AC12 starts. They know what they have in Minshew as the backup. AC12 has a lot to prove but in the end he gets it done. Most improved player on the roster..
O'Connell's arm strength and accuracy are better suited for the weapons on the offense.
If Minshew wins out it will be because of a bad performance from O'Connell.
I only see O'Connell improving though. Not regressing in year 2.
Minshew is a solid backup if Aiden goes down.
It's a different offense with Minshew though. His deep ball isn't the same as O'Connell.
That means defenses can stack the box and bracket recievers.
Aiden should win the job because of his skill set but we'll see.

Aiden is taller and a more accurate passer. All the film showed me that from OTA's. Last year he was below average in the pocket, pocket awareness and not a scrambler. This is what he was reported to have worked on the off season. Gardner has charisma and he is a scrambling play maker. So...1. If the offensive line is good than Aiden is the favorite. If the offensive line sucks Gardner will end up with the job. 2. If the new O coordinators offense prefers a drop back than look for Aiden. If it needs a scrambler look at Gardner. When Chicago blew us out ( thats our O Coordinators old team) they ran the ball and the QB scrambled, rolled out and it broke us down completely

I think AP is going to ride with AC12 the entire year whether or not he plays good or bad. They have got to let him learn how to lose and how to win in this league. It takes these new QBs a couple years to develop sometimes. I don’t think they are so quick to pull the rip line if he struggles the first couple games. He needs every opportunity to prove if he’s our franchise guy or a back up. Minshew ain’t going anywhere so there’s no real rush to thrust him in there until they know for sure AC12 is NOT the guy..

O'Connor will start the Season But his backup is no good.
He fumbled the ball too much.
And he overthrow his receivers.
That is the main concern with Minshew is the accuracy issues. I do think Aidan O’Connell’s accuracy will improve this season since he’ll have a full off season throwing to the #1’s.

If Aiden O'Connell starts and gets taken out because he's awful.... There will be zero trade value for him. Zero. He needs to sit behind somebody who knows what they're doing and watch..... The best thing for Aiden O'Connell is to sit on the bench till week 7 or 8 or nine. He needs to learn how to play football like a professional by watching someone else. Someone who knows how to read a defense and audible at the line of scrimmage and roll and move in the pocket and be confident enough to make a decision and enough time to not take seven sacks or throw the ball away six times a game. Y'all love Aidan O'Connell's highlight reel why don't you just go watch one game of him. He's just not a good quarterback.
