Hey John! Thanks for letting me join you on this little Tokyo tour! Was a cool concept! Your Allbirds sneakers survived! 😀 Next time shall we add a zero and do 100,000 steps? Now that's an adventure! 😄
I really enjoyed this walking episode, it was so much fun. Absolutely loved the two of you taking us along on your ‘perilous’ trail. 😊 Hopefully we will get to see more interesting uploads from both of you as a duet! 👍 Thank You so much John and Dean. And, see you guys hopefully soon in Tokyo. 🇯🇵 Love & Peace 💙✌️🇬🇧
I absolutely LOVE the under-the-tracks buildings in Tokyo. Here in the USA, we have just parking under any bridge. I would love to see a behind the scenes video on how those are designed.
still watching but im enjoying this video of you and dean walking around. i enjoy these chill strolls around tokyo the most. the brazilian food also looked really good
Wow almost one and a half hour and I missed it completely 😢 though I'm watching the replay it's not exactly the same as catching this live. Lovely walk and I love this particular neighborhood... thanks John & Dean
It’s always better live, but I think the talk and info is still valuable as we go along. I try to fill it with useful notes. Dean is always fun to have as a walking buddy.
Anyone visiting Tokyo. I highly recommend you bring your best pair of New Balances. They’re stylish yet extremely comfortable. I made the mistake of bringing a more stylish brand of shoe on my first visit. Instantly regretted. You don’t realize how much you actually walk throughout the day, blinded by the beauty of Tokyo lol. I averaged 16,000 steps / 7.5 miles of walking daily.
I feel like it’s a lot of walking at many destinations in Europe too. I averaged almost 20k steps a day in my last two trips (France and Spain) and I think it will be around the same in Japan lol. I like my Adidas ultraboosts for this amount of walking, had pain when using my Allbirds with this amount of steps.
also depends on the model of new balances. I recommend the 990v6 since it has a good mix up cushion and support but not too cushy where you feet sink and become unstable. They also look phenomenal and very very stylish. inserts will also help!
It’s one of my favourite things to do is to walk through the cities that I visit, you get to see everything you don’t get to see in a car or a bus or a train.
Enjoyable and relaxing stream despite the weather and the connection problems 😎It was nice to see Dean again and the history lesson about the bridges was quite nice too 🙂Thankfully your new white sneakers stayed clean after food droppings lol 😁Thank you for sharing guys🙂👍!!!
I did lots of walking around Tokyo in my recent trip. Actually I walked this same Yurakucho to Akihabara on the other side of the track, though I didn't stop there but continued all the way to Ueno. Also Shimbashi to Shinjuku and Ginza to Kitasenju. Racked up some 700k steps total on my trip. Got plenty of nice pictured along the way.
I was planning my first Sunday on my next Tokyo visit. Intention was to have a walk from Akhibara to Wendy's just near the Godzilla statue. Then, found your video half an hour after my planning. Thank you for showing the road I'll walk soon.
This summer that was so hot when i was visiting Tokyo, i decided to walk from Roppongi "center"? where my hotel was to Akihabara for the fun of it, a 2 hour walk. Which was not my best decision given the sweltering heat. But i really got to see all the different buildings, shops that i would never see without. Even found a Ichiran ramen shop that had barely any people in it. Walking past all the office buildings aswell with their towering might.
WHOA! I just got blinded by your shoes, John!!! I need to wear 😎 LOL! Can't wait to see the condition of your shoes at the end... So now I have to go and find a sandwich with some delicious meat in it. GAH! This channel always makes me hungry! 😂
Me too! I felt really guilty about it the whole way 😅they’re actually still fairly clean but will keep using them and see how they look in 3/24 when I dye them.
You two looked really cold with the rain and all. Dean brought his gloves. Are there other food truck 'pods' around Akihabara? You gave me pause with that comment about Denny's being closed. I'm staying at the Akihabara Washington in a month and was planning to breakfast there once or twice. I checked Denny's website and that location is still listed.
That was awesome!! I caught you coming from the corner of my eye 😂 DIANA!!! Wish we had a bit more time to get some lunch but we had to roll back to Marunouchi fast.
Shoes do wear out 😂 that’s quite impressive. But if the soles are still good, they are good to go. People throw things out that still have value, if we can use things longer, that would reduce a load of waste! I tell my wife I can wear the same T-shirt for 10 years but she disagrees 😂 her sense of smell is much better than mine.
Google says 4.3km but we definitely didn’t go in a straight line line. Maybe 8,000 steps plus the 2,500 I did to get there and back home 😉 I did 20,000 by 5pm.

