Why are there so many nice properties being sold for decent prices in Maine? What's really going on? If the children's vaccine laws were different I'd love to live there.
Real estate in Maine has always been underpriced compared to the rest of New England, mostly because the state is still heavily forested and the population is low. That is especially the case in northern Maine.

How often does the snow plow clear the roads in Winter? And what are the Nor’Easters like in that area? If Winter is the longest season that would be good to know.
Maine is well equiped for removing snow from our roads. NorEasters are not that common but when we get them we usually get snow. A 12 inch snow storm here is not uncommon but does not shut our world down like it would in most states. Most of us who choose to live here, enjoy the winter for its piece and quiet and winter sports.

The depth of the well is 90 feet, and has provided ample water for the home even in a dry summer.
At 31:38 it looks like a ghost face in the wall!

Not sure what the well depth is. I do know it is relatively shallow. It has a shallow well pump located in the basement for pumping the water from the well. Best guess about 45-50 feet of depth. Has provided ample water during the 30+ years my client lived there.
The seller just informed me that when they drilled the well they struck water at 30 feet, and drilled an additional 60 feet. The overall depth is 90 feet, and has provided plenty of water even in a dry season.
@Sarah k if you’re not self-sufficient enough to rewind to find the info, a farm in Northern Maine is probably not for you 😂

It is a shallow well. No idea what the GPM is.
The seller informed me that when they drilled the well they struck water at 30 feet and continued to drill down to a depth of 90 feet. No idea what the GPM is, but the well has provided plenty of water for the home even in a dry summer.
Nice land. Buildings need lots of work for that price point though.

It is a 3/4 ton truck and rides pretty stiff without a load in the back. I have lots of things in the cab with me that are useful in my line of wor, so they bang around a bit.
