I’m kind of new to Sonny and I’ve only ever seen him play: A. With a Strat, and. B. Without a slide! Kind of trippy to see his pinky actually bend haha!
Saw them both at Big Top Chetauqua in northern Wisconsin a couple years ago .Sonny was doing the guitar work in John's band for the whole concert. At the end of the show John let Sonny do a couple of his own tunes. This song was the high point of the show for me.
My favorite singer.
Honestlt, it is nice to hear Sonny without the slide. That les paul sounds good!
YES ! It's MIXED !!
Well looking at "History " right there !!!
How Sonny is not a bigger name is beyond belief. One of the best slide players alive.
It’s crazy. I’m so used to seeing Landreth as top dog. When Hiatt shows up it’s a different story!
he has played lead for john for many years
Sonny is awesome 🎸🎶🎸

Yeah seen the Slow Turning reunion tour a few years back. He played a Strat without Slide on Congo Square. It was different, but Awesome

Ok
Derek Trucks and Sonny do the best version of this imo..
I agree
Sonny Landreth w/ a Les Paul in his hands… one of the greatest sights I’ve seen! 😊
Only be better if it's a "Gibson Firebird, Dumble too!" 🤘
I met both guys. Went to same high school as sonny . Cool people. Buy all their damn records. Hiatt has like 27 albums out 😊
