    Yamaha set the standard bringing 4t ... They fell off the planet until 2014.... Now it's such a great all round bike!

    I had a yz around 1986... You had to sit high on the bike because it wanted to lift all the time! Fun times.

    Anyone else notice the four shapes underneath “Yamaha” on the shrouds from the ttr days? Little throwback

    Great review! My 15 Yz250f is getting a little long in the tooth. Can't wait to throw a leg over a 19. I'm a 50yr old gear high guy.so if the aggressive map still give you that bottom grunt, I'm in!

      Think you commented on the wrong page. Yamaha are army tanks. Better find that Honda or ktm page with all that breaking stuff

      jeff stuart lol trash bro. Trash.

    • @jeffstuart4424
      @jeffstuart4424 6 років тому +4

      Had 3! 04 250f had 10 years never did anything to it! 01 yz125 had it 2 years never did anything to it, got stolen! Now got a 17 Yz450f haven't touched anything and its still stock after a year and a half. You talk to any expert and Yamaha is known for durability! Might not always be the best race bike but nobody comes close to durability. Ktm is complete trash. Them or Suzuki are worst bikes. Honda I've just never had luck or my friends. Something was always breaking but other people swear by them

    • @mxgryan
      @mxgryan 6 років тому +1

      jeff stuart I definitely agree with you, the old Yamaha design was super durable. That 5 valve setup was far of it's time in reliability. These new ones however, are not nearly as tough. We've seen lots of premature cranks failing especially in the 10-13 models.

      jeff stuart my father has a 01 yz250 2 stroke. He raced for 7 years didn’t rebuild it once to this day. Thing somehow still rips. It's got to have at least 400 hours on it