I feel like I’ll be walking most places in Japan, I would never want to miss the hidden gems!! I love these walking videos!!

This livestream was a real treat! I really enjoy these walks. It's also the 1st time I see Dean w/ you in Tokyo. 🤗

Definitely don’t forget good shoes! You think you’ll be in subways and stuff, but walking is incredible here! 15,000-20,000 steps easy to do!

I love watching your feed but, when you take a mate on a 'get lost ' tour your just the best.
Great to see Dean again!

It is really relaxing thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
great video, thank for sharing
❤❤❤❤❤ Wish I can join you both walking there
i have a pair of allbirds. here in toronto the store can be found in yorkdale mall. i got the white wool slipper one. very comfortable shoes indeed.
So light! It’s going to be fun to dye them in Indigo next month. I didn’t know about this brand until a few weeks ago 😂
Tokyo pedestrians so patient and obedient. 😊
only because they're on video. Otherwise they would be completely rude to every American they see.

John that was a nice adventure around Tokyo have a great time with your friend and enjoy your new shoes
Thank you! I’ll be back in a month to dye it Indigo 😆 that will be fun!
Kanda 😂 my favorite station, it has everything !!!!!
You can still find Denny's in the Washington Hotel building :D
This is really good news! It was strange to see they closed the back balcony.

O man, I can’t wait to get back to Tokyo.
why? it is massively overrated
HA! I did Akihabara to Tokyo Station Ginza in December.
That day total was 23,500 steps and 8 miles!
Woah!! It’s always more than what Google Maps says - no straight line 😂 double it.
Nice video
Supa comfy
Hi. I would like to try this churrasco food truck. May I know where it is? 31:50
Hi 👋
Thanks for taking us to Japan through your live streamings and vlogs. Great Job 👏🏼
Is this the kind of rain to expect in June and July?

@@onlyinjapanGO a brilliant solution for reviving stained shoes! Indigo dye. I can't wait to see when you dye your shoes! 👟
Ohhh in kanda yu can get the best aburasona noodles

It was funny, it LOOKED closed, didn’t it? I didn’t confirm it - the balcony though was definitely not open.
It looked closed. Maybe it was because of the weather. @@onlyinjapanGO
Did the walk 2-3 times 2 weeks ago and under sunnier conditions, though 😂❤
Much better weather too!
@onlyinjapanGO Yeah..but I did catch Snowkyo the next day I landed in Tokyo. It was truly magical - 5 February 😍🥶
Ive done the ginza tokyo kanda akihabara walk
It’s a good one, you can go right up CHUO AVE too! I kind of wish we curved past the Vending machine House of Horror in Akihabara.
I'm surprised you didn't get Vessi to sponsor this. XD XD XD
I DID IIIIT! I found you! It was great meeting Dean too ☺️☺️☺️
That was awesome!! I caught you coming from the corner of my eye 😂 DIANA!!! Wish we had a bit more time to get some lunch but we had to roll back to Marunouchi fast.
@@onlyinjapanGO Lunch would have been great but I’m sure it will happen soon! And with Jos too 🤍
Have a good night on that brand new futon of yours ☺️
Awesome.. Time stamp 1:19:17
🎉🎉🎉
is this a promo video?
unfortunately i dont think this was 10,000 steps 😅 10k steps is closer to 9-10km so this was maybe 5-6000?
They are waterproofed shoes.
They’re wool. It does a good job!
Maybe Trader Joe's will give Japan a chance !🔥
Can you get a Tako Taco in Japan?
Taco Bell should definitely do that! 😂
Sneaker heads Should watch 😂
I have 3 pairs of tennis shoes and each are at least 15 years old.

This is sponsored? Why wasn’t this mentioned at the beginning of the video?
There is - it clearly says “paid promotion” overlayed at the start of the video.
@@onlyinjapanGO ok, for 1st 3 sec. Very subtle.
10 seconds - to be accurate.
Thats not 10,000 steps... How are you counting that?
Google says 4.3km but we definitely didn’t go in a straight line line. Maybe 8,000 steps plus the 2,500 I did to get there and back home 😉 I did 20,000 by 5pm.
You don't need a licence for the 20 km/H eScooters. You only have to be 16 years old.
Laws keep changing. You have to know the rules of the road which is why they require license plates. I’ll look into it.
Ohio USA has Trader Joe's... Go Bucks
