- To celebrate the official birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the British Consulate-General Hong Kong held the Queen's Birthday Party at the Consulate on Thursday 2 May 2013. The Honourable Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government, was Guest of Honour for the night. (Please note parts of the speech by Consul General Caroline Wilson was given in Cantonese.)

Let' say I have reserves about the term "Honourable Mrs Carrie Lam", but since Honorable is a relative term, it's probably true if you are comparing her with the other politicians in HK today.
Even the British consul-general uses cantonese to start her speech, why the 'chinese representative' don't use cantonese in order to respect the culture of hong kong?
