Here I was complaining about all these 15 minute videos with a 20 minute introduction. You gave me options after option in less than 2 minutes. I appreciate you!
I tried your tip pulling the braids up and then the a scarf . Wow it worked well. Last night I got the best sleep I have had in 2 weeks, because of you. Thanks again so much!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. The very last one did it for me because BAAABEEE I have been struggling a little bit. First time out of my 51 years of life that I got some proffesional braids done. I have been doing this method but I have been I have been wearing a doo rag to cover the bun and my hair. Which is helping but I think since I sweat in my hair that they nylon from the doo rag isn't helping and causing a little frizziness, so I'm gonna start using my scarf. Thank you so much sis. Glad you could help.
Thanks so much. Gonna try the wrap routine. Had to call out sick yesterday because I woke with a massive migraine. I've used the extra long bonnet for braids and it ends up being too much weight on my neck. Hopefully the wrap routine will work for me. Again, thanks
Oh my goodness, I hope your head is feeling better!!!!! I definitely get what you’re saying about the heaviness of the braids. Please let me know how the wrapping method works out for you 🤞🏾
When did the pressure start to loosen up? I just got mine 3 days ago and the tugging is still so extremely painful I'm already wanting to take them out but they are so pretty I want to hang in there hoping it will get better soon
I feel like you put me on the spot lol...I can't sleep with nothing on my head causes a headache, and if for some reason I do put one on I end up waking up with it next to me -____- .....so I just gave up and buy satin or silk pillow cases 🙃
Great video. I don't usually have box braids, and I need these to stay in, look fresh, and feel comfortable, until the beginning of September, hence my search for videos like this. Many thanks 👏🏾
You're so welcome and thank you for watching ❤ What's your usual style? You definitely can stretch them out with maintenance and just making sure your scalp doesn't get too caked up!
Very helpful content! Thank you. Question: any suggestions on how to avoid neck aches from just the additional weight of the box braids?(Outside of..."girl, then don't put braids in!😅 or neck massages) any suggestions would be appreciated. I usually do the silk press wrap with my braids but my neck usually aches sporadically.🥴 Help!😅
I'm not too sure but for me I normally try to avoid having all my hair in one place. So put maybe half the hair to the front like on the shoulders and half behind in order to create a 'balance' so that it isn't so weighty meaning less pressure 😊
just tried the wrap with the bonnet method and if worked!! i got my box braids done 2 days ago and i need to get wrapping them up yass so happy it worked
I just got box braids for the first time 3 days ago, how long does it take before they start to loosen up so I can start wrapping them up high without it pulling so badly? They are so painful right now 😢
Also, you might have a tener head. Muy básica were tough for about a week. I actually had to use Ibuprofen a couple of days. It got better after though. And yes, your beside might have also braided them too tight
I think it may be because your braids aren’t knotless. The braids with the knots do hurt like hell. It mostly just takes time for them to loosen. However there are some vids on UA-cam that may help. Love and light to you hun 🤗
Aw what's wrong?? The good thing about bob braids is that they're shorter, so you can fit them in a regular bonnet. I'd put on your scarf and then just put on your bonnet like usual!
Ah gotchu 😩 I’m sorry that sounds really uncomfortable! Try wearing your hair out of your face in half up/half down ponytail styles or maybe even some cute headbands! That way your hair is out of your face. For nighttime I’d use a satin scarf as a headband and then put your bonnet on. Hope this helps 😬
Thank you for this very helpful! I hope you know Jesus lobes you and even has a plan for you if willign to walk in allignment to his will for your life. God bless you!
Now that you know how to sleep with them, here's how you can maintain your box braids for at least a month ua-cam.com/video/10orE6s5uHc/v-deo.html

You are so welcome! Lol, i know the introductions can get windy 😂
Don't understand why this video isn't more popular. This was a life saver for me. Wish i could keep this forever!!!
I’m so glad you liked it!!! As long as it helps, it doesn’t have to be popular 🤗 Thank you so much for watching and commenting 🥰❤️

LOL 🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad to hear you have a silk/satin pillow case tho!
Thanks so much!!! The silk press wrap worked perfectly 😩 I just got my hair done earlier and needed a quick solution for putting my hair up haha
You’re so welcome! That’s my favorite method 🤗 Yes fresh braids!!! I hope you enjoy your style.❤️

she a pro!you can tell from the way she is holding the hair
I literally have mine wrapped and it makes them so much more comfy to sleep on
Thank you, I was wondering how to get a good night sleep with these braids on my back! Love your videos 👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much for all these options! I used the last one and slept amazing!
Thanks so much. I just got new box braids 2 weeks ago and have not been able to sleep comfortably. I will try your last example for sure.
You’re welcome Marie, let me know how it works for you!
Shout out to you. You gave me comfort sleep.
Thank you for keeping it short and simple, and to the point 🙏🙏

Honestly the only thing I can recommend is doing knotless box braids rather than regular box braids because they're less hair and less tension!
@@jaichanellie Thank you!🥰

Beautiful and helpful tips!
This really helped me. I have long box braids & I used the twist cross method with my bonnet. Thanks for sharing!!!!
You’re so welcome, the criss cross method is my fave!

They should never be that painful, tbh. Your braider either braided too tight or your hair may not be conducive to box braids...
Also, you might have a tener head. Muy básica were tough for about a week. I actually had to use Ibuprofen a couple of days. It got better after though. And yes, your beside might have also braided them too tight

What if you have Bob braids? I just got Bob braids yesterday and I’m not feeling too good 😫
Aw what's wrong?? The good thing about bob braids is that they're shorter, so you can fit them in a regular bonnet. I'd put on your scarf and then just put on your bonnet like usual!
@@jaichanellie The problem is that my braider charred the ends and so they keep poking my neck and my face and they’re really tight at the moment

Thank you Kelly, I’m glad to hear it!!
Thank god I found this vidoe
Happy to help!
I’m hair is fresh and you expect me to raise it and twist… that’s going to hurt asf
Lol hopefully your braids aren’t that tight because that’s not good for your hair! But after a few days they should start to loosen up
Great video 😊

I came back 4 months later 😂❤️😂 with braids now… and now that they are wrapped up I can go to sleep comfortably thank you again
Is it better to use silk or satin?
Not sure, I’ve never used silk before!
Is it bad that I just put my hair in a bonnet and call it a night?
Nope that's fine! Especially if you're not noticing a whole bunch of frizz the next day
@@jaichanellie Oh okay thank you!
You’re welcome 🤗
@@jaichanellie is it also okay if you just stuff the hair in their (knot less braids)?😅
Same answer! If it’s not causing you a whole bunch of frizz or making your braids look older faster then it’s probably fine
don’t all of these just fall off🥹🥹

This comment just reminded me to wear my retainer 😭
