Heaven And Hell - Live From Radio City Music Hall (2007) Ronnie James Dio - Vocals Tony Iommi - Guitar Geezer Butler - Bass Vinny Appice - Drums Scott Warren - Keyboards
Observations: 1) These guys had a chemistry like no other heavy metal band ever and they had the talent to back it up. 2) Dio is the best heavy metal (among other genres) singer, -who ever lived. 3) Therefore, this is the best heavy metal band ever (think, -voodoo, walk away, mob rules, lady evil, neon nights etc., on and on)
Goosebumps city! That hammer on chord with the slide at the end of the riff is the nastiest thing I’ve ever heard in this lifetime, and I am sure the next too! Holy Jesus
Ronnie was around since the late 50's with dowop bands, then Elf, rainbow, Sabbath, and he says "on and on". This guy paid his fuckin' dues a hundred times over. No slacking in Sabbath or Heaven and Hell, whatever you wanna call it. People, listen to some Elf stuff, you will see the man was ahead of the times.
You're exactly right. He sounded awesome with everything he did. He's from my area of New York so I always hear stories about him. I always hear how he was well respected and he loved his fans. It's great to hear that someone I look up to was a good guy. You're right about Elf. They had a cool southern rock kind of sound. I recently listened to Ronnie and the Red Caps since that was a really popular band around here years ago. He sounded great singing that stuff too! He could sing just about anything. He did what he loved right up until the end and he sounded great doing it. He paid his dues and he is a legend.
1. I'm glad that we've got a high quality live recording of 'I'. That song rocks so damn hard. Dehumanizer in general is an underrated and awesome album. 2. Dio was 65 when he recorded this. How many singers could even come close to this at 25 or 35? The man was built different. What a legend. I think it says everything when I guy renames himself God, and everyone responds with, "Yeah, that makes sense." RIP RJD.
I am anger Under pressure Lost it cages A prisoner The first to escape I am wicked I am legion Strength in numbers A lie The number is one I, I, I Everything that I see is for me Yes, I am giant I'm a monster Breaking windows In houses Buildings of glass Rebel rebel Holy outlaw Ride together Don't try it The power's in one I, I, I I am standing alone But I can rock you I, I, I On the edge of the blade But the knife can't cut the hero down I am virgin I'm a whore Giving nothing The taker The maker of war I'll smash your face in But with a smile All together You'll never Be stronger than me I, I, I Right here on my own But I still rock you I, I, I Don't follow behind Just leave me on the outside I, I, I I am standing alone But I can shock you I, I, I On the edge of the blade But no one makes the hero bleed (No, no, no) I am hunger Feed my head All together You'll never Never make the hero bleed (No, no, no )
Ronnie wrote this song about himself,.... i am giant, i am a monster, the powers in one.... yes my friend you were the greatest singer in rock music, a real giant🤘
this is the 9th time, i'm watching it, still couldn't sit down to listen to it with breaking my neck.............. happy birthday dio............. wish i could have seen you live............. R.I.P
This concert was recorded live at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Black Sabbath released this concert on a cd and DVD, and is sold at the stores.
The only thing Ozzy has is that anatomical accident that gave him that ghostly voice. He also has amazing drive, but Dio is technically leaps and bounds better and he had to work for everything he got.
DIO HE CAME HE SEEN AND HE CONCURED HEAVY METAL GOD BLESS OZZIE GREAT STUFF BUT GIVE ME RONNIE IT BOGGLES THE MIND TO THINK OF WHAT THEY REALY THOUGHT OF EACH OTHER AWAY FROM THE PRESS AND EGOS OF SHOW BUSSINESS RANDY RHODES DIO WOW THAT WOULD HAVE ROCKED THANKS FOR THE MEOMRIES
yeah Black Sabbath got bigger with Ronnie in the group and even sold more but Ronnie has a better style of singing Ozzy is good also but not the best the new c.d is really good again different music

Dio is one of the few musicians I enjoy actually watching. His stage presence is astounding. King Diamond is another. RIP Dio.

Ronnie James Dio, o melhor cantor do Heavy Metal. A lenda.
Classic live performance of which the original version was from the 1992 studio long play entitled "Dehumanizer"!

THE BEST DIO ERA SABBATH TUNE !!
I am anger
Under pressure
Lost it cages
A prisoner
The first to escape
I am wicked
I am legion
Strength in numbers
A lie
The number is one
I, I, I
Everything that I see is for me
Yes, I am giant
I'm a monster
Breaking windows
In houses
Buildings of glass
Rebel rebel
Holy outlaw
Ride together
Don't try it
The power's in one
I, I, I
I am standing alone
But I can rock you
I, I, I
On the edge of the blade
But the knife can't cut the hero down
I am virgin
I'm a whore
Giving nothing
The taker
The maker of war
I'll smash your face in
But with a smile
All together
You'll never
Be stronger than me
I, I, I
Right here on my own
But I still rock you
I, I, I
Don't follow behind
Just leave me on the outside
I, I, I
I am standing alone
But I can shock you
I, I, I
On the edge of the blade
But no one makes the hero bleed
(No, no, no)
I am hunger
Feed my head
All together
You'll never
Never make the hero bleed
(No, no, no )
Dude was all of 5’ 4” but his voice was 100 feet tall. 🤘🏼

Tony Iommi. The Godfather. Of all of us.
This tune and a bottle of Jack and you'll feel like taking on the world, if you are still standing.
I just cry.RIP RJD
This is the same man that simply suggested a band be formed...that band is Manowar. Dio is truly a metal god.
Praise St. Dio!!

Butler kicks in a fuzz pedal on his bass. Listen to the bass line during the solo.
marcusdolby1 right!
Theo Napoloni Check out 3:13 Butlers bass is matching the guitar riff behind Tony's solo.
Geezer and his bass is doing the rhythm.
Probably Geoff Nichols
need some bassy tune on straight jacket😁
Dio sounds so much better with Sabbath, compares to Ozzy.
yeah Black Sabbath got bigger with Ronnie in the group and even sold more but Ronnie has a better style of singing Ozzy is good also but not the best the new c.d is really good again different music
versteckt euch metalkids sabaton.,.. .u.s.w.
Always hated when Dio was singing his little quirks over a solo, whether it was Tony or Viv.
