Wow, Diana was defeated and held captive by Bats to bait Supes. After that, she sacrificed her lasso and her youth to help him fight back. All that for a guy who didn't even care to ask of her well-being.

This is for me the best batman vs superman battle ever, probably better that TDKR, It seems mire legit for Batman to create solar lamps to depower Superman, than to him to use the same silly kryptonite plot. Besides the fight seems more fair , batman with his human qualities vs superman at the peak strenght of a human, it shows how Supes rely to much in his power and how without them, he would mean nothing of a threat for Barman...

I loved the way this part changed in the new movie. Wonder Woman is not persuaded but decides to act by her own initiative, and not precisely to save superman, but to try to avoid complete caos in the world.
I liked that part in the movie too, but Batman warning Wonder Woman of Superman using her was a nice part that they cut out of the movie.
too bad that everything else about Wonder Woman in the animated film was unnecessarily changed

He is alive somehow and doing well. He even gives the golden age Robin the push he needed to become the Batman of pre crisis,golden age earth 2.

How did superman looses his power instantly by solar lamps. Superman should have reserves from the sun. It’s stored in his body. Also since kryptonian gravity is really harsh so superman is a big humanoid and has denser tissues and bones due to immense gravity on krypton. Just asking ??

In original, initial concept by Siegel Superman was supposed to be child from future Earth sent into the past. "We" evolved and that's why Superman had physical strength, etc. There are few panels drawn by Russell Keaton on that.
Then after official release and being changed to alien initially only explanation for his powers was that 1) people of Krypton (" kryptonians " was made up later) were "race of supermen" and could jump high and run very fast and survive building collapsing on them even back on Krypton 2) Earth has lower gravity.
Then, in unpublished story K Metal from Planet Krypton Siegel did additional explanation that it was planet itself powering all its people, and then after it blew up and connection with it was severed for Kal-L (not Kal-El) its fragments started to affect him opposite way but people of Earth it made stronger (back then people of Earth = people of Krypton = humans) .
Whole yellow and red son came later on, from writer Otto Binder, who also did lots of comics on Captain Marvel (govt.name : Shazam) .
This comic combined future Earth origin with sun radiation being source for powers.
I don't know about that. There's an old saying about how absolute power corrupts absolutely. And Superman's pretty fucking powerful.

Fucking Superman manipulated Wonder Woman. The lasso was a gift from her great grand mother Gaea and forged by Greek god Hephaestus. Breaking that gift caused her to received the punishment of losing her powers. Batman should have won this match if Superman wasn’t so helpless.

The lasso is said to be her one weakness originally and due to its magic if she broke it it'd mostl likely cause her slow but eventual death

Fight between Batman and Superman was really cool, but then Wonder Woman had to go and break from the lasso.
At 2:05, the video is similar to the Baroness episode of the Wonder Woman TV series in which the Baroness captures Wonder Woman and orders her henchman to tie her to a chair with heavy iron chains. In both stories, we think that Wonder Woman is helpless because she's bound by a man until she easily escapes. On the TV show, it is revealed in the next episode that Wonder Woman becomes helpless when her magic belt is removed

Well, Superman in this story was a corrupt Russian general, who apparently did not learn his kryptonian martial arts, his boxing skills, and pressure points. So canon Superman is actually a pretty good fighter without powers.

Red son radiation will do jack shit to superman, there is no logic to this. Superman is a battery with Infinite capacity, a yellow sun is a normal charger that keeps charging him, a blue sun is a super charger that chargers him at a multitude level and a red son is a poor charge that does not provide him with more energy than he already burns to live. Thus when exposed to red sunlight he should stay at his current power level and start depleting his reserves, which can take years depending on how he uses his powers. It's such a cheap writing having red sun immediately strip him from his powers.

How come we don't see elseworlds stories where Batman goes insane and kills a bunch of people? That's never written about because it's entirely plausible. Batman's already incredibly dark, and is very unstable psychologically. Superman is none of those things. That's why it holds so much weight when he turns evil.
