Will, first thing first, I always say to people it’s your money that bought your kit, paints, tools etc, who gives a flying one what other people think of your model if your happy that should be good enough... and Will same goes for you here this build like YOU say has been a love affair from the get go ! We can tell that to by the way you have built her up to this wonderful model/work of art. I truly wish I had 1/3rd of your ability with all your dexterity problems you churn out work like this consistently and it’s beautiful work my friend... beautiful work ! I learn SO much from you, you always answer any questions I have even the dumb ones with sincerity, you’ve never shown me anything but... well just you try your best to dumb shit down for me so I eventually get what your trying to get across to me. I know it’s a hard thing for you to do as your extremely busy but I just want you to know I appreciate all your help. I have been watching this build closely as I have two Tamiya 1/32nd Spitfires MkIXc and MkVIII I know there not this particular aircraft and that you have plenty of Spitfire videos on your channel but almost all of this build I can use for my Spitfires. So I end by saying thank you very much for this build, thank you for having a great channel and the time you put into it, but please DON’T let the bigoted few get you down, never let the B’stards grind you down. Whatever you decide to do next I wish you every success with and can’t wait to find out what it’s going to be. You take care of yourself, stay safe and happy modelling to you, Kenny 😃👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I've always been a subscriber to the idea of building for yourself and if someone wants to always call out others on accuracy, colors, markings, etc. they should show us their perfect builds. Love your build, we'll done. Hope you find another love affair so we all can enjoy it as much as this one!!!
Hello Will. I am very versed in the P-40, and you are absolutely right about Curtiss. There were so many things from one variant of the P-40 carried over to later variants, that it's hard to say one model or another did, or didn't have a specific feature. Mainly because different variants were being produced an the same time. They didn't just cease production of one and go to the next, they just up what they had until it was gone. Your P-40 is top notch, and kick ass! Keep it up brother!
Absolutely amazing work. Don't mind the rivet counters. Unless you are commissioned by a museum to make a historically accurate model, build it however you like. You're the one looking at it on your shelf, you're the one putting in the time and effort. Make it yours.
Wow! Magnificent end product for all that hard work. We are fortunate that you are a much more than competent photographer to enable us to appreciate fully your magnificent brushwork. The whole airframe is wonderfully rendered but my personal standouts are the fuel tank and the authentic "painted on" result for the skulls. If I had a hat, I would take it off to you, sir.
Absolutely FANTASTIC work and really enjoyed following this project. Really cool you changed the skull and made yourself free to do what you wanted.! Really cool Will
Have missed you... Rewarded with a brilliant build, & vid too. Lots learnt, including English 'Visual Acuity & Specularity'...Scratch-build detail, nice. A feast of detail, colour & texture. Build info, interesting too. My sentiments towards the fly...many thanks Will P.
Bloody amazing, at about 21 minutes in you were talking about panel line moulded parts and when i looked at the model. It wasn’t a model, it looked real. Most modellers can’t get close to this in a lifetime….
Hey Will , long time .....as for the aircraft as usual it's amazing and I love the skull , and wanted to thank.you again for all the videos on the OPR , I learned alot and have been getting better in my painting. Thanks again , hope to be there Saturday ...
Will, this P-40 is just remarkable. Wish I could see it in person. The manual rotation device is a brainstorm......wonder how many will show up at Model shows.....thanks watched the whole 1:12:42. Lol
Average plastic modelling youtubers: five minute kit review, really thorough youtubers: 15 minute of tape up review .... Will Pattison: an hour and 15 minutes ... :-)
Zomby music for a modern skull. P-40 is an interesting subject and one of my favorites. This one turned out great! Maybe you'll try another one some time. Or a P-39...
Love the stand and the weathering you did on it, what a cool way to present a model. I’m surprised that there aren’t any really attractive and well designed options for doing that on the market, even without the ability to rotate.
I don't mind the rain sounds this summer, we barely got over 1 inch in three months compared to a normal foot here about 30 miles north of Minnesota. Thankfully the taps have been opened back to near normal over the last few weeks. The Warhawk looks great, I think the cleaning procedure you outlined for the guns must be pretty universal at the time as you see that all over the Pacific theater. The front of the prop looks a little too dirty, but that's my eye.
Fantastic weathering job, Will! It really looks like it was rode hard and put away wet. I enjoyed seeing your videos with regard to the 3D printed seat and all the extra amazing details you added. To be fair to Hasegawa, the original tooling for this came out in 2008, with the N model parts in 2013. The last new tooled aircraft kit they produced was their A6M5c Zero in 2016. I doubt many people noticed, as Tamiya's offering is far superior. I heard a rumor that several of the aircraft model makers went over to Fine Molds. Not sure if there is any truth to that. It's a shame that Hasegawa does not release newly tooled aircraft kits anymore, but instead re-pops older tooling with different schemes.
Beautiful build Will. Deserving of publishing/book inclusion.👍 (Don’t let those flies bug you 🤦🏻♂️ too much. Maybe some P-40 shaped flypaper?😀😀😀😀 Could you consider using a P-40 rudder pedal type shaped frame for your “rotisserie type” model stand?🤔
Will, I noticed an old Tamiya glue bottle in the video background that looks like it holds CA kicker now. If I saw that correctly, what did you clean it with prior to adding the kicker? I’d hate to use my (barely) HS level science, and create some kind of toxic gas, just to clean out a stupid bottle. Muchas gracias!
@@barpfoto I should have also asked about the attached brush in the lid. Use it once it’s off gassed as well or detach and use a glue looper to apply the CA kicker? Thanks!

A master piece. Finishing it, for me, would feel like my kids going to college. Proud, but bereft.
Great to see ya back brother. Great work and a must see vid as usual. Thanks.

Thank you for all of your great work
Borat gives this built two thumbs up, calling it "great success" and exclaiming "Hasegawaweewa!"
Amazing result and as always great entertainment.
Thank you Will
cracking build bud, should be proud over this.
Enjoyed the review of the build. I like how you made it your own.
Thanks for the video! P40 in 1/32 scale sounds really exciting.

Absolutely FANTASTIC...as always.
Quite the epic build. Congratulations!
Fantastic work. The time you invested into this build really shows. Rubegoldberg would approve of your "skyhook"

Outstanding paint work
As always a Master piece!
Looks great Will. I love how the camo scheme is “suggested” and not so well defined. I think model aircraft are way more realistic that way.

just leave it open for a day and any tet remnants will fully evaporate.

Hello, great model! I like the aging process. Good things continue to succeed. Greetings condock24
fantastic build
worth the wait
F'ing love the stand. more of that is needed in this hobby.
Thanks for the video.
Man that P-40 has been used and abused. Great job !
Beautiful
Sweet build
Oh maybe your best yet Will.
I consider myself lucky just to see this.
Quality over quantity! Or so they say... 😀
looks like a hasegawa superviser built a Gundam. that's their manual to a T and the panel lines, boom.
That fly thinks it's the main character in this movie.
