I love your practical videos, I have a zero 8 which got me in love with scooters, and upgraded to 10x 23ah last year, all your advice and videos have been helpful and easy to follow, only minor maintenance during a period of 2000 kilometers of riding in wet and cold weather of Scandinavia, without riding in heavy rain of course. :)
sorry to be so off topic but does any of you know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost the password. I love any tricks you can give me.
Thanks on wery good explanation of batery droping. I'm interested is scooter goo litle slower in winter I both it 1month ago and I liwe in EU so my Vsett has to goo 40minimim and hee is going 36 max is it cos of wery cold temperatures it has been 4°-0° Celsius. Please answer if you cant cos I don't know. Thank you.
Yes it’s because of the cold temperature which causes the battery to have lower performance and the motor to be slower. You can try to warm up the battery first
I was looking at getting the 11x to commute to work, about 10 miles a day. Will the the 11x last a long time doing that? Also what if you are riding and then it just starts raining hard?
I face this problem right now in Greece at - 6 C° . I can`t bring the e-scooter into the house, I have no heating element, but the insulation could probably help to retain the heat the battery is generating under low load at the beginning.
Temperature tests are too light for batteries xD. I ride my EUC in -15 -25 degrees celcius for many hours, and its all ok, the only thing to remember is not to stand in one place for too long (more than 30 minutes maybe). The difference with e-scooter is that it's shell is made from metal, and it cools faster, than plastic EUC shell. So, there is a reason to add at least one insulating layer, like neoprene. But heaters are not needed, battery heats up by itself while under load.
The heaters are for the initial part where if you don’t use heaters, the voltage sag in the beginning is going to be too drastic. We recommend the heaters to be switch on off using thermostats so that the heaters can be turned off when the temp reaches 25C
Would it not be true to suggest that the most winter drivers will begin their journey from home, where presumably the home is at a good ambient temperature? What I mean is that although it may be cold outside (we regularly get little more than 12 degrees C here in the summer, never mind in winter!), the battery and whole EUC or scooter would normally be brought outside from the minimum 20-21°C warm environment within the house, where the whole unit would have reached such a temperature. I do not advocate leaving the vehicle with battery in the cold in a garage, but it would be possible to keep the vehicle in a suitable dedicated ‘warm and fireproof cabinet’ in the garage if one was concerned about having the vehicle inside the family home in case of fire. My own EUC has a neoprene cover, and given that the whole unit is kept inside at 21° C or so, even allowing for windchill on a cold and frosty morning, the mass of the whole EUC would not suddenly become sub-zero in temperature, it would be quite insulated. I guess the takeaway is to start from a warm place, do your best to try to have the battery compartment insulated from the effects of the cold, and keep going until you get either back again, or to your destination, hopefully another warm place! Just waiting for my Vsett 10+ to arrive, but loving my MSP HS EUC!

That’s the best reward for us that you give your scooters some TLC once in a while:)

@Shawn Trace instablaster ;)
Hi
I wanna ask u, What is the range of the scooter when driving in extreme cold?
@@AhmedAhmed-fk6ri In the winter cold between -1c to -5c i get around 30km to 25km respectively on 23ah Zero 10x.
I store in room temperature garage.

could you please link the heating element you used.

Hello the 11X can handle 10 miles a day no problem. If it rains hard it is best to find shelter. For your safety and for the scooters safety.

Use the insulation wrap
whats the name of the heating element?

What is the cutoff for a 52v 23ah battery that's in my Z10x
About 42V but it depends on the temperature. If temp is too Low then abit of current draw will result in the voltage sag below the threashold.
@@FalconpevSg thanks for the quick response guys👍👊
@@Maltmeister1 how about 60v 20ah?
My scooter died while riding what can it be? Battery shows voltage on ignition meter.
How old is your battery

So this is basically telling us the cold drasticaly reduces the capabilities of these batteries?
Yes
