Nice testimony. It is true - only the LORD can convert a person. Even though I was born in a Christian family, I lived life like a non-believer - indulging in all pleasures - lust, alcohol, smoking. It was only when I really prayed to the Lord on my knees to save me from hyper-tension - high BP - 111 177 - that the Holy Spirit spoke to me. Till that time I had never encountered God. But the Holy Spirit - healed me from hypertension - and He also freed me from the bondage of lust, alcohol and smoking. No god or religion can break the bondage of lust or addictions other than Jehovah (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). There is no God who can save like Jesus. Daniel 3:29b - "because there is no other God who can deliver like this."
No He spoke in my mind. Twice He said the same thing. I knew it was the Holy Spirit because 3 things happened after that: 1. I started studying the Bible with great interest. 2. The feeling of lust left me. 3. I started to preach about Jesus to my friends and cousins and did not want to talk about anything else. I used to use the internet for wrong purposes, but now I was surfing the net for Bible studies, listening to testimonies. I used to love drinking and smoking with little problem of conscience. Smoking I left but held on to alcohol. Eventually with 4 more signs, the Holy Spirit made me leave alcohol.
Your very opening words PRAISE THE LORD indicates clearly that Christ yearns for your praise. A true god does not require any praise for himself. He only wants to be true to others and do service to them. There christ is only a human being.

Even though I was born in a Christian family, I lived life like a non-believer - indulging in all pleasures - lust, alcohol, smoking. It was only when I really prayed to the Lord on my knees to save me from hyper-tension - high BP - 111 177 - that the Holy Spirit spoke to me. Till that time I had never encountered God. But the Holy Spirit - healed me from hypertension - and He also freed me from the bondage of lust, alcohol and smoking. No god or religion can break the bondage of lust or addictions other than Jehovah (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
There is no God who can save like Jesus. Daniel 3:29b - "because there is no other God who can deliver like this."

No He spoke in my mind. Twice He said the same thing.
I knew it was the Holy Spirit because 3 things happened after that:
1. I started studying the Bible with great interest.
2. The feeling of lust left me.
3. I started to preach about Jesus to my friends and cousins and did not want to talk about anything else.
I used to use the internet for wrong purposes, but now I was surfing the net for Bible studies, listening to testimonies.
I used to love drinking and smoking with little problem of conscience. Smoking I left but held on to alcohol. Eventually with 4 more signs, the Holy Spirit made me leave alcohol.

Dear Uma. I can so relate to you. I was equally from a Hindu background. I was also very staunch in my belief then. I even would slam the door on Christians who came to visit or try to share the Gospel. Over 35 years ago, my wife and I received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
