      @@megarahrtbclubare you in a stress environment, home/work or it could be your water, try putting filters on the pipe you use to was your face and hair and see. I went to england and stayed 2yrs, when I tell you my beautiful skin broke out and nothing could help me until I came back home and in less than one month my face cleared up completely, found out it was the water. That was years ago. A few years ago I started to have terrible breakout again and nothing over the shelf or the doctor was helping me, I was living under extreme stress at a family home. I moved and in no time my face has been clean and clear again.

    Something I've learned recently and I'd like to share. The weather also has an impact on your skin and skincare. I never knew this and never heard anyone talk about it. I have oily skin and even the lightest water gel moisturizers that don't have pore clogging ingredient makes my skin oilier. I live in a very humid city. I tried just using a hydrating lightweight cleanser for the AM and use it couple of times a day without a moisturizer and my skin got so much better. Pretty much listen to what your skin needs. More or less of a product and is it in the AM or PM.

For removing sunscreen, impurities, excess sebum, and I find that it also helps with balancing skin oils and keeps my face more with a healthy shiny/moisture. Yes it’s great 😍 But with low porosity hair, there's a bit of debate. This hair type doesn't absorb moisture easily, so coconut oil can sometimes just sit on top, causing buildup instead of helping. Some people with low porosity hair use it sparingly, while others skip it. It’s all about finding what works for your hair! For oily skin, it's best to use a water-based sunscreen. Oil-based sunscreens can feel heavier and may clog your pores, leading to breakouts. Water-based formulas are lighter, absorb easily, and help keep your skin matte while still providing protection. You can also opt for formulas labeled "non-comedogenic" to avoid clogging your pores.💖🫶🏻

    • @BeautyTheoryOfficial
      @BeautyTheoryOfficial  4 місяці тому

      Even if you're mostly at home, it's still advisable to apply sunscreen daily. UV rays can penetrate windows, and daily exposure can contribute to skin damage and dark spots over time. If you're using products that increase your skin's sensitivity, like niacinamide or other treatments, wearing sunscreen can help protect your skin even when you're indoors. Consider a lightweight, non-comedogenic sunscreen to keep your routine effective without feeling heavy 💖

    i have dry skin and every time i use a cleanser it makes my skin break out, is there anything to prevent this/more gentle cleansers you would recommend?

    • @vironia
      @vironia 6 місяців тому

      If you're breaking out with a cleanser then your skin is likely sensitive to certain harsher surfactants in it. Some harsh cleansers will damage your skin barrier, so your skin loses the ability to keep up the moisture. The imbalance now can make your skin go very dry, and/or oily because your skin is trying to compensate the dryness by producing more oils, which can cause breakouts.
      Anyway, I dont know where you live or what your budget is like, but for your next cleanser, do try reading the ingredient label (ignore the packaging or marketing words even if it says "gentle"), and make sure it does NOT contain sulfates, parabens AND fragrances.
      Another method for you is not to use a traditional cleanser meanwhile, but to clean your skin with micellar water on a cotton pad. Then to combat dryness, keep a rose water spray around and mist your face. If you're breaking out that easily, your goal would be to restore your skin's lipid barrier - and your body is a wonderful machine that will do that in time. To speed it up, get adequate sleep, hydration, vitamin C and zinc. Good luck!
