; he starts tasting while Rex is still waxing poetic on the nose.
Daniel says "aperitif" like it's missing the first "i," with only three syllables. It should sound vaguely like "a pair of teeth."
Laphroaig knows your safeword
Good Morning MB's
Tipplings and libations! 🥃🥃🥃
I'm going to make this the zoom background for my next psychological appointment... just see what happens...
"Like a sweet tea with a lot of honey." Is there another kind of sweet tea?
Is the drink good or not
I think “Grave Mistake” would work for burring a barrel to age it.
You may refer to Sir Dan as His Adequacy
surprised you didn't a-b compare to the original one.
And if you drink, ba-bingo!
A lifetime supply of "asparagus candy canes" is 1 (or less)
We need Rex with a Margaret Thatcher mask
Margaret Thatcher - Love that she made it. PM, nope. Here, here is where she really made it... on the Whiskey Vault.
This really should be on rare whiskey Friday, cause your not gonna find this on the shelf
Tenacious D vibes?!
that titan song is so long
Rex's French pronunciation is near perfect. Pinown De Shanana
It is said "Pin" "O" "day" "cha" "ran" "teh" :D
Dammit GIFs need audio

Greets from Poland ;) You magnificient bastards
Even when Rex wears pants we get to see knee. 6:38
Very fruity but that makes it very sweet too sweet for me.
1stish
And if you drink...
Bubingo
“It’s clingy but not oily. How is that possible?” - have you ever dated a Jewish girl?
Blabedy bloo is the worst.
