    My suicidal thoughts went away when I cut out all sugars, flours, and processed foods. Keto really helped me. My depression improved, even more, when I started eating carnivore and started losing weight.
    I have suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts all of my life. I am 70 years young.

    A valid observation about depression is that it is the inhibition of neurogenesis in the hippocampi that likely causes as it is associated with depression esp among chemotherapy recipients due to neurogenesis inhibition as chemotherapeutics kill off the blast cells that drive neurogenesis, Inflammaging also inhibits their function but the relationship is bidirectional. It is the inhibited neurogenesis that emerges as the common theme underlying inflammaging and in reality the entire aging process.

    I wasn't looking for all the esoteric, but just the 5 ways to reduce inflammation. It was almost as if the commentators are saying to the audience, "you will wade through this morass, or else I'm not giving you the 5 ways." Cut the crap, and get to it. People have lives to lead. They don't need to hear all the ins and outs of how much you know that is irrelevant to their daily lives. I'm like 10 minutes (or what feels like half an hour) into this diatribe, and still not one of the supposed 5 ways has yet been given. Here I am wanting relief from this horrendous inflammation, and I find myself listening to this long ego trip. Huge turnoff.

    • @Anthony-wr2sm
      @Anthony-wr2sm 2 роки тому +15

      Sounds like inflammation isn't your biggest problem - a short attention span is. Long form conversations are much more enlightening if you actually listen and try to learn something. I hate all these modern UA-camrs dishing out advice i.e. some 20 year old kid with a video titled "5 ways to do X" and then he gives you his stupid uninformed opinion based off another video he watched. If you listen to the experts speak here you will understand why real information can't be dispensed in the length of a TicTok video.

      Lucy I apologize for the condescending response you received in answer to your post.
      I agree that this is far too long and, like most people I know, you probably are busy and can’t take two hours (or much more if you want to review) out of your week (let alone your day) to listen to an interview.
      And it’s NOT because of your attention span.

    I’m sorry but this psychiatrist needs to update his education. Maybe antidepressants do decrease inflammation but they also cause SEVERE withdrawal syndromes and even more inflammation when you try to come off of them IF you can find a doctor to help you get off. There are thousands of us in living agony in support groups because Psychiatry continues to ignore the adverse effects and withdrawal syndromes created by psychiatric drugs. He might want to watch “Medicating Normal” to shed light on his knowledge.
