This is a good lesson for you. Never take over someone's work. You will always get fudged

I bill by the hour and I told them I didn't know what was touched and there may be other issues.

I learned a lesson on a timing belt replacement/water-pump service which un-be known to me was done by a very inexperienced mechanic. He did not have a clue and almost destroyed my engine. I had to have a second timing belt and water pump service done at the Honda stealership. Never again, I now only use independent ASE Master techs to repair my late model Accord...

He had a medical issue alright. He shit his pants when he couldn't get it started. He was like I best have a heart attack and get the fuck out this. I'm in over my head. 😂😂

Well I wasn't there so I don't want to say anything too negative. I'm just glad I got it running.

I had installed a NTK/NGK Spool valve (back of head) on a customer's car. Coul dnever get it to seal up leaked oil through 3 gaskets. Got OEM and the O ring groove was 9 thousandths deeper on OEM

I see that a lot on a lot of parts. Dealer parts are usually made way better.

This went bad real quick. Probably had a friend who does it much cheaper than the professional shop.

Some cars the old white out marks will work on and some it will not.

That is true but they created more issues then they fixed when they attempted this.

You never had to buy a new camshaft all you was to do is lock the actuator properly on the old camshaft

I appreciate the feedback, but how would I be able to time it correctly with the alignment pin pressed into the camshaft?
