When he was in his prime years, no one could could touch him. He is still playing now, but with experience, and the fact that he is not be as nimble as he was, his football brain is serving him well these days. In season 2023 he dominated because he adapted to being someone who can control a game and make the players around him shine.
On the comment on the GI video, I emphasised that understanding the brilliance of Shaun Johnson requires you to have an understanding of the flow of a game of rugby league, so you can see how his play has always been selfless, with his brilliance creating opportunities all over the field for his team mates
Yes bro the boy can play footy , he’s a real fan favourite and really respects the fans as well will go down as one of the legends of Rugby league 👍👍🍺🍺
3:30 this try here , he torn his acl I believe. After that he was never truly the same player in terms of quickness and speed , he also lost his confidence and reinjured his acl during the later years of his career. However last season he returned to play for his first team , a veteran of the game with the mind of one to help his team shine as they made a playoff run. He deserved the daily M award but was robbed of it, SJ has been a pioneer of the game and continues to be
I think you´ll soon realise the more you watch Rugby League the more youre going to notice everyone is an Allround player. Some more than others but you have to know how to do everything in this sport. You need to have all the skills to play at this level. Each position has a different job but everyone has to know how to play the game
You are entirely correct that due to the dynamic nature of both codes of rugby that everyone has to be able to play a broad range of skills ... but some players just have that extra Rugby IQ and they can make opportunities for their team all over the field. See my comments re GI

We call it steppin not juke, lol. Question: where on earth does the word ' juke ' come from?
Most of our players have to be good at defence just as much as attack .
