- I'm back with an updated Day-in-the-Life...this time, as a 2L! I tried to make this video a bit more informative than the last one by answering a few questions regarding the application process, studying tips, and classes at UCLA Law. Also! I get to show you the actual campus and what my lectures are like.

Thanks for this video and I hope you had/are having a good finals season. I was recently admitted to UCLA Law and am a USC undergrad who is interested in attending. I was wondering what car ownership is like as a UCLA Law student? I don't have one now and have felt really cooped up in the USC area. Is parking easy at UCLA? How far do you commute, did you commute as a 1L, and if you did, did it put pressure on you academically?
Generally, I recommend having a car in LA. However, I think not having a car is totally okay as long as you live close to campus (~10 min. away) or have a friend/housemate who has a car. I have many friends who make it work!
I lived around 15-30 min. from school and during my first semester, I commuted by bus. It was mostly okay but I didn't like that it was often late (thus making me late to class) and at night, during rush hour, it would take me almost an hour to get home.
