- It's very rare that I actually get to fish a NEW SPILLWAY... Like I've said, I've pretty much violated ever juan of them in a 3 hour radius... But, thanks to a couple buds, I came across this hidden gem out in the middle of nowheresville, and it DID NOT disappoint... PAAA POWWW!!!

Can't figure out how to post a picture of my fish but anyways I found a spillway that holds around 30,40 monster carp! It's not deep, you can see the fish accept whatever they start rolling and digging for food then the water gets cloudy but soon clears up. I've managed to land and hold 8 carp with the smallest being 18.07lbs and the biggest being 34.01lbs. with 8lb monofilament on a Lew's light action spin combo and I let them go, well I transported 4 to my pond one of which was the giant 34 pounder! Just wish I could figure out how to show you the pictures. Rock on brother. Keep on keeping on!

My biggest fish was a buffalo carp when I was a kid my dad said it was 44 lbs, caught it down by plattesmouth where the Platte meets the Missouri.

You definitely need to fish that spot with a bullhead for some big ole flatheads. Also try using a zoom super fluke or fluke Jr weightless. Throw it to the edge of the spillway let it drift down in the creek with a couple twitches here and there. My favorite color to use is called crazy chrome and it looks great in the water. I hope you slay them next time Shache Man.
You traveled south Josh. I grew up fishing .5 miles south of it! There is a ton of concrete chunks and rebar in the middle. That is what you are getting rapped in. The next one south is good also. Fish the south west side. I know that whole body of water like the feel of my hand.

Once again I'm going to comment this again. FLAT 75X & CRUSH 50X!!! Shad craft flat 75x. Shad streaker crush 50x you will be surprise. What lives around spillways like this. Provoke 106x in hickory shad is a killer too but also snags random dinosaur fish lol
I'll get some square bills going! The problem with this spot is, no white bass, no walleye, no bass in general so.. Likely gunna end up snagging most the fish! And the water is too poppy for the provoke 😂

Hatchery raised trout love corn here in Georgia. We call it trout crack. Check it out when they stock your local area and you're out catching them for bait.

Lineweber lives there. Dude has another house on a dam downriver from there. We used to have to fish from that wall and hope you could get the fish up. The new landowners don't seem to care about people fishing down there now

That spillway looks awesome and even a 10lber would be difficult to land with the rocks and current and whatnot. I hate fishing really heavy line but you might have to upgrade to 25 or 30 lb test there. I have really grown to enjoy your channel btw thanks.
Love the vides man I don't have any spillways around where I'm from in the desert but I do have canals caught a 30 lb carp on four kernels of corn on a size 2 hook 15 lb line test medium heavy rod that was a fight I will not forget

The first time I caught a buffalo. I didn't know what it was. It was huge. I caught it on a Lew's Speed Stick baitcaster ultralight with 6 lb test on it. 47 lb Buffalo and I said look at the lips on that thing, it looks like two footlong hot dogs. That's the only one I've ever caught. My buddy down the street that used to own the bait shop Vans Sporting Goods modeling it up on his wall and has it in the sporting good store. It's still hanging in there. You can see it through the window, but they've been closed for a lot of years. I'd like to get it back off of them.

Do a catch and cook with Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix. Batter the boneless/skinless fillets in that. Its my families delicacy.
We Fry bass, perch, crappie, walleye, bluegill, pike, catfish and it makes stocker trout taste way better. My friends and family always beg me for a fish fry.
Its worth the time to me to sit there for 8 hours and fillet five-hundred 4" inch perch that are so small that it looks like its not worth the time and effort for the amount of meat you get but it is.
People think i am crazy when i go fill a bucket up with little tiny 4-5 in perch and bluegills. I'm like bruh wait until you try the way i cook it and you will understand why i keep so many little tiny fish the size of my finger.
Mix some ketchup and mayonnaise (or Miracle whip) together and you have bomb dipping sauce. Try my families secret fried fish recipe you WILL NEVER use another type Of batter. Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix is the SHIZZNIT!!!!
I think it’s a smallmouth Buff, the Bigmouths are usually a little darker colored and all buffaloes are boney as hell, they got a lot of tiny “Y” bones and sht that run all through the meat. And like someone else said, Buffalo are kin to suckers or a type of sucker.
Should try that moss for bait!! Bobber 3ft deep!!!

You don’t have to farm night crawlers you can water your yard in the afternoon and go out at like midnight with a flashlight and pick them by hand that’s how I get all my crawlers 👍🏻
I used to catch so many in my backyard. Keep em in a big plastic tote with dirt and shredded news paper in the basement where it was cooler. Sold em $1 a dozen in front of my house when I was 10 years old.

I finally caught two decent sized bullheads about 3 maybe 4 weeks ago using cut bait and bottom fishing at about a depth of 16ft at 3 in the morning lol 😆 but it was definitely worth it haha
