I come from Australia and I just love Maine. It's such a beautiful and peaceful looking place. If I had a choice to live anywhere, I would choose Maine.
I live in Lincoln County and I have always dreamed of a homestead like this in northern Maine. Here on the coast it's to touristy for me. What a gem this homestead is!
That machine shop reminded me of my dad's! I almost cried bc he did it as a hobby too.. we all miss him and I'm glad my curiosity brought me here today.
This is a great deal for the price! Wow!!! Awesome. Great video :) you could build homes and walls and all kinds of stuff with the rocks from the fields! How cool ! I saw a couple houses over 150 yrs old in Illinois that were built from rocks from the lake up there and maybe the farmland.
Hello Rick! Love this place. My husband and I were wishing we were rich the entire time we were watching this video. He loved the barn and shop area. We were talking about what we would or could do with all of it. Oh well. Maybe I'll win the lottery?!
Beautiful area!! I would have loved to moved there when i was younger!! And get all set before the winter!! When i would read stories about Maine it sounded like a good place to live! Canada would be good also i think but only thing is winter!!
Wow that’s a nice property! I lived in East Boothbay Maine for 4 yrs. moved to fla. Temporarily and I got stuck here. Would love to move back to Maine.
How often does the snow plow clear the roads in Winter? And what are the Nor’Easters like in that area? If Winter is the longest season that would be good to know.
Maine is well equiped for removing snow from our roads. NorEasters are not that common but when we get them we usually get snow. A 12 inch snow storm here is not uncommon but does not shut our world down like it would in most states. Most of us who choose to live here, enjoy the winter for its piece and quiet and winter sports.
Hi George from Colorado. Looking to lease cabin on pond for May 2023 to middle of June. We are seeing if it is possible to purchase but want to be there for big season and mud season.
Main’ah here. Ft Kent beautiful area and IF Frikkin Canada reopens without Jab restrictions its a nice drive over. Great video of Property. Tad high on price, make an offa folks. btw If you speak French great place to use it. Lovely people.
The land is ag land the portion that is being farmed and the open area that is grass land. The remainder is enrolled in Tree Growth, with a current plan in place and a tremendous stocking of merchantible timber.
I use to visit people in st Francis (next door to the big town office) . Don't blink your eyes... Town disappears... Lol... It is pretty there but.....
Not sure what the well depth is. I do know it is relatively shallow. It has a shallow well pump located in the basement for pumping the water from the well. Best guess about 45-50 feet of depth. Has provided ample water during the 30+ years my client lived there.
The seller just informed me that when they drilled the well they struck water at 30 feet, and drilled an additional 60 feet. The overall depth is 90 feet, and has provided plenty of water even in a dry season.
Don’t go there if you’re young and ambitious… absolutely no chance to better yourself or achieve any dreams you might have… most of Maine north of Bangor is the same.
How do I make an offer I'm looking for a vacation home I currently nhave a log home in evergreen coloradi and beach home in key largo Florida looking for somthin up that way as well I bet the fall is nice up their
Why are there so many nice properties being sold for decent prices in Maine? What's really going on? If the children's vaccine laws were different I'd love to live there.
Real estate in Maine has always been underpriced compared to the rest of New England, mostly because the state is still heavily forested and the population is low. That is especially the case in northern Maine.
The seller informed me that when they drilled the well they struck water at 30 feet and continued to drill down to a depth of 90 feet. No idea what the GPM is, but the well has provided plenty of water for the home even in a dry summer.
A wonderful introduction..... Anyone who's from another country such as I am from Pakistan can purchase the property in USA or not , to settle down there? Or according to your state laws...
You will need to discuss that with an attorney who handles international sales to inquire about how much time you can be here without as a foriegn owner of real estate.
I’m poor compared to what you’re showing, but if you have a property or up to 3 acres land on a lake or river for under $50,000 yeah right, I know, lol, but IF you do please respond. Ty! I’m in Indiana I’m 55 and we’re retired.
I guess it depends on your idea of a lot of work. The bedroom area in the main house is largely unfinished. Lets see put a floor down and finish the walls. Sounds like a weekend project to me.
I wish so bad I could buy that place but I'll never be able too,so,it's nice to watch your videos so I can day dream about what I would do there. 1.Cater to winter sports, snowmobiling repair, eats, lodging if needed, rent out for hunting, grow my own medical marijuana, grow sweet corn, potatoes, etc,,make my wood, and metal toys, continue coin hunting for old coins.
It is a 3/4 ton truck and rides pretty stiff without a load in the back. I have lots of things in the cab with me that are useful in my line of wor, so they bang around a bit.
Nice place. But a little advice, please get rid of the bottles or whatever else is rattling. That is so annoying and takes away from what you are saying
OOhhh how I wish I could. needs some work but would be worth it, ... maybe when I win the lotto. Oh wait ...are there any crypto's around? like big foot or dogmen or other such creatures? They tend to hang around in wooded areas, [so I've heard].

425 is doable and a steal for all that, really. Where there's a will, there's a way. You could always pull in investors.

Is the property agricultural status already?
Is there water wells on property?
If not what is current cost of putting water well in that area?
There is a well that provides water for the home.
The land is ag land the portion that is being farmed and the open area that is grass land. The remainder is enrolled in Tree Growth, with a current plan in place and a tremendous stocking of merchantible timber.
The depth of the well is 90 feet, and has provided ample water for the home even in a dry summer.

@Sarah k if you’re not self-sufficient enough to rewind to find the info, a farm in Northern Maine is probably not for you 😂

Would the seller be interested in a partial trade for property in CA or NM?
