      look up Johnny Counterfit's Walk The Line. He's not a professional singer, he just does imitations, but his imitation of Johnny is dead on.

    Ha oh my god I have a lawsuit cfsuzuki&co j200 acoustic too, bought it for fifty pounds second hand when I was 15 and I'm 58 now and I still love it, I've played and own much more expensive guitars but it's the one I'll pick up everytime. Those 1970s Japanese acoustics are really well made. You don't see many of them so I was thrilled to see that one.

    Thank you for teaching this song in F, I don't know why everyone plays it in E.

    • @swiftlessons
      @swiftlessons  7 років тому +8

      +TenThumbs Productions well it's usually played in E position with a capo on first fret. I've seen footage of Cash doing it with and without a capo, sometimes in E and sometimes in F. The solo however has to be done in E position because it utilizes open strings.

    I use a different strum pattern on this song (dotted eight and sixteenth) which fits a lot of country and Johnny Cash stuff. Its a lot easier to do as well and gives a great train sound. But I learned that intro you demonstrated and its great. Took about ten minutes to get it all flowing and I've an audition in a couple of weeks so just might do Folsom for it.
